  1. Bill James projection for Pavano in 2011: 12-11, 4.16 ERA, 199 IP, 5.47 K/9, 1.81 BB/9, 1.31 WHIP. Those number would not be bad at all. But what will Pavano do in year 2 and 3 of this possible contract? That is my big concern.
  2. The last game Ned Yost managed as a Brewer?
  3. Yup, he is my go to weather guy. I trust him more than some of the guys on Milwaukee TV.
  4. I think Garza would cost Jeffress or Rogers plus. But I do not think we would have to give up Odorizzi, nor would I give up Jake in a deal for Garza.
  5. If Doug Melvin is serious about making our starting pitching better, he will pass on Pavano and make a Garza deal work somehow. I covet prospects as much as the next guy, but to get a guy like Garza for 3 years to add with Gallardo and Marcum would be huge.
  6. Thanks obsessed, let us know when you know more.
  7. If they sign Pavano for 3 years $30 mill, that would be an ultimate face palm. When will you learn Doug Melvin! A could buy a 2 year deal, but that is not happening. To me Pavano is a step up from Suppan, but not better than Wolf. I could be wrong if it happens, but this could be an ugly mistake. Consider the Twins park and defense. He won't have that with the Brewers. He is 35 years old. Nuff said. Melvin made a great move by trading for Marcum and now he might go and do something like this. Shame.
  8. obsessedwithbrewcrew, what do you know about this snow coming Saturday? I know we are getting a quick 1"-3" on Thursday afternoon/night but then more on Saturday.
  9. Thanks to Mass Hass for the links to the audio. What time does WSSP's Hot Stove Weekly air on Monday's nights?
  10. I like this idea as well. But it will depend on if Cain can produce a good enough OBP to bat lead-off.
  11. This would be fantastic. To have a rotation of Gallardo, Marcum, Garza, Wolf and Narveson would be pretty sweet. Those pitchers and our offense, we could win the Central.
  12. Awesome. Hopefully sooner than later. The longer we go without, the less chance I think it gets done.
  13. I normally really like MLB Network, but to say that this deal is good and works is just ridiculous. The Brewers have Axford who is coming off a fantastic rookie season and is cheap. Broxton is coming off a down year, will make a lot and is only under control for 1 more year.
  14. Good God, Harold Reynolds who I normally like, said about this potential deal that "the Brewers need a closer." Hey idiot, they have John Axford! I would be royally ticked if the Brewers took Loney and Broxton for Fielder. I would rather keep Prince and collect the draft picks. If Billingsley got involved I would be a little intrigued.
  15. Carl Crawford can ask for at least 8 years now.
  16. It is nice and I always prefer guys who have plus fastballs, but it doesn't matter how hard you throw. You have to locate and have good movement. By all accounts Marcum has both of those things going for him.
  17. This trade has me even more excited to watch MLB Network Hot Stove tomorrow night.
  18. dlk9s, that gif is amazing, I laugh every time I watch it. Good for Werth, bad for the Nationals.
  19. I would not have been happy with this. Glad it is JUST Lawrie.
  20. I do like Marcum. Glad we got him. I can only hope that if Melvin was willing to deal Lawrie, he knows he can re-sign Rickie Weeks.
  21. I would want Drabek or Morrow, but that is probably a pipe dream.
  22. Lawrie's numbers for a 20 year old in AA are quite impressive. He has the chance to be an elite bat in the big league's.
  23. That was another thought of mine. Might not actually be Ryan updating it, but someone doing it for him. It does seem very legit, but lots of not legit stuff on facebook of course.
  24. Link Anyone know if this is really Ryan? Been wondering for awhile now. I think it is, because it is updated only occasionally and usually about stuff personal to Braun on a professional level. Baseball, charity stuff, business stuff and sponsor stuff.
  25. I think the show started to turn during episode 3 or 4 of season 1. Since then it has been gold. The Pilot was a bit rough, but it gradually got better and then exploded in season 2.
