The retro Braun is no longer available. But Turnbow is still in play and I'm still looking for any one of these bobbles for it: Bob Uecker 2001 SGA or Pepsi Don Money 2002 Beloit SGA Ben Sheets 2002 All-Star Futures Bob Uecker 2004 Indianapolis Indians Hank Aaron 2002 SGA
I missed the game because of softball. Seen the highlights and read about it. Sounds like the age of McClung rolls on! Being at such a low after that Boston series to being on such a high right now sure feels nice. The big bear (Prince) has awaken from hibernation and no pitcher is safe.
Russell and Wickett were talking about this on I believe Monday morning on 1250. They were both for getting Sabathia for a Gamel or LaPorta. I almost called in to argue for not making the deal but I had to go into work. I just don't think it is worth trading either one of those guys for a rental pitcher. Especially when one of them may play at 1B if Fielder does leave at some point.
That was a great blog. First off, had no idea he grew up a Cubs fan. Matt in time you will learn to hate them. Also didn't know he was twice drafted in the 14th round Cubs coming out of high school and then after his Junior year at Florida by the Red Sox.
Just an FYI I still also have a 2006 SGA Retro Uni Derrick Turnbow still for trade as well. Just like the Braun would trade straight up for any of the bobbles listed above that I need.
I like Bill Hall, so if we keep him that is fine. But if we trade him, I'm okay with a Branyan/Dillon platoon for the rest of this year till Gamel is ready probably next season. If Hall packaged with a prospect not named Gamel or LaPorta can bring you a #2 or #3 type starter I say go for it.
I'm inclined to agree Rluz. As much as I would rather win the NL Central, I don't care how we get into the playoffs as long as we do. So if its wild card that is fine by me.
I just went and checked the Cubs score and was about to post that. Would be very nice to wake up tomorrow morning and be only 6 back. Actually gain some ground.
