  1. Think Woodson more than Hyde as a player. Most had him as a Top 5 pick since coming out of high school. Guy can flat out play and is 100x the athlete Hyde was. The comparison is based on pure versatility. I completely don't understand how versatility & being a hybrid could be bad. In the NFL if you do not have a DB who can locked down the slot & be a playmaker all over field, you are at huge disadvantage. Now from the understanding that you are probably upset over safety Randell becoming a CB & struggling.... Rollins always hurt & a project.... but Peppers is a guy to be excited about. Why he is dropping despite testing out really well is because he doesn't have a true position. To me, his best fit is slot, ss, MLB. Remember Burnett in different formations dropped down to MLB. Grab Peppers Round 1, Sidney Jones Round 2 (if Doctor reports are promising) got a strong future Core at DB. Jones was my favorite CB in draft until injury. He is a true shutdown outside CB
  2. Gatewood....2 bbs & double.. I like. Man on man just wait until Ray come! Carolina is spoiled rotten this year!
  3. Jabrill Peppers is perfect for the way they used Hyde & Woodson. He will never be an Outside CB in the NFL but he is a guy who can play slot,SS, move in box, return and etc. He is a best friend for Defensive Coordinator due to how versatile he is. TT like DS loves guys loaded with versatility. Lucky for Packers, this draft is so loaded with good RBs & CBs in top 3 rounds.... Packers can really go anyway they want with BPA. No need to trade up for CB, you will get a really nice one where we are or in 2nd. At RB you can get a stud in 1st 2 rounds. Some good guards sitting there round 2-4. WR isn't top heavy but lot of 2-5 depth there. Not impressed with MLB OLB, DL class. As usual, I trust Ted, Wolf, and the gang. With how little seperation there is after the top 5-10 prospects & how deep it is, too many ways this draft can break. I'm not expert enough to really seperate most prospects and mock.
  4. Plan and simple....Gennett just wasn't a fit. They tried him out at other positions & they didn't like what they saw. He's a decent bat, yes. Problem is he can only play defense at 2B which is taken & he doesn't even play that well. DS wants versatile players. Franklin has a bat that could standout given ABs but more importantly, he can play all over the place. His defense may not be outstanding like Perez but he at least has ability to move around unlike Gennett.
  5. He is going to be stretched out to start according to Adam
  6. Wild 8th inning for Biloxi including double which include Davis taking home & Reed 2nd
  7. Hopefully only a jam for Brinson. That's tough first game... Hader unhittable as usual but 5bb's. Cordell has been a beast since Spring! That continues tonight! Wisconsin won't win many games striking out 15 times. Brown had 8 Ks in 4Ips and bullpen was really good rest of the way. Demi at least got 2 hits for them. Believe only player with multi-hit Not sure why Wilkerson is down in AA thought he'd be a lock in AAA but pitched really well tonight.
  8. I honestly never paid much attention to Harber until now and looking at his stats...he's been impressive! I think earning the right to be listed in the top 5 of that staff over Peralta & Yamamoto is good sign! I imagine since he has only pitched 80 innings in two season, I assume Harber is piggy backed for sure. Not sure who else would be. Diplan/Peralta again?
  9. Isn't Williams and Perrin piggy-backing? Would make sense with inning limits with Taylor's come back
  10. Mario Felciano is my #1 Have a feeling Braden Webb is a guy who might come out in dominate fashion. Him and Z. Brown I think will star in that T-Rat rotation Blake Lillas has filled out body, read he pitched very well in Spring, is a lefty, and sometimes it's nice when Robin gets to shine. In high school at most schools he'd be a prize.... But Riley Pint coasted a giant shadow. Lara, Gatewood, & Harrison dont really count as underradar but all were top 10 guys at one point who have all dropped greatly with depth added. I just feel those three in year 3 click! Harrison just needs to stay healthy.... Lara needs to put 2 full halfs of a season together, and Gatewood..... if he hits like he did this spring....He may claim 1B of future! Contact just needs to be consistent Dustin Houle was raved about & I always liked him. Think he is best catching prospect A+ & up (sorry McDowell you are a close 2nd) One of Rijo or Bethencourt make a step after not being good last year.
  11. Is Ray just waiting back in camp for a bit?
  12. Lara looked really good for second half of the season and started to click more. That mixes with in Arizona where he was an absolute monster until he hit that awful wall he wasn't able to get through. He has smocked the ball all spring. He is now 6'4 200 lbs which I believe, he is a well build young player. Remember, he will only be 19 all season! The Brewers have to strongly believe in him since they continue to push him. Feliciano may be the youngest player in MWL and even more impressive he is a catcher!
  13. Lol yeah in early college Young Jeezy was really popular & with a last name Giese.... it was like a 19-20 year old back of jersey nickname. My old BrewCrewWS2008 account stopped working so just rolled with it.
