  1. yep, absurd. I paid 30 bucks for a case for my new one, which amounts to two pieces of rubber and a piece of plastic. a small price to pay though since dropping it on the ground unprotected could be disaster
  2. The Bucks have made it past the first round of the playoffs once in the last 18 years.
  3. I was gonna say Philadelphia too. For sure. They haven't won anything in ages and they've got all four major sports.
  4. Yeah, I guess I missed that part. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to turn it on. That's odd. I've got a new 80GB full of songs and I'm going to be putting about 10GB of songs on my old 40GB player within the next few days.
  5. That happened to me once and it turned out that the cord had gone bad. Find somebody with a cord or if you're in the Mke area go to the Apple Store and have them plug it in. They actually gave me a new cord and I didn't have a receipt or anything.
  6. If there are too many songs on iTunes it'll just fill your iPod as full as it can. That's if you have it set to automatically sync. You can change the settings to do it other ways, like manual, where you drag and drop each song. Or so that it only grabs the songs from a certain playlist. Your best bet I think as far as loading different stuff at different times is to make up a bunch of different playlists.
  7. Good luck getting some sleep tonight.

  9. I went today. I wasn't really planning to after I slept until 1PM but I figured it was worth a shot. I got there around 2:25 and was around 115th in line for session one (Hardy, Braun, Weeks, Torres). It was very well organized and kept orderly by the team employees. According to one, the first person got in line at 8:45AM. The session one line was cut off at 3:00PM. Autograph tickets were handed out around 5. Everyone had to wait in line in the concourse but the signing was held in the usual place in the Fan Zone. I'm not sure if the session two (Hart, Gallardo, Riske) tickets were all given out by 5 but if they weren't I'm sure they were taken by the people at the front of the session one line after they got their autographs. I'm pretty sure you could have gotten there around 5PM and still gotten a session two ticket. I got Hardy & Braun on 8x10s, Weeks on a bobblehead, and Torres on a mini helmet.
  10. Did somebody post this already? "Autograph Sessions As a part of Winter Warm-Up, a pair of autograph sessions will be held on Monday, January 14 at the Miller Park Brewers Fan Zone Store and will feature several Brewers stars. The autograph sessions are free and the first 150 fans at each session will receive a wristband granting them access to an autograph from the participating players. The autograph schedule is posted below and is subject to change. 5:00 - 6:00 Ryan Braun J.J. Hardy Salomon Torres Rickie Weeks 6:00 - 7:00 Yovani Gallardo Corey Hart David Riske"
  11. I might go. I've got the day off tomorrow.
  12. I listen at work so the expense for several hours a day so the expense is definitely justified for me. I only have a three mile one way commute so yeah, I don't use it whole lot in the car either. And I'm also a big fan of Cross Country, channel 12.
  13. Right, you can run it right through your car stereo. And since you're way up nort der hey you should have no problem finding an unused frequency to use. Another relatively inexpensive option is to buy an inexpensive car stereo that has an auxiliary jack on it. That way you will be assured that whatever's on the FM frequency you're using won't bleed over. I'm not familiar with the Nexus but I have a MyFi and it has an antenna with a long cord that you plug in. If you have a window in the basement you might be OK but otherwise you may be out of luck. Maybe somebody with newer hardware can provide a better answer. I haven't been keeping up with the new radios. Although I'm going to buying one soon since the display on my MyFi crapped out. And yes, to me it's worth the money. Customer service is overseas and sketchy but you shouldn't really need it once you're done signing up and picking your payment option.
  14. The point where people will die because there's no fresh water and they can't afford to pay the hoarders of it?
  15. Whatever price it is they go for, the bottom line is that the business model needs to change IMO. Why not auction the first 10-20 rows to the highest bidder right off the bat? Sell the tickets for what they're worth in the first place. The brokers aren't completely to blame. The secondary market's gonna keep chugging along with or without those programs you're talking about or even with or without the professional brokers themselves. With eBay and Craigs List and whatever, the minute tickets go on sale you've got everyone across the country trying to score tickets. Fans are going to shut out of the good tickets regardless. I say either go with the auction idea or you're going to have to make every ticket a will call ticket only available with ID of the person who bought the ticket at the door and on the day of the show.
  16. It would probably be a money losing practice too. They're only buying big blocks of tickets for concerts where the market price for most seats is anticipated to be a lot higher than the original price. So one could argue that if the first ten rows or whatever of a big concert go for 500 bucks a ticket on the secondary market, it's the fault of the original sellers for not setting the tickets closer to market price.
  17. My parents wouldn't even buy me an Atari 2600 for Christmas or my birthday no matter how much I begged. I don't feel sorry for any kid that ain't finding a Wii under the tree.
  18. But come on, he does Bill Clinton. It's so fresh.
  19. I'll post some pictures also. I seem to have lost my digital camera though. Plus I have nothing displayed since we're selling our house. But I'll try to find the camera and post some stuff later today.
  20. Cool game. I couldn't get past 36 either.
  21. 1979 me called. He may be able to squeeze into an adult size S t shirt.
  22. You'd think that we've all had the internet long enough that people would stop believing everything they read and then e-mailing it to their whole address book. Somebody forwarded this to me today (the supposed coupon not the Snopes debunking) and I got all angry. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/nothing/blockbuster.asp
