  1. These announcers are a little annoying. They seem more pro-Braves than I'd like.
  2. Gotta love the guy that has absolutely no concept on how business works.
  3. Anderson has a really really good changeup, and his command of it is so good.
  4. Oh my goodness if that's the case what an absolute blunder by the Braves.....
  5. I like that adjustment right off the rip from Peralta. Braves were swinging early and often, opens up with a curve for a strike.
  6. Those were some nice pitches from Anderson, and really nice takes by Narvaez.
  7. Feels like we are going to need very timely hits bunched together or a big fly with guys on. Don’t have a ton of confidence in the offense putting a lot of guys on. This was always going to be the plan. This team is built on pitching/defense. They're going to have to be mostly perfect. The Braves starters are also pitching very well so have to give them some credit.
  8. Not trying to jinx anything, but i'm going to post career stats of Braves hitters vs Freddy Peralta Soler - never faced Freeman - 2 for 9, 1 2B, 1BB, 2K Albies - 1 for 7, 1 2B, 2 BB, 1 K Riley - 1 for 2, 1 BB, 1 K Duvall - 0 for 1, 1 BB Rosario - 0 for 4, 2K D'Arnaud - never faced Swanson - 0 for 5, 2 BB, 1 K So he hasn't really racked up the punchouts against these guys, but he's done excellent limiting them thusfar. Considering the lack of punchouts and Freddy tends to be a flyball pitcher, I'm a bit nervous about Yelich in LF. It is what it is though, he's obviously not getting benched. Just a bit of cause for concern.
  9. Please please please, put Urias in the lineup. Escobar to the bench where he belongs
  10. Honestly Morton's command is excellent and his stuff is really good today. It's going to be tough no matter who his hitting against him today.
  11. Just because he isn't in the Game 1 lineup doesn't mean that Urias isn't going to play a major role in this series. In what will likely be a low-scoring game. defense is likely to be at a premium, and the alignment of Escobar at 3B and Tellez at 1B is likely a little more sound than Urias at 3B and Escobar at 1B. Or, Escobar on the bench...put the superior bat/glove/everything in Urias at 3b?
  12. My ideal lineup Wong Urias Adames Tellez Garcia Yelich Cain Narvaez P What I actually think happens Wong Adames Yelich Escobar Garcia Narvaez Urias Cain
  13. Agreed, and I don't think the scenario needs to be THAT extreme. Keeping Hader in a 1 inning role would be mismanagement in my opinion. I'm not interested in throwing up rookie Ashby in a key spot like that against Freeman to keep Hader in his comfort zone. No thanks. It's the playoffs, best on best.
  14. The Braves have 4 left handed relievers on their roster. Holy buckets
  15. Was this recent? Or just something he said early in the season? Multi-inning outings are almost always a thing in the playoffs in cases with elite relievers. I can understand his commentary in the regular season but playoffs are and should be different.
  16. I do remember, the Rockies didn't really put up much resistance. Seemed like everything CC did worked perfectly. That said, last time around we didn't even have the luxury of elite SP. We were rolling Chacin/Miley as our top 2 starters and then our current big 3 were relief weapons if i remember correctly. In an ideal world, we'll go SP to Hader with maybe 1 other guy having to pitch in games we win. We might need Hader to get more than 3 outs some games, hopefully he's ready for that.
  17. Gustave over Suter, otherwise I had it about right. I'm a bit surprised Gustave over other options like Norris. I think ideally he never pitches though.
  18. Anyone think Maile makes the roster as a RH bench bat/3rd catcher? I don't think it's impossible for sure. I updated the initial post on the thread with my prediction. Scratched Williams because barf, and bolded the 3 guys i initially had on the fence that i think make it.
