  1. What? Over? Did you say 'over'? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Ha! I hope you're right.
  2. Well, that looks like enough if the last three are any indication. Not much choice but to let Woodruff try and get through one more. One of those stretches, I guess...
  3. That wasn't bad luck, it was stupid baserunning. I thought the ball hit the dirt, and it looked incredibly close on replay. Maybe McKinney should have been cautious there, but I'll take that gamble considering the benefit of getting to third with one out.
  4. Offense meek and Woody struggling with command early. Cannot wait to get Pina back. Catching matters.
  5. It's frustrating, but the lineuo is what it is, and the pitching has just been a notcch below its April self so far this series. One big inning hurting them in all three games. Off days coming up, and a (theoretically) more favorable schedule as you get past the next homestand. Hang around, get healthy mid-to-late May, and all is okay.
  6. The one argument against robo umps that makes sense is the strike that clips the bottom of the zone while getting caught at the ankles. I will get used to that versus the ridiculous variance and inconsistency of human strike zones. You'd be going from a 93-94% zone to a 98-99 one. Hard to see the problem.
  7. Three groundballs, amd the one hit hardest is a DP. Shaping up to be another frustrating one. Need that big hit.
  8. Nice inning from Rasmussen. Glad it's a game, at least. Need to break through and set up the pen tonight.
  9. Athletic play that may have cost two runs. Looked like Gregorius was right behind second base for a potential 6-3 double play. Saw that on the replay. Would have been tough to get out of the way completely, but maybe a bit lucky there too, I guess.
  10. I'm amazed Herrera hasn't been a major part of the Phillies offensive output thes past three games...
  11. It's as if baseball isn't random enough. May as well make the replay system completely opaque. Just don't review tag plays at this point. Foul balls, close plays at first, etc., but those are where replay is the worst. Just let it be bang-bamg on the field.
  12. Thought the same. It looked like he got tagged while the foot was over the plate. I think he was probably out, but there is just no consistency at all.
  13. Such a big play in the game. You're a single away from being right there again. Big turn, bad slide. Yuck.
  14. Coonrod is a flame-thrower. Will he try to get 5 outs in a back-to-back? Not sure what else is out there for Girardi... Edit: Quiet Phillie pen, so that seems to be the plan.
  15. Yeah, you can't make errors like that when your margin is this thin in the back of the rotation and offensively.
  16. I mean, the really scary thing here is no one ever really understands back problems. Yikes. I hope it's something that can be managed, or that he can learn to manage. Unless the medical team missed something, that seems like the end result.
  17. Man. What else can the guy do? I guess McKinney is left-handed and can play first. Just odd man out. Will be back I'm sure.
  18. Rain would not ve the worst thing from the Crew's perspective....day off would help, and you'd think 7-inning DHs would help a team with good SP and a strong back-emd bullpen.
  19. Well, making it through this one on three pitchers is good, right? Should be pretty fresh for the Phillies series, though would certainly like to see Hauser get through 6.
