The autographs by mail thread got me wondering if anyone collect any other types of autographs? I've got a pretty huge collection of NASCAR autographs, a lot which I've gotten through the mail. All you have to do is send out a 9x12 SASE and request a "hero card." Obviously you've got a better shot with lower tier stars than you do with someone like Gordon or Earnhardt. I've had about an 80% success rate. I've also been collecting autographed photos of the Governors. This is really easy to do. All you have to do is fill out the form on their website and request one. I think every one I've gotten so far is preprinted or autopenned but it's still fun and sometimes you'll get some extra stuff. And if you want TV/Movie celebrities, I'd suggest checking out www.fanmail.biz You can get a pretty good idea of who signs through the mail and what you're going to get. I sent out about 30 requests last month and have gotten 5 back already.

Literally, a couple of bucks. I'm not an autograph expert but it seems to me that people are wise to the fact that eBay is a dumping ground for fake garbage and it's driven the prices way down.

Yep, it's on "The Living End" which was recorded on their last tour I think. "Ain't No Water in the Well" was another new one on there. And they do "Sheena is a Punk Rocker" too. That's great stuff. I think I heard a song by them kicking off Ron & Fez a couple weeks ago. The 2 disc box has all of "Forever Changes" and selected tracks from the s/t & "De Capo."
