  1. I have no problem with a Kendall. I wanted Gallardo and even Parra but there time will come.
  2. I to saw that episode of Prime 9. I could not believe Braun didn't even come in at 9 or 8 on the list. I mean he had some pretty sick numbers as a rookie, and did it with missing almost the first two months. He was robbed. ------------------------------------- Locked in favor of new thread: What do you think of MLB Network? --1992 -------------------------------------
  3. Can't complain at all with this signing of Looper. Guy that can give you 200 innings, had an ERA under 4.20, won 12 games last year and had improved both years he has been a starter. Hopefully he improves once again for us as a Brewer. This gives us more depth and allows us to put McClung back in the pen where he really came on last season.
  4. I'm a big fan of all the bobbles except Suppan. I'm a collector but I'm not one to have to get all of them so like usual I won't get the sausage because I don't care for them and I won't get Suppan. However I'm very psyched for the Braun with the First Pump, Hoffman, Melvin and Kendall. I was thinking for awhile Melvin would be a good choice, I mean he has been GM since 2003. I was hoping for Gallardo like most but like hofcs said they are probably wating till 2010 to give us a Yovani and Manny bobble.
  5. I remember that Howard/Thome/Phillies situation. That seemed like a real mess.
  6. Hammonds and Stubbs are my top two for the Crew. Suppan is right there though.
  7. No free agent years, bust still not bad to buy out all the arby years and not have the headache of possibly going to more hearings with Ryan. Now he can just focus on baseball.
  8. Was I surprised about A-Rod? Yeah, a little. But I wasn't shocked. I would be SHOCKED if Griffey or Thomas tested positive for many of the reasons already stated.
  9. I think Griffey is a 1st ballot no brainer and always has been. I thought it might take Thomas sometime. Not any more, Thomas should be in on 1st ballot as well.
  10. Yup Griffey and Thomas the only clean great players of the steroid era. I used to really like A-Rod but now I'm ashamed of him.
  11. I will see it. But I'm a baseball nerd and enjoyed the book. Who will play Paul DePodesta?
  12. Wow! I always thought he was clean. This will for sure taint some of his accomplishments. How does this not come out until 6 years later?
  13. I never found Costas to be funny just love his baseball knowledge. He is a real fan of the game and a very smart one at that.
  14. Love the move, it gives depth and at this point that is something we really need. He has good minor league numbers which I know doesn't translate to MLB success all the time but he seems to have decent stuff and is a lefty.
  15. I have always been a big Costas fan. I was psyched when I heard he was joining the network. His own show "MLB Network Studio 42 with Bob Costas" will be great and the fact that he is gonna call play-by-play for some select games is even better. Always loved him as a game caller.
  16. That's a cool bobble. I have to admit when I read the title of this thread I thought it would have the list of the 2009 Brewers SGA bobbles.
  17. 1 year $25 mill seems like a good fair deal for Manny and the Dodgers. Can't believe he rejected it. Well, I guess I can it is Scott Boras were talking aout.
  18. I hope for Rogers and for the Brewers sake something miraculous does happen and he gets to the bigs. Or at least pitches good enough to get to AAA.
  19. The fact we have not added even any pitchers to minor league deals tells me that our second options if we have an injury might be Chris Capuano, Mark DiFelice and maybe to a lesser extent Mark Rogers who is coming into camp healthy for the first time in 2 years.
  20. Overpaying for Perez. He is not all that good, he has "stuff" but just walks to many guys. Not a very good WHIP. Never pitched more then 200 innings in a season.
  21. I really enjoyed the entire episode but like most thought the first half was stronger. But all of Michael's "boom, roasted" lines at the end were awesome. The whole opening scene was one of my favorites ever.
  22. I'm sure the brand was Affliction.
  23. Yeah I suppose, but the thing is I hear much more stories of him being "off" then being "on".
  24. To me it is what it is. The Super Bowl is one game, that is why it is bigger. Baseball is a series and it has to stay that way. I watch the Super Bowl every year, but I'm always more excited for the World Series.
  25. Why would Shouse sign pictures of Sheets anyway?
