Other than Aguilar and Villar our starters have killed Taillon. This will be the first time any of the Pirate hitters have seen Perralta unless they faced him in the minors. With his deception hopefully it will take them a while to pick up his release point.

I honestly didn't believe defense would be anything more than a tie breaker for FA pitcher decisions. After following all the pitcher rumors and drama this offseason and then seeing a game like this... Man, money has to be #1 but you have to think Arrieta is not in a good place mentally with this team the past month or so.

Yellich and Shaw have the worst numbers of Brewers starters against Arrieta. Maybe part of the reason the righties are starting.

A tough righty... seems odd to me too. Maybe he has some reverse splits? Hitting Arrietta and Nola, going to be a tough series. If we get 2/3 in this series that would be impressive.
