My personal favorites: 1. Braun 2. Sheets 3. Sabathia 4. Gagne 5. Hall/Branyan (not just because they make up our 3B position but because I can't chose one over the other) Personal least favorites: 1. Weeks 2. Mota 3. Cameron 4. Suppan 5. Weeks (again)
I'm not concerned about Ben. Yes he has not pitched like Ben Sheets but besides that Cubs game he hasn't gotten rocked. Also it's not as if he has gotten hit so bad that he has not made it through the 5th or anything. Plus maybe these average starts are taking his price down in free agency so we can resign him.
I want Rivera to play at least once or twice per week. And mainly just because it is now the very hot part of summer and Yost is going to wear him down way to much for September. I almost think him sitting day game after night game should be concrete now. But I have a feeling it won't happen.
This does feel like Boston series part 2. But I'm still holding out hope for tomorrow. And if not, I feel good about playing ATL. They are basically a AAA team now.
Please Ned, give Corey a day off tomorrow. He just needs a "mental" day off. Put Kapler in and you better have Branyan at 3B against Harden. Heck, maybe JK needs a day off to, Rivera hits well when he gets a chance.
If we do lose tonight (looks like it) and even lose tomorrow. I still like our chances of getting at least 2 of 3 from ATL. I don't know why but I think we will be okay, just think the team wet their pants in this series by pressing and getting to pumped up. The pitching besides Sheets last night has not been to bad, it has been the D and lack of hitting that has been awful.
