    Looks like I jinxed him this inning. I still think he winds up being productive this year.

    One inning only, but Fiers just gets it done. It will be interesting to see how he fares by the end of the season.

    22. Just absolutely horrible - I've got a kid a couple of years younger. I can't imagine what his parents (and his passenger's parents) are going through.

    I really think that 2015 is Melvin's swan song. I think that's one reason that RRR is still around. Attanasio might be looking ahead (maybe even knows) and would like a new GM to be able to choose his own manager. The fly in the ointment is the untimely passing of Bruce Seid - if a new GM wants all of his people in critical positions, Seid's replacement might just be a place holder.

    Pitch count through 4 innings: Fiers 72. Turner 49. And Turner has an ERA over 6. If Attanasio wants to investigate, there's the first place to start.

    Jean has certainly hit better the past week. I know, small sample size.

    I may be reading between the lines, but it sounds to me like Attanasio will need to be convinced to keep RRR. For those that get to regularly watch the team, are there any players that looked like they were dogging it? I don't recall many posts questioning the effort.

    On an unrelated note, what is going on with Gorzelanny? He's pitched 3 times this month, had two clean outings (and one hit in the other). $5.7 million over two years - he's pitched 20 innings this year. Not bad work.

    RRR still playing the matchups after being eliminated with 3 games left. Here's an idea - let's get Gennett some AB's against left handed pitching.

    I just don't see how Attanasio will not make front office changes after this disaster.

    It would be nice to know if RRR actually says something to the player when this occurs. I don't want to jump to a conclusion, but this type of "baserunning" seems to happen frequently. The risk just isn't worth the reward.

    The only reason it's Kinz-ie is because Brox-ie has blown the last two eight innings.

    8 pitch inning. For such a bunch of gritty battlers, it seems a bit low.
