  1. Sutton, Landry, Gesicki all just went 40-42.... three guys I would have liked to have.... interested in what they do here.
  2. Erceg hands down, younger & more boom to him as ceiling goes. Carroll is your typical college senior sign who hits well at low levels playing above average age. He is closer to Stefan Wilson prospect over everyday MLB guy.
  3. Burns I guess can be human.... worst start of his career.
  4. Life from Lutz! Erceg 4-5..... id say he is dialed in. Ray has had rough past 3 games
  5. Kodi’s whole career has pretty much come down to if he can learn to pitch over throw. One thing to be nasty without command & to nasty with ability to put ball where you want to. Command is what will dictate if he is a TOR, 4/5, Hader role, or Loogy. Good news is he is showing growth there. Last year out of pen as piggy back he was great. For some reason, when he starts games he usually has his worst outings. Hope that stays away in 2018
  6. Ramirez & Aguilar as power bats off bench & Ramirez & Jennings to play match ups with! Honestly though, guy deserves a shot at some point. He made a transition back to pitching after 5 years away from it & has not only excelled but been one of the safest arms to put out there in system. Outside of the lack of Ks, he’s been pretty dominant at getting guys out. The fact he is a lower average Power bat who can give you an extra guy if injuries hit at the plate is a real nice bonus
  7. I think where Lara is in his development.... he doesn’t stand a chance to make a team unless they are that willing to both play 24 man roster all season & steal a critcal year of development from a kid who needs it. Again if you take a chance on a young bat at low level you need to at least target a guy with at least one superior trait. Defensive, contact, obp, and speed are not plus tools & power still has not became plus yet. A Grisham type kid who gets on base like crazy with walks despite average is much more appeal at this stage than an all around raw project still coming together
  8. Medorois, Ponce, Ortiz, Q. Torres-Costa are most pressing. I feel it is easier for a pitcher to stick. Gatewood’s bat right now is still too far off to stick Imo. He will almost certainly be returned. If you are going to take chance on bat, needs to be at least a high opb to offer team something. To me Stokes or Taylor get spot for OF & Taylor defensively can play all three very well. Stokes is a LF. I could see team snagging him though. If Supek gets to to AA & excels.... hard not to put on
  9. Quinton Torres Costa is maybe the most intriguing pullpen arm in system. Think he is a kid who can force his way up by season end. Another filthy lefty with Hader like K numbers. Tyrone Taylor is really showing life of a former top prospect of our system. Still think he’d be a really solid 4th OF. Another guy I wouldn’t be surprised to see by end of season
  10. Very few prospects at 19/20 in our system have came to Wisconsin & hit ground running. Tyron Taylor may be the last one. Most have been similar to Lutz & Garcia. 30-40 degrees and overall weather conditions usually don’t help most young hitters. May and early will be the big month and a half to see if he starts to click. If no, per usual, he will go back down to Helena to get hot before coming back up in August. Literally absolutely nothing unusual. Harrison is a rising star in minor leagues and he was terrible before being sent down ( got hot & then injuried in Helena) in first try. List goes on. Give him time to adjust. He is a player.... just had a tough start like many young kids do with the advanced placement
  11. Since being drafted it has seemed Brewers have been high on Francis, can see why with his start! Supek on tonight, Ortiz been great outside of 1 mistake, Derby overall good day. Pitching off to most exciting start that I can remember! Ton of depth growing in this system. Frontline guys? Maybe not majority but just real nice arms! Our next rankings will be interesting if all this continues!
  12. He started out the 1st 4 games 4-18 with 10 Ks 2 BB Last 7 games 13-29 1bb 2 ks Streaks are streaks but something has seemed to click & he is seeing the ball very well! Ray, Stokes, Erceg at the top of order has been nightmare for pitchers as of late!
