  1. Oh would be a nice addition if cheap.
  2. I would have traded him for Machado. I will still trade him for Harper. Other than those 2, yeah not interested.
  3. If he comes to Milwaukee, which I don't think will happen, I hope it's not for the trade offer that MLB.com predicted the Brewers would get him for: Corbin Burnes and Brett Phillips for JA Happ. Still can't get over the ridiculous things that website spews out. I know, that's a crazy offer. No way could we get Happ without giving up Hiura.
  4. I hope Pina and Broxton can somehow get on so Thames can hit a game tying HR strike out for the 5th time.
  5. Jeez Solis sucks, any pitcher who allows a HR to Perez should immediately leave the mound and go to AAA to work on things...
  6. The Brewers have scored 21 runs in 5 games since the break, not counting today. I'm not sure how much scoring you are expecting/hoping for. Sure it would be nice if we scored 8 runs per game, but how many teams are doing that? League average is 4.44 runs per game. Brewers score 4.34 per game. That's below average. Brewers allow 3.89 per game. 4th best in the league. The offense is clearly the problem. The starting pitching especially is playing above their true talent, but yes the offense could use some help. To say they put up a stinker just about every game is a bit dramatic though.
  7. Must have been a fortunate bounce off the wall for Kratz to get all the way to second...
  8. 3 pitch at bat, that's ruining lopez's pitches per out ratio...
  9. On the bright side, Cards and Pirates lost...Cubs just gave up a HR to tie with the dbacks. Hopefully they lose as well so we don't lose ground in the central.
  10. Maybe we should have Lopez start. 12 pitches, 6 outs. He could pitch a complete game in 54 pitches at that rate...
  11. Both Aguilar and Thames have struggled since the break. Thames needs to improve his approach, Aguilar needs to start hitting the pitches he was pounding with ease 3 weeks ago.
  12. The Brewers have scored 21 runs in 5 games since the break, not counting today. I'm not sure how much scoring you are expecting/hoping for. Sure it would be nice if we scored 8 runs per game, but how many teams are doing that?
  13. Going the Jorge Lopez route doesn't annoy me as much considering we took the first 2 of this series.
  14. I don't think we should consider sending Freddy to AAA. He gave up a HR to Bryce Harper, better pitchers can say the same thing. I think we need to try for offense with Peralta due up 3rd, and today becomes a Jorge Lopez day if we can't claw out a few runs in the next couple innings.
  15. The amount of rope that Stearns has, I'm not sure that much rope exists...
  16. The kid looks like he's 12, how is he already having back problems?
  17. Quite simply one of the dumber things I have read regarding a team's plans. The Royals are 31-69 with a pitcher who will be 30 in December and makes $46 million over the next three seasons. This is flat dumb. That's my thought too. I see no logic. It's not like Duffy is Degrom, where you can see "we have no plans to trade him, but we'll listen"...type of thing, where they want teams to blow down the door to get him. He's simply not of that caliber. And right, the Royals are very unlikely to be good for at least 2-3 years, probably more. This has the looks of an Astros level rebuild.
  18. I think Ortiz makes sense as well. Medeiros was drafted higher, but his stock is rising if anything while Tate's is more stagnant...kinda like Ortiz. I don't understand how the Cubs didn't get him, why didn't they simply overpay with all their prospect capital? Oh wait, they did that the last 2 years and don't have any good prospects left...
  19. It wasn't the arm strength that made the throw bad, it was the accuracy. If that throw is within a couple feet of the catcher, it's an out. Remember, Cain was the runner and has good speed. Fortunately his aim was way off.
  20. A shame that Williams didn't get out of that inning. He deserved those last 2 outs. I agree with bringing in the lefty though.
  21. Williams does not look sharp at all. Missing his spots big time. Hopefully he gets away with it for a couple more hitters.
  22. i do question this move. I kno we don't have unlimited options, but Williams has really been struggling. Probably better to use Jennings first, or Barnes.
  23. Throwing 99 makes it tougher to punish mistakes. Have to make up your mind to swing earlier...Knebel will always get away with more mistakes than Suter or Davies or Albers.
  24. He really does, and Braun is a better defender. It doesn't seem to be something Thames is going to all of a sudden fix tonight. Leaving Braun in seems obvious. For now, let's hope the good part of our lineup can get Braun home.
  25. I'd like to see Braun stay in on some sort of double switch. Either for Thames or Aguilar(probably Thames)
