  1. Right, it's pretty easy to be inconspicuous. If you eye up the situation around the time the game is starting it's pretty easy to move down to where it's apparent that nobody will be sitting in a particular seat, yet close enough to other occupied seats that you blend in. Not so much in the Club Level since you have to show your ticket indicating you belong up there at the Club Level entrance. I haven't had to show my ticket even once in the seating area the last several times I've gone.
  2. That song that's playing? "To Win Just Once" by the Saw Doctors
  3. Miller Park vendor's plea to Milwaukee Brewers fans: Beer here, and nowhere else http://www.jsonline.com/story/news/local/milwaukee/2017/06/07/vendor/365685001/ Milwaukee Brewers fans attending games at Miller Park should get their beer from vendors in the seats — and only there, argues longtime brew purveyor Ryan Strnad... "We're past the point where we are thinking 'enough is enough,' " said Strnad who works in left field loge sections. "Sales in the concourses are hurting our sales..." Strnad said he plans to challenge the beer license for Sportservice, the company that employs him, when it comes up at City Hall in September. He wants an end of beer sales in the concourses — with the exception of the TGI Fridays restaurant — to be a condition of the license renewal...
  4. I drove the Great River Road last year and stayed at the Charmant Hotel in La Crosse. Really nice place. Check it out http://www.thecharmanthotel.com/
  5. Yes. I decided I'll still have a few beers in the park because I really enjoy drinking beer. But the food is really not good. My friend got the braised beef tacos last night & there was like a half inch of liquid on the bottom. I had the chicken nachos and they were OK. The 25% SSH discount made it a bit easier to stomach. A couple weeks ago I got a hot dog and it looked like it was cooked on one side and it was cold and the bun was horrible. I don't mind paying higher prices for even slightly above average food but the chances of getting something borderline inedible doesn't make it worth it.
  6. You'd probably have to find a private boarder. Try rover.com. A regular kennel isn't going to work because you'll have to do an overnight. Same with a doggy daycare plus a doggy daycare won't take a first time dog anyway that hasn't been there before for a behavioral evaluation.
  7. $8.75 for a large draft macrobrew. Hot dogs are $5.50 and brats are $5.75. Polish was $7 I believe. I had two hot dogs on Friday and although they weren't exactly warm they're of a better quality this year. But as I've said before grab any sausage off any random grill in the parking lot and it's always going to taste better than what you get inside at six times the price.
  8. So for your run of the mill macrobrew you're going to pay $7 for a regular tap, $8.75 for a large tap and $8 for an aluminum pint can from the Iceman & his friends. I can't remember what it was last year but I think it's up a bit. Whatever. It's when they're charging $9.50 for crap like a mushy cup of mac & cheese with a little bit of topping on it that things starts to get ridiculous.
  9. The $10 voucher everyone got caused every concession line to be consistently 30+ people deep from the beginning of the game to the end. The voucher was supposed to be good only today and tomorrow but they announced it would be honored at any home game this season. Probably since they knew some people weren't going to stand in line for 3 innings to get food and drink. And yeah while the whole thing is a definite upgrade I'm not seeing $20 million worth.
  10. The only way this thread could be more epic would be if this guy weighed in on the subject http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae282/gypcasino99/39537b0f-ca59-4db3-a646-86d1178b82a6_zps9wrprbv2.png
  11. This helps to ease the pain a bit. 25% off food & beverage & merchandise for season seat holders at 25 games. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/downloads/y2017/MB-17_SSH_AppreciationDays.pdf
  12. I'm going to the game against the White Sox tomorrow night. I'll report back with my findings as far as the rest of the prices go.
  13. I think I've finally reached my breaking point with the beer prices http://milwaukeerecord.com/food-drink/take-a-look-at-miller-parks-new-local-brews-bar/
  14. I'm not going to whine and complain. I'm already over it. But can fans of team that hasn't won an NCAA championship in 75 years really be spoiled?
  15. Here are all the local beers they're going to have https://mobile.onmilwaukee.com/sports/articles/miller-park-local-brews-draft-list
  16. Nope. Sure fans came early and camped out. Yet the team did not hype the event by providing t-shirts, coffee, hot dogs, donuts, soda, and Brewers alumni appearances. The MJS cited the Brewers concerns for fan safety in the cold weather and a focus on online sales as the reason for the change. I had read a fox6now story and they still called it the "Arctic Tailgate" so I assumed it was the same. Just read the jsonline piece and yeah they pretty much killed the event. Also noticed today all the Opening Day tickets for sale at brewers.com, so yeah, not even an illusion of scarcity this year. Should have figured since like Corey, I and everyone else I know who were in the lottery drawing all got picked.

  19. FWIW, I checked the AMI Bar Link app on my phone and that's who SOB's has a jukebox with. A song search indicated that yes, "Go Cubs Go" is available to be played.
