  1. How do you fix a flatlined offense..... add more dead bats to the mix. Dubon's injury came at worst possible time! He is probably one called up if not for the ACL 2 days ago......
  2. I don't think Becky is the right fit for this club and where they are at. If they were still the young team and in spot they were 2-3 years ago.... okay give a try and let them grow with her. We need a coach who can win, has won, is well respected, and has the X & O system that stops causing us to greatly underachieve on both sides of the ball. She knows her stuff but doesn't have that proven record of winning and respect.
  3. If Rapters really do fire Dwane Casey tomorrow or this week.... he seems like a guy who could be great hire. Took an awful team into something pretty much with two main guys. Both that I don’t think are #1s on a good team at least not Lawry. Think Casey is just really a good coach. He sure helped Bucks look foolish year at year pounding us
  4. Segovia has always had elite hit tool, just nice to see some extra base hits starting to role in a bit. Burns was fantastic! He really needed that bounce back!
  5. Not sure how I missed Ramirez for the RP mentions. It was nice to see a number of cast offs make the list Neuhaus, Demi O, Gilbert Lara, J. Nottingham, T. Taylor. All these guys had hype at one point but have falling off. Sadly, the guys who should be on this list all did not have great months. Many had a hot streak that got us excited before falling back down to earth (Ray and Erceg)
  6. Brewers All-April Team Some tough choices for good and bad reasons. I tried to go with guys who are playing at least close to average at. 25 in AA for Hager and Moore and Orf (who I love) at 28 in AAA got bounced to focus on younger prospects. At 1B, Choi tops Gideon due to similar numbers but outstanding 17 to 22% BB to K%. Lara didn’t play a ton of 3B in April with Hairston out but now is there again, he beats out Erceg because no one under 100 wRC+ should make the list. Neuhaus with Orf & Hager out of running and him play most of the games at 2B for Huira, he was best choice. Demi beat out Stokes in my eyes because of higher average and much better K rate. Love the walks but Stokes is at 33% K%. Nottingham and Dubon have been to of the best in system but both are not walking enough (4 between the 2 of them). 1B Ji-Man Choi .270/ .385/ .405 .790 OPS ---7 2B, 1 HR,111 wRC+, .123 ISO, 17/ 22 BB/K% 2B Tucker Neuhaus (22 Starts at 2B) 264/ .306/ .462 .768 OPS--- 6 2B, 4 HR, 114 wRC+, .208 ISO, 5/33 BB/K% SS Mauricio Dubon .322/.322/.529 --- .851 OPS ---7 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR--- 119 wRC+, .247 ISO, 1/ 16 BB/K in just under 90 PAs On Road: .306/.324/.472 4XBH (out of 11) 3B Gilbert Lara .291/.333/.443 .776 OPS --- 6 2B, 2 HR, 112 wRC+, .145 ISO, 6/20 BB/K% C Jacob Nottingham .396/ .431/.750 1.181OPS --- 6 2B 1 3B 3HRs -- 190 wRC+ .356 ISO 5/26 BB/K% in just under 60 PAs In only 3 road games .333/ .400/ .556 2 XBH (out of 10) LF Tyrone Taylor .333 /.364/.569 .932 OPS --- 2 HR, 2 2B, 2 3B --- 141 wRC+, .224 ISO, 6/12 BB/K% On Road: 7 G .240/ .296/ .480 CF Joantgel Segovia .351/.415/.432 .847 OPS --- 2 2B, 1 3B, 142 wRC+ .081 ISO, 7/13 BB/K% RF Demi Orimoloye .270/.341/.473 .814 OPS --- 3 2B, 3 3B, 2 HR, 132 wRC+, .195 ISO, 7/19 BB/K% SP 1. Woodruff, Ponce, Roegner all got serious consideration. Ponce and Roegnar’s WHIPs both over 1.40 turned me off and Woody has been outstanding Peralta better since K’s are down and BB’ing a good amount. RP 1. Quinton Torres Costa 2. Michael Peterson 3. Miguel Sanchez 4. Tristan Archer QTC is most dominant pitcher in our system as a RP. Peterson, Sanchez, and Archer all are older but big K guys with very few walks. Archer has a very high babip that has killed his other numbers a bit.
  7. From seasons end to training camp Packers should have had Clark on the Giannis & Thon diet (6000 to 8000 calories a day) & lifting heavy to bulk him up for TE. Get him up to 240-245 for this season. 250-255 in 2019. Never be an inline guy but could use him like a Graham. His frame isn’t slight like a MVS or St. Brown. Problem is he had always trained as a b-ball player & later a WR. He has the dream frame to work with. It is amazing what colleges & NFL strength & conditioning. David Edwards 6’7 220 QB/TE recruit...redshirts, 6’7 285 next season.... by rs Soph season 6’7 310. That is just my opinion & dream for him though. Incredibly interesting story on the Brown (St. Brown kids) family! https://www.google.com/amp/amp.si.com/college-football/2017/09/06/equanimeous-osiris-amonra-st-brown-brothers-family
  8. 2x first team All American, 6’6 with incredible extension & power in leg. Outstanding on kick offs. Vogel was good but it has been some time since we had an elite punter (Bidwell maybe?). If they see elite potential in him, roll the dice. Field position is huge, lost best gunner in league which helped inflat Vogel’s net a bit in Janis. I’m fine with not liking specialist in 5th round but to complain because not getting OLB or TE that is just laughable. What garbage non impact or ceiling guy you want them to reach on? Well is pretty dry for both. You take BPA, not just pick marginal talents who are bodies to fill a roster position. Scott & MVS are both high ceiling talents. I rather go that direction over picking blah talent to say you drafted someone at that position
  9. Packers go WR MVS out of USF in 5th...... Tall, long, and can flat out run. Height of Clark, Speed of Davis/Janis. Slight & lean build to him (think Plaxico Burress or even G. Allison). Interesting to see what he offers. Building up perimeter competition on both sides of the ball
  10. With 2 first round picks next year, we have ammo to go get Nick Bosa if we want to. But overall with talent like the two beast from Clemson Ferrell & Bryant, Terrell Lewis at Alabama, Joe Jackson the U, Josh Allen Kentucky, Montez Sweat Miss St. and if Brian Burns fills out body.....those are all 1st round talents who have excellent EDGE size (beside burns and Allen who need weight), are explosive and produce a lot of sacks and TFLs.
