  1. Pedro, I would love the Weeks Beckett. Thanks for the chance again as always!
  2. Im so glad we are at least going to see some Brewers baseball today.
  3. That had me cracking up. But then I thought about it and knew it would be true. Branyan can do things other men only dream of.
  4. Wins are hard to judge because of the variables and such. But I would say 29 between the two. Gallardo with 16 and Parra with 13.
  5. If there is no baseball today I'm going to go nuts. We have all waited to long for meaningful baseball and having to wait yet another day is too much. I hope and pray somehow the rain is light and they can play through. I already used 3 sick hours to leave work at 2pm and I really don't want to change that for tomorrow.
  6. Player of The Year: Ryan Braun - I don't think the intercostal will be a big deal, he will be better then last year. I expect big things just like I know he does. Like Shane Douglas was to ECW Ryan is "The Franchise" to the Brewers. Pitcher of The Year: Yovani Gallardo - A flat out stud, if he stays healthy which I think he will and the knee does not seem to be an issue he will put up big numbers. Rookie of The Year: Brad Nelson - I think you can take it to the bank that he will have some big pinch hits and when he gets his chance to start and give guys days off he will make the most of it. Unsung Hero: Rickie Weeks - I do believe Rickie will break out this season, will he ever live up to #2 overall pick hype? No, but I think he will be much improved and have a 20/20 season. Minor League Impact Player: Brett Lawrie - All I have heard is how special this guy is. I buy into the hype and think he will put up huge numbers for the Timber Rattlers and probably move up to AA Huntsville before the season ends. Brewers will win 88 games and win the NL Wild Card.
  7. The time is now. After breaking a 26 year post season drought lets try to get back for the second year in a row. Come on Soup! Step your game up!
  8. Wow, AJAY this is perfect. All the changed I would make for the Brewers. My biggest thing is they need to put "Milwaukee" across the road jerseys instead of "Brewers". That would make me really happy. Any of the other suggestions you made would be icing on the cake.
  9. I was so happy when I heard this news. Gwynn making the team over Duffy would have been a crime. Gwynn is lucky to even be considered a AAAA player.
  10. They already have. I got a text from a friend this morning saying Braun was the new Sheets. I did not respond, as I did not think it deserved a response. It's ridiculous if anyone is thinking that. If people start to give Braun the Sheets treatment for an intercostal tightness and a bruised thumb I might lose it.
  11. Ordered my "Milwaukee" shirt today. Also got the discounted "LaRussa DUI" shirt.
  12. Man this sucks, Braun gets his rib healthy enough and now gets hit in the hand by a ball. Hopefully this is no big deal.
  13. Now the Brewers just have to pick Duffy over Gwynn and all will be well.
  14. Very happy with the McGehee over Lamb decision. In Doug we trust.
  15. I'm too busy watching golf today, otherwise I would have listened to the ball game.
  16. Its about time they make note of the 1981 playoff appearance. Im really glad they finally did that. I think a lot of casual fans probably don't even know that the Brewers were in the playoffs that year they just know about the beaten to death 82' season.
  17. Seeing that many of us on this site are big fans of "The Office" it seems natural to start a thread for a similar style comedy written by some of the same people from "The Office" (Michael Schur and Greg Daniels). I'm really looking forward to the premier April 9th, should be a solid comedy. I like the writers, I like Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones and I really like the little that Aziz Ansari was in "Flight of The Conchords" so I expect good things from this show.
  18. That cannot taste goodhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gifHaha, fixed. And it didn't taste good.
  19. I feel REAL confident that Nelson has locked up a spot, but it seems Duffy and McGehee are still up in the air which sucks. Seeing TGJ's name on the 25 man roster might make me throw up a little bit in my mouth.
  20. 6 2/3 solid innings from Bush, besides the two long balls which were the first two he had given up this spring which I did not know. I really feel good about him this season like he is going to have a real nice year. And you got to respect that beard. Nelson is a beast, so strong. Look forward to seeing him pinch hit late in games this season and being the new Branyan.
  21. I guess what would March in Wisconsin be without at least one storm. Doesn't seem like it will be too bad. Should all melt tomorrow and Monday anyway.
  22. Very excited to see Bush pitch, possibly see if Riske can pitch a clean inning, Escobar play defense and see a lot of the backups vying for spots: Gwynn, Duffy, McGehee, Nelson and Lamb.
  23. Hi, I'm Michael Gary Scott. I've been working in paper for the last fifteen years and with paper since I was eight. I love that part of the letter. "with paper since I was eight." I just find that really funny.