  14. Not really. I know when I submit our varsity rosters for football on wissports & maxpreps... I round up a good 5 pounds usually & and an inch or so.
  15. He has enough height at 6'3 he can probably hold that weight well & still be agile enough for defense. His dad is a coach for the Rockies, he loves baseball, and can smoke a baseball. Just never good when multiple people in system mentioned him needing to improve his conditioning. Last thing we need is Tyrone Perry 2.0 to eat way out of baseball. Doubt it will be an issue with Ronnie
  16. SP Aaron Myers will be a TRat Loved in interview hearing how much Erickson loves Mario at catcher and that he may spend all year at age 18 at catcher! That'd be extremely impressive!
  17. Add Corbin Burnes getting another quick bump & heading to Carolina!
  18. Fact is, you don't act impulsive & unprofessional in any job whether it is a 9-5 or pro athlete. I have no respect for childish outburst. Is he the only player at this time of the year who feels he earned a spot & lost out? No, not even close... but he is the one out of all the teams making headlines for ripping his employers apart. Life isn't fair, take it like a man & get better! Put a chip on your shoulders to prove them wrong! Go home & vent to your wife, then call parents & get rest out of your system. Tell them how much you hate your employer. You never post on social media or tell media that. People in 9-5's get fired for that kind of stuff. He has false sense of reality if he thinks a 9-5 isn't completely fair & your are always "treated like a human." Or he thinks childish unprofessional outburst are fine.
  19. Nash Walters continues to fill out well Lara is still shooting up at 6'4 200 now Ronnie Gideon..... all the complaints about his condition last season hope that is a good fit 250.... Burns, Drossner, Lillis, Jankins, and Aaron Meyer all filling out projections well. Franley Mallen put on 11 pounds which is great for him
  20. Outside of lines due to the vouchers, I thought the new layout was outstanding! Very open, a lot of options, by far much more visually appealing. Don't get the "disaster." Give 14,000 & 15,300 free food, of course lines will be an issue. Hard to complain about price, you know the outrageous cost before walk in the door. Overall, at end of the day, it is a business & their goal is to make money. There is a reason you tailgate. What I will complain about is AJ Bombers new reduced menu (only 2 burgers) for all their concession stands because it excludes My peanut butter bacon burger.... wasn't pleased. Lol only knock
  21. Really, in Colorado Reed just doesn't get ABs Brinson, Phillips, Cordell aren't going to share much time. I think the Brewers really like Reed but realistically he is #5 depth chart and want him to get ABs. Kyle Wren was brilliant last season & this spring to push ahead of him imo. Not sure Reed will sneak through waivers.
  22. Outside of pitching well today, Millione make zero sense to me. Suter I think would give you exact same for cheaper. Fine with Jungmann, outside of the awful 9th he had impressive spring. Hughes will do. Cravy, needs to man up. Publicly calling out your employers is childish & unprofessional. Want a 9-5? Go on social media & blast Boss for not getting a promotion you think you deserved. Fired next day. Poor guy is going to collect double my teaching salary for 6 months of pitching 30-50 innings. Plus he gets called up first to make 10 years of salary of me. Hope he has great degree & is brilliant because he's going to be taking giant pay cut to probably be crapped on by false sense of reality. Sorry that really didn't sit well. It's one thing to say you are really disappointed but you will work & prove self interest of throwing tantrum publicly. He's not good enough to pull those stunts. My personal opinion.
  23. Brewers Record: 77-85 Playoffs: No Brewers MVP: Broxton Brewers CY Young: Jimmy Nelson (he looked for me last year in 1st half) Brewers ROY: Josh Hader First player traded: In season trade: Garza (That or cut for Hader has a spot) Surprise player: Shaw (recovers from his downfall last season) Disappointing player: Arcia (Don't see him hitting over .240 or OBP over .300, bats lagging still) World Series: Cubs over Someone in AL
  24. I'm really interested in who will make Wisconsin out of camp. Think Feliciano, McClanahan, Orimoloye, and Mallen all have an outside chance. Mario has had stellar camp but with him being a catcher, not sure they will push him that fast. McClanahan has hit well. I'd like to see Demi make but may have to wait until Harrison moves up.
  25. I was reading the top 5 Stat Cast Stories on brewers.com This really caught my eyes. Not sure where this post would fit but here seemed like a good place. To me this right here is why he will be odd man out in the future. With the depth we have in the OF that includes mostly all plus Defenders (Brinson, Phillips, then lower Clark, Ray, Harrison) I just don't see any room in the future for terrible defenders if we are going to build a team to contend. Santana can rip the ball but I'd take Brinson over him in RF for next year. Broxton was outstanding in CF so it will be toss up between which one moves to RF. Braun isn't very good either but he is the leader and captian of this young team. Overall, I hope Santana hits like a beast which he is capable of so we can flip him when Brinson, Phillips, or Cordell are ready.
