  1. A-Rod crushed that ball. I couldn't tell after ESPN showed multiple views. It was tough.
  2. Exactly. And one of Matt's greatest strengths is his eye. I'm sure he could carry a better OBP then Hall or even Counsell the rest of the way.
  3. That's tough, lot of good candidates in the NL. It would be cool if it ws Kapler, but I do like Tatis as well. I mean I thought he was out of baseball hadn't heard of him in forever.
  4. I am a little worried about them no doubt. They have been hot and have a pretty good offense even without Carlos Lee. We just have to win our ballgames and it will all work it self out.
  5. So if the Brewers played a day game it would be October 1 or 2?
  6. Great post JJHardy7. Sure his defense is not all that good, but working very hard on it at Huntsville with Don Money he improved quite a bit. And I wouldn't start him against LHP but I would give him a few against RHP just to see how ready his bat really is.
  7. If this is true it's great news. Especially since Charter just added FSN-HD and we are only getting like 12 games in HD.
  8. I would hate to have him rushed back, but if he is already throwing simulated games he must be feeling pretty good. I sure wouldn't want to see him start another game this season. But if the trainers really feel he is fine and could pitch and not do damage to the knee and Yost/Melvin approve man Gallardo could be a filthy 8th inning guy setting up Torres.
  9. Figured it wouldn't get changed. Don't matter, all the emotion and everything that would have made it special was taken away by that idiot scorer.
  10. I have never been so disgusted sitting in my cubicle. Just a true stinker of a ball game.
  11. I don't think I would use anything but Firefox ever again.
  12. I would love to see Gamel get some starts against RHP. Then late in the game you pull him and put Counsell in for defense. We need to get some offense from our 3B spot and Hall nor Counsell have really supplied it. Why not give Gamel a few games and see what he can do against big league pitching.
  13. I have an extra regular JJ bobble. Looking to get a regular Hart bobble straight up for it. Can't make it to the game. Let me know, thanks.
  14. Bush has been darn good for awhile now. I have a feeling he will keep that up today. Lets get one here before the Padres come in town.
  15. I'm pretty relaxed. But I am for sure a little nervous. After your team has not been to the playoffs in 26 years you do have the worst somewhere in the back of your mind. Hopefully Bush can come out today pitch a gem the Brewers score some runs for him and we get one in this series before 7 game in a row against losing clubs at home. All should be okay.
  16. The sad thing about Gagne/Mota/Riske is they seem to be all or nothing pitchers. When they are on they look filthy and un hittable. But when they are off, they get lit up in a hurry. It is scary going down the stretch here.
  17. I am very interested after this awful season to see how much a team will pay Gagne next year? It can't even be close to 10 mill can it?
  18. Yeah, I did mean run. Don't know why I typed hit. I to think Riskie is some to blame today. Heck he can be to blame for the Cardinals loss as well. He has been shaky as of late.
  19. Phills lost and Cubs and Cards both losing. Thank God.
  20. Maybe they will make one as some sort of giveaway at Sentry's before the season ends. That would be cool, even if its a mini. Otherwise I say he gets one if he does get the no-no, wins the cy young or mvp or the Brewers win the NL or the WS.
  21. I really hope we don't see Gwynn used before any of our other left handed bats on the bench ever again this season. He should only see the field as a pinch runner.
  22. Sounds good to me Robin. I to will be at the game on the 10th so seeing CC throw is "2nd" no-hitter and first at home would be nice.
  23. I'm hoping since some of the young guys are up (Gamel, Escobar and Salome) that they will sign before games in the players lot.
  24. So with all these better left handed bat options on the bench now, Yost goes with Gywnn in that spot? Over Gamel, Nelson, Escobar, Durham, Counsell and Nix? Wow, that was just stupid. The only thing Gwynn should do this September is pinch run late in a game.
  25. Good point bullox. I probably won't send anything now. But man when I first read that this morning I was fuming. Wanted to give him a piece of my mind. Calling Villanueva a "journeyman" shows how little Bernie knows about the game.
