  1. Great pitch with the change up 3-1... Follow it up with a meatball and Jesus didn't miss it!!!
  2. Gameday says rain delay at the top and injury delay in the play by play....
  3. Earlier this year I remember either Broxton or Arcia running through a stop sign and getting thrown out, as well as the Santana play. All things considered 10 outs at home plate at this point in the year is pretty tolerable. Realistically maybe 5 are on Sedar. I think the Ed Cedar hate is being overblown greatly. I don't like or dislike him, but have seen nothing to warrant the hate he gets. He's at least average in MLB.
  4. That's weird... What's the point of taking them out? Rest. Harder to get hurt in the dugout. Injury risk maybe, but how much rest are you getting? Once you go through a full game day warmup routine, batting practice, and then play 5 innings what's the difference to play the other 4....
  5. Maddon thought boy the Brewers didn't score last inning, better get another lefty in there.
  6. That's weird... What's the point of taking them out?
  7. Yeah. He is looking especially horrendous so far tonight. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk Just couldn't locate off speed early, but has thrown it for strikes to the last two batters. Was locating fastball well with some life to it. Wouldn't classify it as horrendous.
  8. Bases loaded with nobody out. That's a big punch out. Now a pitcher who doesn't hit ever.... light at the end of the tunnel
  9. Exit velocity 113 and exit velocity 32.. both hits.... gotta love baseball
  10. Thames needs to make that play. Tough catch, but needs to be an out. Never fails if you give someone a second chance they come up with a hit
  11. I keep believing this team is not really a contender, but they keep proving me wrong deeper and deeper into the season. I do however still believe they are playing for the Central at best. We just would have to add too many pieces to challenge a team like the Dodgers in a playoff series baring pitching injuries to the top of their rotation. I am truly enjoying this team, and this season, but still don't feel like we should be buyers. I'm in the camp of ride it out, or maybe bring up some internal pieces. I just don't want any future success jeopardized.
  12. Chicago is the farthest NE I've ever been. I had no idea that it was only 90 miles from Milwaukee. But to your point: Even the talking sports heads speak of the lack of coverage on Mil......and then a week later they will bring it up again, and a week later............. Going to make it up to Miller Park someday?
  13. Game might come down to which version of Jimenez shows up. He was terrible to start the year, but went 8 strong last time out.
  14. .295 I believe, actually. Definitely close to All Star caliber. So many good SS these days. Years ago I feel like it was a weakness, but now there are so many good ones and more on the way. I thought the same thing with catchers. Seems like everyone has a good young catcher. Teams really emphasizing getting good athletes up the middle.
  15. Not going to say that Suter is going to be great or ever good but if you throw strikes you get outs. Especially if you have stuff like him and are throwing pitches 10 MPH slower than what batters are used to seeing. They also have never seen him. I don't think anyone in the Baltimore lineup had an at bat against him. Given time to adjust this wouldn't be the norm, but great spot start. Keeps our BP way ahead of theirs on innings.
  16. Arcia!!! There's that whole fun to watch thing. Nothing like scoring from first on an infield single without an error. Although Ed Sedar had a slight assist.
  17. Heck of a start, but gotta keep it rolling. I don't feel like 4 runs will win this game.
  18. Crooked number here would huge with the pitchers we need to eat innings today.
  19. Arcia stays hot and Villar stays cold.... Wonder how he feels about turning down the extension now. We are getting past the point of "struggling" to start the year and into the area of you are now a bench player... and not a good one.
  20. They didn't go quite that far, but they had him at 88-89 a LOT more than 90+
