I'm a big fan of DeJesus. I would love to swing a deal for him. I just don't see it happening since we brought Cameron back.

Quite a few very positive reviews: Rolling Stone, Spin, Billboard, Klosterman on the AVclub.com and a few others I can't remember right now.

I own the first 4 seasons on DVD. I can watch those over and over again and not get bored. I think last season and this season are just as good as anything from the first 3 seasons. This is by far my favorite show on TV now and maybe ever. I just think the comedy is brilliant, I'm also a big fan of the original UK version that Ricky Gervais created. I have those on DVD as well.

I'm with you, if a Best Buy in the Milwaukee area opened at midnight I would be there. Even the lead singer of the Eagles of Death Metal who HATES Axl Rose has heard the finished record and said it is very good and well done. Chuck Klosterman gave it an A-. He is as hipster as it gets.

Of the two single already released "Chinese Democracy" and "Better" I like them both, but "Better" is a much better track. I have read a lot of reviews from various publications thus far and all are positive. People always want to complain about no Slash but the other players that have played on this record: Buckethead, Robin Finck, Richard Fortus and Bumblefoot are no slouches. I have only heard a demo version of "There Was A Time" and can't wait to hear the finished product but I don't know how anyone can't be impressed with the guitar work in that song. To me, yes having Slash and the other original Guns would be cool but when I think GNR I don't think Slash, Izzy and Duff. I think the lead singer, the guy who writes and sings the songs. That is Axl. Just my opinion.

5 days away from an album that has taken 14 years, numerous studios, band members and millions of dollars. Are you getting it? Are you excited? I know its not the original GNR, but it is still Axl singing and writing the songs and he has a bunch of good musicians with him. I'm getting it and I am pumped.

Maybe but he had real nice numbers in SD last season. In 54 games he had 74 K's to 19 BB and ERA of 2.48 and a WHIP of 1.04. Not bad at all.

What about possibly trading for Mark Teahen? Straight up Hall for Teahen, I have seen that mentioned a few other places.

I bought tickets over the phone right away this morning for myself and three friends. Looking forward to the event. Like hawing said it will be a nice little dose of baseball in the dull drums of winter.

Seeing how Mike Adams pitched last year in SD I kind of wish we wouldn't have given up on him for Geremi Gonzalez. Two of my favorite trades besides the obvious Sexson and Sabathia deals would have to be the trades for Shouse and Villanueva. Melvin killed on those trades.

7 years $175 mill. That is insane for a pitcher, I know CC is great. But man to me no pitcher is worth that much money.

I totally agree with this. I think doing it this way will make it more organized and not as chaotic. I would totally be willing to pay $15 for the event and then $25 for Braun. That is fine by me.

Anyone else see this on HBO this past weekend? It was fantastic, very funny stuff. Much if it can't be discussed on this forum though. If you missed it it is available "On Demand" now.

It was a good fight, I thought Couture would grind it out because of his experience and just because how good he is. But when Brock lays a few licks on you it's tough to come back from that. Brock is a flat out beast. I forget the fighters but what about the knock out I think in the third to last fight? That was a nasty uppercut!

"Whats first base with Angela?" "Kissing her on the forehead."

I have a feeling you are right. I think Boston will try to bring him back. I also wouldn't mind bringing Lamb back, but my heart screams for Branyan.

I hope it's not Wood or Hoffman and not because I don't think they are solid pitchers. We don't need to spend big bucks on a closer. Seth McClung should be our closer. I say the first signing will be Sheets or Kapler.

"I think it's going to be mutually beneficial to us and for these particular players that we're after for them to join the Yankees." That quote from Steinbrenner really set me off. Like it's so beneficial to be a Yankee and they are so much better then everyone else. Please. Screw Hank.

    Kapler and Shouse for sure.

This is a sad, sad day in the world of sports blogging. Besides Deadspin this was my favorite blog to read. I to might have to order a shirt in honor of the site.

I have no clue who will win. But I think it's gonna be a great fight. The past and present against the future of the Heavyweight division.

I would love to be able to attend these once and hear how the GM's wheel and deal. Would be very interesting.

Nice picture. Not bad at all, looking forward to watching her on MLB Network. Wonder who they will get to replace her for FSN.
