  1. The difference between Potawatomi commercial portrayal and Potawatomi reality is astounding.
  2. Hit Ueck up for a photo or an autograph next time you see him in public. Chances are good that you probably won't feel as bad for him after that experience.
  3. Block: "The only thing I can think of is maybe Wily uh missed a sign to take the bunt off...maybe that....happened" Uecker: "But runners are going with Wily Peralta?" Block: "I don't I don't I..it's uh unorthodox" Uecker: "Well...it didn't turn out that time"
  4. Nothing out of the ordinary in my Opening Day experience. I had seats in 423 and there was nothing remotely close to any rowdiness around me. Tailgated with a group in the Uecker lot. As far as the bathrooms, my friend brings a homemade toilet. Lines for the 3 porta potties by us were consistently 50 people deep for 3 hours.
  5. I did it last year a few times, the last time being I had friends on the club level and I wanted to join them. I believe it was less than $10. Like you said all you need is a cheap primary ticket to get in. That's when it's worth it the most.
  6. And wider seats means you're not crammed together with your neighbors as much as on the other levels.
  7. Mr Wok on Silvernail is fantastic. Off the menu, not the buffet. Delafield Brewhaus also. I'm not a fan but it's family friendly. But yeah, Marty's is a solid choice.
  8. Fun fact- My first job ever was there, whatever it was called back in 1987, washing dishes in the restaurant.

  10. Last year it was an incredibly awesome buyer's market. Just find the real fans trying to dump tickets outside the front of the stadium in the resell area. There were people that couldn't get rid of them. The scalpers were really struggling too. Same thing two years ago. I had two decent seats in the terrace that I was looking to get rid of starting a couple hours before game time that I had to eat. One guy offered me 5 bucks apiece. Game day demand was non existent. The StubHub/eBay/Craigslist market & the day of game parking lot market are two completely different things.
  11. No reason to use the secondary market for Opening Day if you only need a pair. Tickets have been easily available the last several years at the box office or online in the week or so leading up to the game. Just keep checking. Worst case you'll get piggybacked singles.
  12. Yep same here.
  13. I got 4 together in 423. Happy that I don't have to stand in line this Saturday. 3 other people I know got winning emails also. I think they only got 8 tickets between them since they didn't want to sit in the Terrace.
  14. Anyone get Opening Day tickets this morning?
  15. I went to a couple of the shirt nights last year and ended up giving mine away. I'm a bigger gentlemen that generally wears a 2x. At one of the games I unrolled it right after I walked in and held it up in front of me, fully knowing it was a teeny lil shirt. There was an older usher sitting in a chair guarding one of the exits or whatever it is that they do. He looked up at me and says really loudly "YEAH THAT'S NEVER GONNA FIT." I thought my buddy was going to fall on the floor laughing.
  16. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-3-d-bud-selig-experience-a-real-thing-that-is-actually-happening/ "And what is the interactive attraction in walking into a facsimile of anybody’s office, especially Bud Selig’s? What do you get to do? Arrange for the World Series not to be held? Mastermind an All-Star Game that ends in a tie? Ignore the glistening tower of syringes, reaching almost all the way up to the ceiling over there in the corner? Duck baseballs thrown at you by the hologrammic Gary Sheffield? Trade Greg Vaughn for Bryce Florie, over and over again? That sounds like something Dante would have dreamed up. Alighieri, that is. Not Bichette, whose hologram likely will stalk the joint, too, looking for the head of Kevin Reimer."
  17. Selig to Become Baseball Commissioner Emeritus http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/selig-baseball-commissioner-emeritus-27721035
  18. I expected worse. I'd stick around for Goo Goo Dolls and Joe Nichols. I like Nichols earlier stuff. Looks like he's making a comeback by hitching his wagon to bro country which is unfortunate. And pre-sellout Goo Goo Dolls were actually pretty great. Too bad they won't play any of the songs I'd like to hear.
  19. Germans? Animal House reference
  20. "Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale Matt Garza tweaks left oblique #brewers that forced him out of the game"
  21. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v288/gypcasino/Screenshot2014-07-15at80836PM.png
  22. Blue Jays radio announcers really surprised at the quick trigger on Roenicke
  23. Was the dust up with Gomez and the 2b anything or not really
