Good job to get through the inning with a little help from Cain. Good fastball hitting team squared up a couple fastballs, bound to happen. If he gets the call on the strike three the pitch before the homer it’s a different inning. Now get some runs!
-
Certainly can square up fastballs, where’s Suter when you need him?
-
Hader looks slightly... um... rusty...
-
Rock mentioned Nottingham not being very fast twice now. If he played TE in college wouldn’t you think he would have at least average speed?
-
Multiple MLB players have posted about how early they vote. Aguilar probably wasn’t leading these categories when ballots were sent in.
-
Do they give updated standings for this anytime before it ends Wednesday?
-
How many times do they let you vote? I've been going for 10 minutes and they haven't stopped me yet and said I've reached the max. In past years 25 per day, but I’m way over 25 and it hasn’t stopped me.
-
Asking for a challenge doesn't help when you don't have any left, lol.
-
I'm not sure the going rate, but I'd be okay with not giving 4 million a year to a 650 ops guy, but that's just me. We gave Sogard 2.4 to OPS .200 so the math actually adds up.
-
It's like that old lady knitting, once you see it you can't unsee it.
-
It seems like he's had good games when leading off. Still has the speed to cause problems on the base paths. He has more patience this year, was at one point leading the team in pitches per AB. Seems like when CC put him at the top of the order he's made things happen.
-
Probably actually safe but not clear on video, seemed like a very odd time to try to tag
-
“Does he ever swing at anything out of the zone?” No Rock, no he doesn’t, not every MLB player takes the Brewer approach
-
Thought it seemed like Guerra gets no support, so looked it up. He gets 2.81 runs per start which is 3rd lowest in all of baseball behind only Cashner and Ian Kennedy. Suter has received 5.88 per start. Crazy how it seems there’s someone like this every year. Take the under when Junior starts I guess.

Jesus hits... Jesus no run
-
Looks like a different pitcher after the mound visit. Putting everything where the glove is.
-
Man, he's missing by like 3 feet. Fastballs and breaking balls. Like he loses his grip on it.
-
First inning deficit, got em right where we want them!
-
Yea, just got out run, and now could cost him a run.
-
Get crushed today??? Thanks for letting us know. Isn't any other pitcher to use... NO... Woodruff was actually lined up, they chose Wilkerson because of the year he's having in AAA. 3 innings? No, he's stretched out as a starter. Sogard plays for Colorado Springs, lol. Don't have starting pitching depth? Anderson, Guerra, Chacin, Suter, Perralta, Davies, Miley, Nelson, Woodruff, Wilkerson... How many do we need? Depth we have.
-
Oddly Taylor Williams I would have trusted as well. He seems to put a few on often and wiggle out of it. High K rate guys I guess.
-
As said before, Jeffress was available last night, no reason he’s not tonight.
-
Wow, nice work by Jennings. Great call for CC to go to him! Figure I better back seat manage both bad and good, lol
-
Exactly....especially with Jeffress and Hader presumably available... The Braves factor in as well. Too good of an offense to play around with.
-
As the guy who's been saying all year he had no confidence in Barnes...the problem with that theory is that JB is a major league option to pitch with a 4-run lead. That's why we need April Albers back so bad. He’s been a huge loss, he adds so much depth when he’s healthy and throwing well.
