  1. Thanks Pedro. Well I think after this loss today. I have officially given up. I have been as optimistic as possible but these last three losses have pushed me over the edge. I will still watch the games out this year but I officially give up on the pipe dream of playing in the playoffs in 2008.
  2. Well after this loss that will just about squash our playoff hopes. It shows you how bad this month has been when even CC' starts are not sure wins anymore.
  3. He has been pretty awful so far. People always got on Sveum, I didn't think he was that bad.
  4. I have not problem with Mark Attanasio whatsoever. Without him here the last 4 years who knows where we are at.
  5. I keep asking myself if this is some sick nightmare and I will wake up anytime and it will be September 1st.
  6. I thought Uecker's call of the Soto HR was classic Ueck and you could tell the frustration in his voice. "And here's the pitch.....he just hit a HR." and then like 30 seconds of silence just crowd noise. It was depressing.
  7. If the T-Rats do indeed become the Brewers A affiliate I will for sure be making the 50 minute drive up to Appleton numerous times next summer for games. I already go to a few games a year because it's baseball, cheap, nice stadium, and good cheap food. Now being able to see future Brewers will make it that much sweeter.
  8. As good a player and as much as I like Hardy I think he will bring the best pitching in a trade and with Escobar just about ready he may be gone this winter. At this point Hardy probably has more value then Prince or Hart. It will be interesting to see what moves this team makes this winter to sure up some of the things we have sucked at this season.
  9. Your living in So Cal now right? See if you can exchange it for Dodgers gear? They look like a lock for the playoffs. I'm watching This Week In Baseball right now before the game comes on and I swear each time I hear Pat Hughes call of the final out of the Big Z no-no hearing Ron Santo scream "Yeeeeeesssss!" when Erstad swings and misses I die a little inside.
  10. Pedro, I do remember you calling this awhile back. I don't think you said they would collapse but you didn't think they would get to the playoffs. I don't remember how far back that was but I believe you started a thread about it. Man your a prophet. Still standing by the not renewing your season tickets for 2009?
  11. A Cain/Gallardo/Parra/Bush/Suppan rotation can contend in 09. I totally agree with that. That is a rotation that could do some things. However if they want Hardy and Fielder for Cain, no way. Unless they will throw in Randy Winn and another prospect or two but even then it's pushing it. If it was Cain for Hardy straight up as much as I like Hardy we have Escobar ready and with Sheets and CC leaving we need pitching bad.
  12. Mods lock, I must have created as other one was.
  13. CC Sabathia (15-9, 2.88) vs. Johnny Cueto (8-13, 4.68) TV: Fox-HD Radio: WTMJ 620 (Brewers Radio Network) Dear Brewers, if you would like to have the chance to experience something like the picture below you must win these next 8 games starting with today. GET IT DONE! Please http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brew/county/image/1982alcs.jpg
  14. Vedder's love of the Cubs has always been the one and only thing I have disliked about EV/PJ.
  15. I was almost going to start a similar topic. He has to still be feeling some effects of the injury or because of the injury his swing mechanics are all screwed up. Any way you slice it this is not the Ryan Braun we are used to seeing nor do I think this is the real Ryan Braun. He is a much, much better player then he has been over the past month to month and a half. Hopefully he can get somewhat back on track here and then just come out on a tear in 2009.
  16. American Pyscho, great movie. Me and my buddy were thinking we cursed Yost. We met him Wednesday the 10th at the players lot and talked to him for a bit. He won his last game as Brewers Manager that day.
  17. 1. Fourth and 26 2. Today's game 3. Bucks game 5 vs. Sixers in 2001 Conference Finals 4. When Jerry Rice fumbled and the refs missed the call, then Terrell Owens caught the touchdown 5. 2008 NFC Championship I would have to agree with all of those. But very close to that list would be 82' series game 7, Super Bowl 32 loss to Denver and the Rams playoff game when Favre threw 6 INT's.
  18. Would be great to see a USA team even without the best player win. Looking forward to watching today's play. What time and channel?
  19. Talk about something you love teaming up with something you hate. Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam has written a Cubs theme song titled "All The Way". It was recorded when Ed did a solo show in Chicago last month. The song will be available for download at pearljam.com in the next few days. I guess the song is a huge hit already at Chicago radio stations and bars. PUKE! Why does Ed have to be a Cubs fan.
  20. Totally agree on Rome and Homer. Rome is by far my favorite sports talk radio host ever. He is an aquired listen though I think as you either love him or hate him it seems. Homer is very good to. The other day Homer and whoever his producer is did a "skit" that was supposed to be a spoof of the court scene from "A Few Good Men" but it was Mark Attanasio on the stand being asked if he ordered the "Yost Firing". It was classic. "Did you order the YOST FIRING!"
  21. Looking to trade for a Yovani if anyone has an extra. All I have to trade though is a Barrel Man bobble or a Quad Cities Riverbandits Rick Ankiel bobble, I got this when I went to visit friends in Davenport, Iowa and we went to a Riverbandits game. Let me know.
  22. Melvin or whoever the GM is needs to get a solid closer, a true leadoff hitter who carries a good average and a high OBP and another starter probably a #2 guy behind Yovani. If we can bring in those three things it will help a lot.
  23. Jeff Suppan is garbage. Plain and simple. And we are stuck with him for 2 more years. He has had two chances to pitch in big games late in September down the stretch here and he has gotten lit up each time. Suppan is the new Jeffrey Hammonds without the injuries.
  24. I'm not done, I will still watch the rest of the games this season. But after these last two losses I'm not nearly as optimistic as I was. I have watched many years of Brewers baseball down with the stretch with them having no shot at the playoffs so why would I give up now. I love baseball and that is reason enough to continue to watch. And heck, CC is pitching today on national TV in HD. Thats cool to me.
