Yes and no. If Tobias is on the roster and starting today, we wouldn’t have had a mop up guy in the bullpen yesterday, and we probably waste two more relievers. Rodriguez wasn’t good yesterday, but he did keep Koenig, Mears, Uribe, Ashby, and Miller from having to enter the game. Myers might be a better pitcher than Patrick right now, but Patrick hasn’t exactly been Ben Hendrickson out there this year. Plus we needed to have a mop up guy available for the Mis game against the Cubs. Hindsight is 20/20, but a 7-1 loss counts the same as a 3-1 loss, so maybe have CRod here yesterday was a blessing in disguise. -
Crummy game for sure, but in a run of this many games in a row, I’d prefer this kind of loss over a 2-1 loss where we waste the bullpen. I dont feel all that confident about facing Robbie Ray tomorrow, but we should have a relatively available bullpen.

I just saw that Blake Perkins was added to the bereavement list.

Eduardo Garcia fouled the ball off his foot in his first at bat. The trainer came out and he was limping a bit even after the trainer left. I was fairly surprised he stayed in.
