  1. I was shocked when I heard that Rogers was traded, but when I seen what we got for him, I love this deal. Stearns has been superb so far.
  2. hawing, enjoyed your tangent. Very true on all accounts. Enjoyed this letter from Mark as I do every year. He was honest and with the people he has in charge I know they can rebuild this thing and get back to being a playoff team. I have full faith in this new Baseball Operations crew and Counsell as the field Manager. I also thought it was pure class of Mark to thank Doug for all his work at the end of the letter. Looking forward to another season of Brewers baseball no matter how many losses come in 2016. Trust the process and we will see bright days again sooner than later.
  3. More excited for Cecchini to be honest. But doesn't hurt to give Middlebrooks a shot in spring. Just see what sticks.

  5. Whoa! Awesome news. I will be there.
  6. I was glad they did not get Zunino. I know he is just turning 25, but he has been awful in his 3 big league season. If he does improve, I doubt it would be by much. Would rather get three young arms that have potential .
  7. I like the trade on paper, trade a border line platoon guy like Lind with a bad back and 1 year on his contract for three very young pitchers who may or may not develop into something. Will it work out? Who knows? We will have to wait a few years to even begin to guess. If they even hit on one of them it was more than worth it. I trust Stearns because I believe he is very smart and has good people working around him.
  8. Thanks for the tip Baldkin, enjoyed that article. Really like Stearns more and more. Just seems like he is on the ball and going to be great for this organization.
  9. I had been checking back the past few days to see who would start this thread. Wish it would have went another week or two. Oh well, in my neck of the woods only supposed to be 2-4. I can live with that. Snowblower needs a warm up anyway.
  10. Like that some of the Counsell bobbles will be player Craig and some manager Craig. Wonder what design they will go with for each and if it will be a 50/50 split or one more rare than the other.
  11. Could do without another Hank bobble, but very excited for the Greg Vaughn.
  12. Yeah I agree with you And That. They seem to be hitched together and on the same page as to how they want to turn this thing around. Stearns even joked at one point saying he has been texting Craig so much for information that he hopes he is not getting sick of him. And Counsell in turn said he enjoys it and loves the communication daily.
  13. I went to the event. Thought it was a really cool experience and yet another perk to being a season seat holder. These are the kinds of things that keep me coming back and renewing my package each season. It was a Thursday night out listening to two intelligent guys (Stearns and Counsell) talk baseball. With these two on the same page I think we are headed toward really good things.
  14. K-Rod would seem to be a lock to get a bobble this year barring a trade. Long overdue considering how long he has been with the club now. Other than him I would say a Braun franchise HR leader would be cool. Maybe Counsell, Nelson, Santana and I would like to see a classic player from the 90's like Cirillo or Burnitz. Or maybe even a Bill Schroeder.
  15. Bikeage77, sent you a PM. Thanks.
  16. While I don't think Utley intended to hurt Tejada. I think he intended to break up that double play by any means. Even if it meant roughing Tejada up enough to where he could not make a throw to 1B. Just so happens he roughed him up enough to break his leg. Not dirty, but not right either. Hope they do something to the rule to stop things of this nature.
  17. Kelbysdaddy please check your private messages. Thanks.
  18. I know the pennant's are out there. I seen them. I have an 82' AL Champs pennant, 11' NL Central Division Champs pennant and a 57' World Series Champs Braves pennant. Want to get this pennant to add to this area of my basement wall. And hopefully more in the future
  19. I am looking for a 2008 Brewers Wild Card pennant, if you have one and are willing to sell or trade for bobbleheads. Please let me know, thanks!
  20. Hopefully Lopez will get at least one start and I hope they give Reed the chance to start some games in the OF and bat leadoff.
  21. Orlando Arcia is a beast. Fantastic season, and he really turns it on during the playoffs. Pretty neat that the Shuckers in their first season have this awesome roster who are this close to winning a championship. It's just AA baseball, but winning a championship at any level is pretty special. And this is a special team.
