People are listing a lot of pitchers as relief options, but it’s not a September roster. They need to set a 25 man, and likely 2 starters at most are on it. If Gio isn’t starting he’s not going to be there. I’d be surprised if Woodruff is there, unless only 1 starter is and he’s the long man. That 25 man will be interesting.

They are setting it up like it will be Chacin, but I would actually go with Miley as well. He's been throwing really well. The bigger question for me is who will we face. Mikolas is scheduled to pitch on the 29th. I'm hoping the Cards still have something to play for at that point so they can't skip his start to let him start the playoff game.

AZ Sunday lineup with a 4 spot in the first inning.
-
Hey, a Freddy Peralta sighting.
-
That’s some nasty movement from JJ
-
I want the Dodgers to miss the playoffs because I think they would be our toughest competition in the post season, but also just to be able to laugh at the two gigantic payrolls sitting home in the Dodgers and Nationals.
-
Pina with the slow walk around like that was intentional. Sorry Manny, you’re not really a prime candidate to be intentionally hit, lol.
-
Have we used Soria more than what the Sox did? Seems like he’s pitched a lot since coming over.
-
I don’t think the Cards losing to the Dodgers is a good thing. I do. I don't want the Cardinals anywhere near the playoffs. Would face the Cards any day of the week over that Dodger team.

Reds down to Billy Hamilton... runner on 2nd though
-
Why is De La Rosa closing for the Cubs?
-
Nice to see a base runner tagging with 2 outs as the runner behind him is passing him....
-
Butt Single and Bunt Double. Hope he gets two more AB, would love to see the triple and HR versions.
-
Bunt double... That might break Gameday
-
Shaw has looked far more mobile at second than I thought he would
-
I'm thinking man this is a huge late game situation and then realize it's the 5th inning....
-
Cain didn't tag up just so he could get a steal.
-
Nice job advancing by Arcia, not sure why Cain didn't move up.
-
Archer near tears, catcher laughing at him.
-
Is Peralta in the pen? I haven't kept track, but he could be useful on a night like this.
-
Feels like Woodruff and Burnes might be key innings eaters down the stretch to bridge gaps to late innings guys on nights like this.
-
Dodgers are the team I least want to see in the playoffs.
-
Lol, Pina off the wall in the gap, and has to sprint the whole way to leg out a double. The life of a catcher.
