Top spin liner that he had to leap to get a glove on? Yea, that’s a hit. Did he actually have to jump though? I'll give you the top spin part of it, but I disagree that it's a hit. To clarify I thought he should have caught it, but in today’s MLB that’s scored a hit almost every time is what I was getting at.

I wouldn’t either. Chacin has the best body of work this year but has been far from dialed in lately. Miley looked more human today. I’m thinking this will essentially be a bullpen game. The “starter” may depend on the first 3 in the Cards lineup. I’m totally fine with Peralta getting early innings. He’s unhittable when he’s on. If he doesn’t have good control then real short leash.

If it was setting him up to start the wild card game I don’t think he’d be voicing frustration with it.
