  1. Wolf at almost 30 pitches in the 1st. Looks like we may see Scarpetta today.
  2. Wow, I guess it is the ump show at Miller Park today. These guys are so terrible it is pathetic.
  3. All these extra pitches because the umpire doesn't know what a strike is. When will the robots just take over!
  4. Really like him. He was a regular on the D-List back in the day and still comes on their show sometimes. His insight and analysis has been great, way better than Schroeder's, but as others have said he needs to work on his volume and delivery. Once he gets those down he would be a fantastic analyst.
  5. I was not a fan of the Motre Bame hat, but I really loved the M. I wasn't that young when they came out, I was a sophomore in high school so I would say I grew up with the ball n glove logo.
  6. Willis hasn't been good in years. Hope the Brewers don't make him look like the Willis of old. This lineup does not get me pumped. Hope they prove me wrong.
  7. hawing, I am glad you mentioned that they sell the Bears hats around the time of the Negro League game. I called the store today and they said they have them for $30. I am thinking about getting one, really like that cap. Sad thing is I was at the game last night but never bothered to check out the team store since I was there last week Saturday doing the Miller Park tour and I did not see them in the store that day so I figured they never sold them.
  8. I think Mike McClendon might have been the only other real option. DiFelice is on the DL and Dillard as we all seen, can't get a LHB out.
  9. Nice! Glad that Gamel can go back down to get regular AB's as well as continue to play 1B. As for Scarpetta, looking forward to finally having another guy out of the pen other than Axford that can bring the heat.
  10. I was the one last year that posted a topic about that hat as I to love the logo. I searched long and hard for it. I have a big noggin, wear a 7 3/8 or 7 1/2 and all those ones on ebay are way to small. I finally came across the website www.myfitteds.com and that is where I finally found a 7 1/2. I just checked out the site again and they still have the hat but only in a size 8 left.
  11. They should probably option Gamel back down to AAA to call up a pitcher. Then DFA Counsell to call up Taylor Green.
  12. "he hit the pole! he hit the pole!"That was classic. I totally remember that game and that call. It was great.
  13. I got Casey McGehee and Mat Gamel to sign my ticket stub at last nights game in silver sharpie. I was in the first row on the 1B line by where the guys stretch and they came over to sign. It was pretty cool.
  14. So they fire Doug Russell, then hire Bill Michaels and axe the only good syndicated show they air in Jim Rome. 1250 is sure making some idiotic decisions. Only thing I will listen to on the station now is the Brewers post game show with Tim Allen and Sparky.
  15. Of course hindsight is 20/20 but right now, Greinke has not been worth giving up the 4 players we did. I know hiw K/BB ratio has been great but he gets hit hard in just about all of his starts and he seems to have major issues pitching out of the stretch. Runners got on against him and he becomes Manny Parra. It is very hard to watch. His body language has been terrible as well, doesn't look to me like he cares much when he is out on the mound. Why Zack walked Thome today on 4 straight pitches with 2 ours and a 6-1 lead is inexcusable. Before the Yankees blowup I was still trying to make excuses for him but I can't anymore. He has been very disappointing. Not even close to the pitcher I thought we were getting. Rally hope he turns it around and soon.
  16. I don't know about Roenicke, but I know that is what I was hoping for. As for Gamel, I assume since RHP are on the mound today and Sunday that he will play for 1B or DH in both of those games before going back to Nashville.
  17. I would be 100% fine with Boggs coming up. Big fan of his. I just like the thought of Green because McGehee has been so bad, and I do not think playing Counsell or Wilson there more is the answer. Sad thing is Casey was so good the past two seasons and seems like a really good guy, but he can't keep getting PT. He is killing the Brewers right now.
  18. So when you send a ball you essentially have to send two boxes?
  19. In my dream world Saito is activated, Kotsay is DFA's and then Gamel is sent down Monday when Green is called up to platoon at 3B with McGehee.
  20. I honestly wonder how much longer they can bat McGehee 5th. At some point you have to pull the plug and move him to 6 or 7.
  21. Did not expect that to happen this season. Crazy.
  22. Haha, yeah I think they are just saving them from other wimpy light beers like Bud. On a personal note, I hate Miller Lite. I don't like many light or domestic beers in general, I am a big micro and import guy. But Lite seems to give me a headache every time I have it. I could drink 2 Miller Lite's and I get one. It is weird.
