Your not kidding, I honestly forgot he was in the pen till I read that.
-
Probably not real far in the future.
-
Older article, but 10 in the past decade when written. He joins Realmuto, Russell Martin, John Jaso, Jonathan Lucroy, Derek Norris, Willson Contreras, Francisco Cervelli, Andrew Knapp, and Francisco Mejia https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.si.com/mlb/2019/04/16/catchers-batting-leadoff-curt-casali-reds-dodgers

Yea, give a guy like Hader an extra inch or two and it’s almost unhittable.
-
So many of our pitching prospects have excelled in the pen as opposed to the rotation. Started with Hader, now Peralta, Houser, even Burnes with more success in the pen. Financially would be more productive if these guys settle into the rotation at some point, but sure looks good as relievers now.

Hey look, a really good baseball game just broke out!!!
-
Sarcasm is not demeaning, relax man.

What was the huge cheer about? Fan on the field?
-
Boy that’s a big shot Moose!!!! Great to see him pumped up as he goes around! Awesome
-
Really need to cash in this inning. I thought Yelich may be on the move at some point here. Hard to cover 3rd with the shift.
-
Good start, now steal 2 bases and hope for a passed ball.
-
Houser looks soo good out of the pen.
-
If you think Cubs updates here are annoying how about the Brewers telecast showing Baez no look tag highlights.... barf.
-
I keep seeing stuff about the stealing 1st rule change. How is this gaining traction? This can’t actually happen right?

Happened last year too, all the way to the extra game. It’s called a pennant race, it was fun. I get it’s July, but any time the Brewers are close enough to the division lead for it to be relevant, I’m good with it. It’s like the old spouse snoring story. If we fall completely out of the race we’ll wish it was relevant enough to be mentioned... lol Your first sentence is fine. Then you said it, you get it. Its July. I mean you do you. It was my opinion that it annoys me to see it over and over. I mean I wish I had that much free time to follow the Buccos Cards and Cubs. Jeez. Share some of that free time with me. Ty, for explaining what a pennant race is btw. I don’t go back to work till a month from next Tuesday....

Glad he’s getting it going. He can helps us in some form this year yet, even if it’s in September. More importantly he gives us options and flexibility this off season.

Think Gio is out of gas. Freddy time.
-
Quite the piggyback brewing with Freddy warming. Can’t get two more opposite pitchers than going from Gio to Freddy.
-
Honestly, I think counsell was doing something about the clubhouse. I have no evidence of that. But I’m making an educated guess. Perez leaving. Arcia being benched. Something seemed weird about it Perez wasn’t playing well and Saladino was hitting really well in AAA. I have no issue trying it. I have a big issue with not bailing on the plan when it’s painfully obvious he can’t hit mlb pitching.
-
Unless someone gets hurt there’s not really a spot for him till maybe September call ups. I think he’s a solid asset still going into next year.
-
Really nice turn by Hiura. He put something on that throw to first.
-
There really isn’t a downside to letting Dubon play SS and seeing what he can do. He almost can’t be worse. Some have said struggling could lower his trade value, but I doubt that. Brinson struggled when he came up and the return for him was pretty decent.
-
Shaw can play SS? Arcia can and should at this point. You just have to ride it out with him. Saladino isn't the answer. There still needs to be a backup on the roster. Even in case of an in game injury.
