  1. I was exchanging emails last night with Jonah Keri. He told me that while Tampa is somewhat looking to scale back payroll next season, they could really use Fielder and might make a move to truly "go for it" this season. His bat in their lineup would really put them over the top. While they would not part with Hellickson or Jennings, he thinks that they would part with either Wade Davis or Jeff Niemann for Fielder. I think I would trade Prince for one of those two and maybe another lower level prospect? Thoughts?
  2. If they want Edmonds in the lineup, have him play 1B and give Prince a day at DH. Leave Gomez in CF Kenny, come on.
  3. I'm hoping he goes out there tonight and gets shelled. But I have this sick feeling in my stomach that he will come out and be good. At least for his 1st start or two.
  4. Perhaps Braun just needed some home cookin on the west coast to get out of his slump. Nice.
  5. Man, this game is off to a rather pathetic start on offense for the Brewers. Yikes.
  6. Old school! I remember that night. Sheets was amazing. And yes, I am hungry for cheese sandwiches.
  7. Not surprised Macha did not come out. He has never seemed to be one to back up his players. Probably the only thing I really can't stand about him.
  8. Judging by the way the first couple times went, I wouldn't count on Lucroy catching Wolf again, even if Lucroy somehow becomes the starting catcher.True, I still think it was poppycock how Wolf treated Lucroy in those starts.
  9. Glad to hear you will be representing out on the west coast for all us Brewers fans. Which Augie jersey do you have? Home white or powder blue?
  10. I'm with cdiddy34, if Hart is traded I want to see Lorenzo Cain in RF and some CF when Gomez is not in the lineup.
  11. I think they should make a lot of moves with veterans on this team that have no future here. And I would trade Prince if the right deal comes along, otherwise wait till the offseason. Hart should be a sell high candidate with his power surge. I have said it before but I would trade anyone on the team EXCEPT the following: Braun, Gallardo, Weeks, Escobar, McGehee, Lucroy, Gomez, Axford, Braddock and Parra. Anybody else I would deal. And I hope they do deal a bunch of the vets.
  12. Well, that's it for me. Got errands to run. A 3-3 home stand is not good, but it's not terrible.
  13. I think so, especially if he stays healthy and plays a few more years and gets 500 HR. He was a great defender early in his career as well so I think he gets in.
  14. I would be very happy with Lucroy catching 3 of every 5 games. He is better on defense then Kottaras and probably a better hitter. Not as much power, but just a better hitter.
  15. Well said, it is going to be very interesting what they do with Davis when he returns. Or even Capuano for that matter. I don't think you can move Parra or Narveson to the pen, they are pitching well right now and are young and part of the future. Honestly Wolf is pitching the worst but there is no way he comes out. I also think Bush has pitched okay and he is your only other RHP so you can't really pull him. Also Coffey and Hawkins should be back soon. That should also be interesting at what roster moves are made for them.
  16. Well said, I would rather pitch to the 8th batter and hope he gets himself out. Especially if the 8th batter is has a low BA. That hit by Lewis no looms even larger with Prince hitting that bomb. Could be tied at 2-2. Damn.
  17. Frustrating. Kottaras had a low average for awhile but at least he was taking walks and hitting HR's. Not doing either now.
