I was in the same boat as people thinking Peralta would be the "opener" in one of the Colorado games. If they have him throw a few innings today, he could still come back and throw in game 4. That would seem to line up well. His fastball percentage just plays too well in CO to not have him throw there.

BILL HALL??? We're probably still paying him, so why not have him do something I guess. The point of bringing back T-Plush would be to get the crowd fired up. There isn't anyone that would be fired up about seeing Bill Hall back, unless it was mother's day. I think Nyjer would be one of the most "electric" first pitch candidates you could come up with. If you want to give the crowd warm fuzzy feelings about the past, then Prince, Rickie, Yount, etc. Purely to fire up a crowd, you aren't beating T-Plush.

He came in as a defensive replacement for Aguilar last half inning after CC let him face a righty - I would've PH Shaw in that spot against Kintzler in the 8th. Missed that. Makes much more sense.

Absolutely not, I'd expect Cedeno to face Murphy after this AB barring a GIDP. I get the change now, but not to start the inning was what I was referring to.
