  1. I have that weird nervous energy I didn't think baseball would deliver this year. That's good. But I am also comfortable with this team's true talent level. House money, right!? Make it fun, Brew Crew! Make it fun.
  2. I agree with this completely, and maybe I'm off on the tiebreakers, but it's division record, right? I've got the Phillies as 21-19, the Brewers as 18-20, and the Giants as 18-19. Assuming the Phillies go 0-2, the Giants go 0-3 (counting IP game in SD), and the Brewers go 1-1, that would give the Crew the 8 spot by virtue of beating SF in the tiebreaker. That may not be a possibility for much longer, of course. But could still go 1-1 and get in if everything goes right.
  3. Anybody seen good ball data? From my Brewers perspective, it looks less jumpy. Offense down in a lot of places it seems.
  4. Yeah. Gotta win two in a row and get help. Need to see lots of teams lose tonight to feel okay...
  5. Making Dylan Carlson look like Trout. Yikes. Edit: Maybe it is just that everybody seems to have elite disciline compared to the lineup I see every day...good work from Rasmussen, though. Claudio too.
  6. I mean, that was hit hard. Arcia's too. I feel like so mich of the offense's issue is approach. Trying to hit EVERYTHING for HRs. And thes guys aren't good enough hitters to get away with it. So, you get lots of Ks and outs evem on hard hit balls. Garcia should be a doubles machine. Instead, he's bad.
  7. Screw it. Brewers are going to win in a walk-off at Busch. Fight me.
  8. Unfortunately that removes that dream that the Brewers could win a 2 out of 3 from the Dodgers with great games from Burnes and Woodruff. Revised dream: Woody dominance, bullpenning ala '18. Two Ws.
  9. I don't know why, but I think we win the first comfortably and white-knuckle all the way to the sweep. Trying on optimism. And, if not, well, I sure am hoping for a more normal season next year and really looking forward to how DS manages Hader in the offseason.
  10. Well....we'll have the rested pen tomorrow? Show up in game 1, offense. Then let's Hader and Williams the crap out of game 2.
  11. Time for the long game. Drive up Reyes' pitch count and make them use another reliever.
  12. Amen. Lots of velocity with him and Rasmussen.
  13. Um...that first pitch to Goldschmidt was where exactly?
  14. Yeah, the double there was hit way harder. Knebel is not the same dudem. Can't buy it. No put away pitch. Missing way too much on the high FB. It's a stars and scrubs BP.
  15. I mean...those pitches are not nasty. They are simply not close. Gallegos stunk that inning, and it was easy.
  16. Hiura has had a good night, but, yeah, total bailout. Noncompetitive pitch.
  17. Miller the key out there, I think. That inning was all about letting Yardley go against RHB. I think the Brewers will get at least one more tonight. I hope it's a lot more.
  18. Miller is going to be a tough AB for Yardley. Didn't get a close one on Goldy. It's Yardley's to lose through Dejong, I think.
  19. Well, Cards pen going to have to cover 4 looks like. Never know. I am looking at this like a postseason series. 5 games. First one is big, but you only need 3 in any order.
  20. On the bright side, Cards with lots of wasted chances already.
