  1. Braun/Fielder/Weeks/Hart/McGehee: not many teams have 5 hitters of that caliber. Greinke/Gallardo/Marcum: not many teams have a top 3 in their rotation that good. No Ken Macha, add Ron Roenicke.
  2. A cheesy, but very heart felt episode of The Office. Liked the end scene especially with the rain coming down from the sprinklers as Michael tells them he and Holly are leaving. The group looked pretty sad. Also liked how Kevin asked if they were all leaving. Haha. From what I read Will Ferrell will serve as an interim boss these last four episodes of season 7 and then Will Arnett may take over full time in season 8.
  3. I think Kotsay and Dickerson are locks. Boggs will make it if Hart starts on DL which seems likely. Counsell and Cruz seem to be locks as back IF to me.
  4. I hope Gamel has turned in his 3B glove for good. Give him a 1B glove and an OF glove and let him get comfortable at one or both of those spots.
  5. Very impressed with the Money bobblehead. Looks very cool with him leaning over the dugout fence.
  6. Yeah it seems more and more clear everyday that Mat can't play 3B, just move him to 1B/OF already. It is a waste of time to keep playing him at 3B. I would love to keep Gamel around because I think he could be valuable for this team next season when Prince is gone, but if he does have some trade value we could use some rotation depth so I would not be to upset if they pulled the trigger on a trade.
  7. At least this game won't be joined in progress because of a Bucks game/post game show. Are Anderson and Rock on the call? Anyone know what other pitchers are set to hurl today?
  8. Was hoping Peralta could seize the day and get that 5th spot. Not even close, more work to do. Hopefully he can have a good season at Huntsville and maybe get to Nashville by seasons end. I would love if we could get Wakefield, could start till Greinke comes back and then slide into long relief in the pen. If they don't get him I expect it is now either Dillard or Estrada.
  9. Nice! I think they look great. I agree that the Greinke looks very similar to the 2005 Ben Sheets. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  10. I like Dan Plesac, think of all the players they have as analyst on MLB Network he is one of the best. Mitch Williams on the other hand.....
  11. This would be awesome. And I for some reason think he might be able to do it.
  12. Fee so bad for Schafer. He was playing very well this spring and was impressing the staff quite a bit. Hopefully he can get back from this thumb injury and stay healthy the rest of 2011 and give himself a chance to make the team in 2012.
  13. Roenicke commented on Schafer today after the game saying how well he has been on defense and also looked good in the batters box. He seems really impressed with the little he has seen of Logan this spring.
  14. Ryan had this issue at the start of 2009 and then went on to have an outstanding season, almost as good as his rookie year. Maybe I am to much of an optimist, I just don't think this will be a huge deal. It stinks, but everything should be okay.
  15. Listening to the game today and hearing the crack of Branyan's bat makes me miss him even more. Could have had him, anyone could have had him. Lucky Diamondbacks.
  16. My hope is it is minor and this was a precautionary move more than anything. He has dealt with this in the past so I feel that they will have him take it easy for awhile and he will still be ready for opening day.
  17. I think Almonte is going to make the club. Boggs does have a shot as well. I think Kottaras has locked down the backup catchers spot. Only way Nieves makes the team is if Lucroy has to start year on DL.
  18. Co-sign. Looking at how we have, it seems pretty darn good. Axford, Saito, Loe, Braddock, Hawkins, Parra and Green seem to be a pretty good group of 7. Also have guys that could come up from AAA like McClendon, Kintzler, Stetter, etc if an injury or someone is not effective.
  19. Really hope Rogers progresses and get get his arm built up and can get that #5 spot.
  20. Comparing the 2011 Brewers to the 2010 Mariners is ridiculous. Rosenthal is an idiot. Yes both have hyped pitching staffs, but the Brewers offense is way, way better than the Mariners was. It is not even close. This Brewers offense has 5 potential All-Star caliber players. That Mariners team had zero. Nuff said.
  21. Really stinks, but not the end of the world. Just give him the time he needs to feel pain free and 100%. Hope that Rogers or Rivas can seize this opportunity and be the 5th guy until Zack comes back.
  22. I am actually looking forward to listening to 1250 this season now that McCalvy is on board as an insider.
  23. I think Provus is very solid. I like his voice, delivery and he seems pretty smart. I think he will only get better as the years go on. He is no Jim Powell, but Powell was on another level. Like the way Provus and Uecker work together.
  24. I am in favor of buying our arbitration years and maybe 1 free agent season. I guess it all depends on the total value of the contract. I just wonder what the rush might be on the Brewers side.
