  1. I am a bit interested to see where Michael and Pam actually go. How can he possible start up his own paper company?
  2. Mark DeRosa If McGehee came even close to DeRosa I would be very pleased. I'm not saying Casey will be a star but he has had a great spring and flat out deserves to make the club over Lamb. We need a second righty anyway besides Rivera on the bench.
  3. Hardy is much more of a player then I ever thought. I mean I thought he would be okay, maybe hit 10 to 15 HR's but he has hit 20+ and drove in more runs then I expected. Pretty much whay I thought he would be on defense. Not flashy, but as solid as they come at SS with a strong arms.
  4. And he already looked pretty locked in. Had some very good AB's in the WBC and was hitting the ball hard. Just let him have the next 12 days off.
  5. Really? I didn't see it. Weird and I usually search "robin yount poster" everyday. I can't afford $200 or more for a signed one but I think I would have thrown down $82 for an unsigned one.
  6. Link For anyone looking for the sweet Young and Molitor "The Batman and Robin" poster someone has one up on ebay signed by Yount. The reserve is $200. I really want this poster and have been looking for one for sometime but I can't afford it right now with my wedding coming up in a month and I wanted an un-signed copy. But I thought I would share because I'm sure someone out there wants this bad boy.
  7. Ugghhh, why in the heck was he even playing today? He should have been shut down until opening day to rest the right side.
  8. I'm not saying which we should trade but off the top of my head: Escobar, Gamel, Lucroy, Cain, Jeffress, Salome, Green, Gillespie, Brewer, etc. All I was saying is we have a lot of top notch minor league talent that I bet the Padres would be interested in.
  9. I'm still holding out hope for Peavy come mid season. If we are in it and getting a top notch starter puts us over the top I hope we at least try to get Jake to want to come here. Obviously we have the prospects to get the deal done. I'm sure if Peavy had already signed off on the Brewers the Pads would be working hard to trade him to us knowing how good our farm system is.
  10. I would give Gwynn up for just about anything just so Melvin and Macha are not tempted to have him make the team. If he is kept on the big club over Duffy I will be very ticked.
  11. Some shows I have started watching recently: MLB Tonight How I Met Your Mother (had seen it before but just started watching on a weekly basis, it's awesome)
  12. Sucks that Chris Duffy and Casey McGehee might get punished and go to AAA just because they have options. Where as Gwynn and Lamb who have done nothing really to deserve to make the club will because they have no options. At least Nelson seems to have nailed down a spot.
  13. (even though I haven't been able to shake the image of that "fastball" he tried to "blow past" Burrell for 5 months now) ((fresh season, fresh junkballer)) Priceless. "fastball" and "blow past".
  14. He would be my choice, heck he was my choice before we signed Hoffman. This way we get a sneak preview of Seth in that role, perhaps if he has success he could be the guy next year or in two years. Depends how long they keep Hoffman.
  15. Me to, I really like the score box in the upper left corner as opposed to the box across the whole top of the screen.
  16. Davey Johnson made some very poor decisions throughout the tourney that is for sure. I know he is in a hard place but you have to be more in to win this thing then "get everyone work". The Jeter playing SS over J Roll and batting 2nd or 3rd most games was just plain wrong. Jeter is still a good player but not when you have this team of guys he should be batting 7, 8 or 9. I hope the next time around Johnson or whoever manages, makes moves based on trying to win and matchups then make everyone happy.
  17. Perfect statement. Rivera deserves to get more PT, not saying he is great or a starting caliber catcher but did enough last year to garner more PT. Plus no matter how much Kendall thinks he can catch 140+ games at his age he can't and needs more rest to stay fresh. Like this move by Macha.
  18. I guess we all kind of saw this coming so I'm not to upset with it. But yeah if I had to start anyone other then Gallardo on opening day it would be Bush. He deserves it. Oh well at Least Gallardo and Parra go back to back after Suppan and Looper starts the home opener.
  19. If Lamb, Gwynn or even Nixon make this club over a guy like Nelson, Duffy or McGehee I would be really disappointed in Doug and Ken.
  20. If Gwynn by some chance makes the team over Nelson I would be flat out ticked. The only reason Gwynn in my opinion has ever been given a legit look is the name on his jersey, if his name was Joe Schmo no one would ever even care about Gwynn. Just my opinion. If you want a late inning defensive OF for some odd reason you can use Chris Duffy who plays all three OF spots well. Nelson is a much better offensive player to have on your bench then Gwynn.
  21. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! Lets do this boys. Baseball is America's past time, lets show that to the rest of the world. I hope Braun plays, but only if he is 100% healthy. Otherwise sit him, as important as I think this game is as a WBC fan, Braun is more important to me as a Brewers fan.
  22. Another good outing from Bush. I said at the beginning of the year I expected good things from him, its only spring games but he has looked awesome so far.
  23. Thought I would update my original list since Looper does not appear to be starting the season the DL. C - Jason Kendall 1B - Prince Fielder 2B - Rickie Weeks SS - JJ Hardy 3B - Bill Hall LF- Ryan Braun CF - Mike Cameron RF - Corey Hart Bench: C - Mike Rivera IF - Craig Counsell OF - Chris Duffy IF/OF - Brad Nelson IF - Casey McGehee Starting Pitchers: SP - Yovani Gallardo SP - Manny Parra SP - Dave Bush SP - Braden Looper SP - Jeff Suppan Relief Pitchers: RP - Carlos Villanueva RP - David Riske RP - Mitch Stetter RP - Mark DiFelice RP - Toddy Coffey RP - Seth McClung CP - Trevor Hoffman It seems to be the final two bullpen spots will come down to three guys: DiFelice, Julio and Coffey. I think Julio will be the odd man out but who knows for sure.
  24. That could be very interesting and funny. I would love it they went that route.
  25. Yeah it does not look as good as my other HD channels.