  11. Really bad Edge class.......really really bad. There was Chubb........ Landry dropped for reason, size and length aren't great. There was only 5 taken in first two days. Very few of them scream impact. Most either don't have great size or length, are not explosive, or really under produced for athletic ability. You can't just take guys because you need a playmaker there if there is not impact guys on board for you. Hopefully 2019 isn't as awful
  12. Where is the TE pick?! Very slim pickings now there if you are looking for an athletic playmaking TE. Fumagalii, maybe Andew Vollert from Weber St. or Tyler Conklin from Central Michigan...... but mostly inline guys like Ryan Izzo
  13. Cole Madison a usual G/T Swing for Packers, Great man bun and beard. Now with Sweat gone, dont see many impact EDGE guys. Still for Time Settle to add true NT inside and increase depth there
  14. Strong, can leap, not blazing speed but plays faster. I think Adams is good comp. Hands aren't as great as Adams coming out (caught everything in college).
  15. J'Mon Moore! Really like the pick. Gives you that Jordy Outside size/speed combo.
  16. Natrell Jamerson has good shot of going in 6th or 7th Conner Sheeny at 6'5 300 could be a Dean Lowry 3-4 DE in 7th round Leon Jacobs is an absolute freak athlete but doesn't have true position in NFL, could see if drafted based on athletic talent that is matched with production. You draft him hoping he can play inside. I'd say 6th or 7th Alec James will probably go Undrafted Also forgot about Dooley, he has a shot to sneak into draft
  17. Don't really know how he fits. I guess Mo Wilkerson is on short term deal but he is a 4-3 interior guy. Unless you are replacing Mike Daniels who also fits much better in a 4-3, I don't know where he plays. 3-4 Sized guys Lowry 6'6 300 Wilkerson 6'4 315 Adams 6'4 305 Clark 6'3 315 Daniels 6'0 310 Hurst is 6'1 290, I much rather they go for a real NT sized guy like T. Settle at 6'3 335. Regardless I love Hurst but his size isn't very appealing with scheme. He'd have to fight with Clark who is a rising star for inside reps in sub packages. No way he replace Daniels in that role.
  18. Good news for Tristen Lutz is despite his line still looking pretty ugly, over the last 7 games (only 16 games in) he has shown life and turn around. First 9 games: 2-37 .056 Average, 1 XBH (HR) 2 BB/ 16 Ks.... about a 5% BB to 42% K Rates Last 7 games: 8-27 .296 Average 3 XBH (HR, 2 2B) 2 BB / 6KS ....about 6.5% BB to 20% K Rates Factor age, the aggressive assignment and weather.... not surprising he got off to such a rough start but hopefully he can keep trending up. I'm still very high on him!
  19. Packers want to go for homerun boom or bust pass rusher, think Josh Sweat should be targeted. He fits that uber-athletic upgrade we need. Was #1 player in country coming out of High School & tabbed as next Clowney. Knee was destroyed early in college but he has rebounded athletically. He had lower production in college. But with 8 picks, to burn one on a freak with hopes to get him to coach him up to his ceiling doesn’t sound awful.
  20. At worse he turns out to be so so player who is an outstanding & smart young man! No highlights in video but shows kind of kid he is. Pretty much definition of “Packer guy” As a player I like the pick. Incredible athlete who excels in coverage. Sideline to sideline type guy. Not the mean enforcer you’d get with an Edmunds. Martinez will need to be the strong “Sam” type IB with Burke more of a Will scrap IB. Has a bit of Nick Barnett in him & does over plays & gives up inside leverage on cut backs. Strong draft so far!
  21. Great thing about King, Alexander, Jackson is that they are all Wide Receivers playing CB. All have outstanding tracking & ball skills with ability to make plays! That is huge since Packers have not forced nearly the output of turnovers they where in the Shields Williams Woodson Hayward Hyde days. Need to get back to that
  22. Quality over quantity, trade back in!
  23. Nice thing about the last three is that they were all 1st round talents. Alexander’s injuries in 17’ are only reason he wasn’t competing with Ward for Top CB taken according to many scouts. King was legit option before we traded out last year. Jackson was a guy a lot of people thought would be gone by 10-20. The other two.... Well a FS reach with plans to convert to CB & a basketball player who had barely played football.... Randell did have moments though. Rollins had never been healthy enough to show anything. Like the recent direction much more! I think Jones will step up huge for us this year! Loved that pick last year
  24. You got King & Jackson for outside....Alexander slot.... Ha Ha FS & Jones at SS for the future! 5 top 2 round guys. Mix in Williams & House, that gives you options! Could see a lot of King & Williams Outside, Alexander slot, Jones IB, and Jackson SS (Hyde type role) Still be a learning curve with how young they are. Ha Ha is the old man at what? 25/26 lol but potential to be a huge strength for us soon is exciting!
  25. Jackson, Goedert, Kirk, Chark, Hubbard, Carter, Miller?