  13. Neuhaus was off to same start last year before injury stole his season. It will be interesting to see what he can do with a healthy season. Peralta looking like he wants to prove he is a starter. He is the 5th youngest player in the league so it is an exciting start for him! Brewers will need these guys. Nelson & Anderson are only two guys who deserve looked spots. Davies makes a case for himself.....hopefully Burns, Peralta, Woodruff, and Ortiz and help solve some of our issues moving towards the future. It is hard to forget how young Kodi is! He will be 21 all season in AA and this the most encouraged I have been by him in a long while. Guys like him and Lara seem so much older and like they have been around forever. Waaaay to early to get excited.... but it is hard not to. Even Tyrone Taylor is doing his best to show why he once was ahead of Arcia as a prospect. Can never really write off a prospect... Coulter maybe.... the Carolina assignment kind of showed where he falls now in org. depth chart. Sad, had so much hope for him
  14. Stay hot kid! Lara goes 3-3 with double in 2nd game. Essentially the entire offense in the lose. Ray, Taylor, Nottingham, Erceg, Lara who all got a lot of mention in the bounce back players for the year have thankfully started well. Sucks to see Breakout guys like Gatewood, Lutz, Garcia all struggling really bad at plate. Hopefully some things start to click & balls start to fall
  15. Best QB in football, Jimmy Graham to stretch middle, Bryant & Adams to stretch outside & two of the best jump ball getters.....Cobb with everything underneath.... sounds good to me.. If you are concerned about Bryant needing to be thrown open, I’m pretty sure we have a QB who can handle that. Bryant is very good WR even healthy. Probably still a top 10. He just hasn’t stayed healthy. Dak like Wilson is a winning QB but not a guy who really helps WRs put up numbers.
  16. Segovia looks to have refound his elite hit tool & is stealing bases at great pace! Hopefully at least some power comes to hit a few doubles or triples eventually.
  17. Hader is just a beast 22ks in 9 2/3 inning.... nearly unhittable. Use him in highest leverage situation wherever that is in the game for 1-3 innings. He is a weapon. Like Lopez to get real look. Not one of those, have bad outing, give up on him, and send him down for long period.
  18. Demi off to a nice start along with Lara. He is another guy who can really drive stock back up. Garcia & Lutz won’t be this bad forever.... rough first week for them
  19. I’ve been fighting against the Lara is 20.... should just give up & cut him already haters for a long while.... please Good Lord let this be the Lara of the future! All talent in world, hopefully things are finally going to click for him & his attitude has turned around. Hello Corey Ray.... about time we get to meet you!
  20. Dream would be to stretch Hader out more & more out of pen. Starters can’t make it 5 innings over half the time. Work him up in innings & pitch count to open door to rotation without needing to go down. Won’t happen but love he has ability to give us 1-3 innings of outstanding relief. Overall I think our pullpen can survive with depth without him.... our rotation has mostly been a joke & could use a stud like Hader in there. Excitement every 5th day of know we have that kind of talent to try to win a game alone would be a bright spot.
  21. Another night of impressive system baseball! Plus a game with zero k’s from Ray.... that’s always a sight for sore eyes
  22. [sarcasm]5-5 in first 10 games with spotty hitting outside of 9th inning, bad pitching out of most of rotation, and ugly defense.... it’s to late in season for these type of problems..... may be best to fire CC, sell off our assets, and put DS on the hot seat.[/sarcasm] It’s April, we are more sloppy than I’d like but it is not a problem yet. If we are in May & June still looking this sloppy then maybe we have a real problem but really.... it’s not even 2 weeks in. I personally think CC is a very good manager & these issues will get cleaned up. Some of these mistakes are by guys who usually don’t makes these errors almost ever. Shaw with ball between legs, Yelich an error, Cain not looking as elite at all times as he normally is. Heck Hayward missed a ball on Saturday that he never misses! Brewers aren’t only team making sloppy dumb plays. I’m sure Cub fans are wondering when Madden gets put on hot seat for defensive mental errors.....
  23. Houser was regarded comparably to Trey Supak right now..... former 2nd pick, solid but not dominant. He was clearly, and by good margin the last & bottom piece of the 4. Luckily, as soon as he got off the plane, a switch flipped & he was just outstanding until injury!
  24. Now just have to see if he can pitch at mlb level. Even if he can’t, the bat should play!
