  1. I have always dreamed about having a urinal. Prince is a lucky man.
  2. Listening to "Hot Stove Weekly" on WSSP a few weeks ago I heard them mention that Fielder was or was going to be on Cribs. Did anyone see this? I looked on Google and could not find any video of it.
  3. If Saito wears #40 and pitches to his career numbers he can wash away the memories of Macha.
  4. That "Milwaukee" script is awesome. Loved that on those road jersey's in the late 80's and early 90's. I to would love to find this in that cream or a gray color.
  5. I think Rogers and Rivas are two viable options for spot starts and if there is an injury.
  6. Great veteran bullpen arm on a 1 year deal. Love this signing. Just have to watch his innings. I think this pretty much leaves 1 bullpen spot open for a spring training battle. Barring injury the pen locks seem to be: Axford, Braddock, Loe, Saito, Parra and Hawkins.
  7. Kind of figured this would happen, but still kind of stinks. I wish Cappy all the best where ever he goes. Unless of course he goes to the Cardinals or Cubs.
  8. I am very jealous. Would love to have one of those. What a score to find that in your basement.
  9. It's very enjoyable in moderation, but I don't think I could drink more than a single bottle of it. The sweetness can be quite cloying, and so can the spice flavors (clove, nutmeg), but it was pretty good with a slice of pumpkin pie last night. The strength is surprising though, as the sweetness hides the 10% alcohol.I really enjoyed it. It was quite sweet, but it went down so smooth, hardly tasted like a higher alcohol content beer. I had 3 of them on Christmas eve and that was plenty. I don't think I could have more than that at one time, but I would recommend it to anyone. Very tasty.
  10. I bought some of Lakefront Brewery's Holiday Spice Lager to take to my wife's side of the family tonight. Has anyone had it? This is the only beer of theirs I have never had. I'm guessing it is going to be quite tasty. I also am bringing some Capital Brewery Winter Skal, I have had that before and really enjoy it.
  11. Yeah I think the jump from AA to the bigs was very hard. And with how much he was focusing on the defense and working with the pitching it seems to be his offensive took a back seat. Hopefully this season he can balance them out.
  12. I think he will be solid on defense again especially with throwing runners out. Hopefully get a little better at blocking balls. I think his offense will improve. He said he was pretty disappointed with his hitting and knows he is a better hitter than he showed in his rookie season. I don't think he will ever be a top offensive catcher, but should be above replacement level.
  13. Not going to lie, I would be all about a Rob Deer bobblehead. I am pretty sure I am the only UW-Madison alumna to ever display a Rob Deer growth chart on a dorm room wall for the 1987-1988 school year. (It's a near certainty that it was the only Rob Deer growth chart ever displayed in that dorm, as it was all-women at the time.)That is awesome! I wish I had a Rob Deer growth chart right now. I think a Deer bobble would be pretty fantastic.
  14. I still laugh every year on this day. One of the best Seinfeld episodes ever. And there are a lot of great ones.
  15. C: Lucroy, Nieves IF: Fielder, Weeks, Betancourt, McGehee, Counsell, Cruz OF: Braun, Gomez, Hart, Dickerson, Boggs SP: Greinke, Gallardo, Marcum, Wolf, Narveson Pen: Axford, Braddock, Loe, Parra, Hawkins, Green, Egan Gamel starts in AAA to continue to get full PT. If a starting corner IF or corner OF gets hurt he gets the call and starts. If we need to bring a starter up for a spot start or injury we go with Rogers or Rivas. Bullpen arms ready in case of injury or ineffectiveness are McClendon, Kintzler and Merklinger.

  17. I seen the headline knew it was the other Ryan Braun, clicked anyway just to be 100% sure.
  18. I think the Rockies might be that that group with the Giants, Cards, Reds and Brewers.
  19. After seeing video of the presser from yesterday, I did not know how laid back, funny and how big of a dry sense of humor Zack had. I loved it. He seems very quirky, much like Sheets was. I have a feeling Zack is going to be a great quote for the next 2 seasons.
  20. After Greinke, Gallardo and McGehee I would now like to change my vote for the fourth bobblehead to be either Counsell or Axford. While I think a classic player would be cool, I think Counsell has earned one with his service to the team and he is a home town guy.
  21. I believe Gallardo, Greinke and McGehee are locks. I'd like to see the fourth bobble be a classic player. Maybe Cirillo, Vaughn or Deer.
  22. I want this to be true, but if it is not, I would not be totally upset about getting to keep Odorizzi, Jeffress, Cain and Escobar.
  23. Can Scooter Gennett play SS? Maybe he can be our SS of the future now.
  24. It does hurt to trade away all these prospects, but I give Doug Melvin a TON of credit. This team already has a fantastic offense and needed pitching bad. He went out got Marcum and now possibly Greinke. Talk about an upgrade. Major props to Doug Melvin. He is not messing around.
