  1. Shaw with a no doubter... Right fielder never moved.
  2. The amount of time from when a ball hits Arcia's glove to when it leaves his throwing hand has to be one of the fastest in the league. So smooth he makes it fun to watch
  3. Thought the same thing. Have to advance on a ball hit that deep. If he's tagging and it ends up going off the wall he's still going to score anyways.
  4. Pina!! What a start to the year he has had. .... Might have more chances if Willy can't throw strikes.
  5. That dropped pop up added a ton of pitches to that inning.
  6. He actually does it quite a bit. You'll see it a couple times a game when he starts.
  7. Counsel probably love the batting stance. Just gotta start your hands up a little higher... Higher... A little higher.... Just a bit higher.... A little more..... PERFECT!
  8. Seems like a very long swing. Has he struck out at a high rate in the minors?
  9. Hopefully just an off night for Broxton. Would rather see him get the pt over Captain Kirk in CF the rest of the way out. Hopefully we don't see anymore of the duck and cover approach to catching fly balls that we saw last night.
  10. I actually like the move as long as Flores/Newenheius lose the time and Perez gets most of the starts in RF. Villar, Perez, and Scotter are playing well enough right now to be on the field, so I hope that's how it plays out. If he plays well and is the opening day starter next year the service time is the same anyways. If he's not ready he starts next year in AAA and you get the year back. Actually no risk here for years of control. People are over reacting to that aspect greatly. The Brewers still have control of if they lose that year or not. It's not automatically gone just because he was called up now. I'm looking forward to watching tonight and the rest of the year.
  11. Three players traded and I only seen Pina and Goforth called up. Are they playing 1 short tonight or did I miss something?
  12. He's 1 more failed drug test away from a lifetime ban. Yes he's good lately, but that has to play in a little bit
  13. ESPN reports that talks have ceased with Indians as well as Mets. As potential suitors dwindle so does the leverage for any potential return.
  14. Tonight Travis Wood pitched, hit for himself, went and played left field, and later came back in and pitched again. I don't think I've ever seen that before in the majors. If he had come out of the game completely he could not have re-entered correct?
  15. Just said on the Dodgers broadcast that Norris is expected to start in place of Kershaw who will be out for an unknown amount of time. Kershaw/Norris... Yea... Similar.
  16. I went to the menu and searched for live sports to find it. My channel 478 is called MLBNA. I didn't even know I had it. I have the 200 package and no sports add ons so it must be a normal channel.
  17. Dodgers receive RHP Bud Norris, OF Dian Toscano, PTBNL, and cash from Braves for minor league LHP Philip Pfeifer and RHP Caleb Dirks
  18. Seen it on the ticker during the game today, no return listed.
  19. A "unique" World Series trophy presentation
  20. Jersey
  21. Lineup Card
  22. Each year I take a group of my high school students on a trip to Chicago for 3 days. We looked into touring one of the ballparks as a group (We had 12 students and 2 chaperones). The cubs charge $25 for a tour and you can order tickets from their website. That was a little steep for some as not everyone was interested in MLB. I couldn't find anything listed on the White Sox site, so I called their general 1-800 number and asked about tours. We were able to set up a tour for the group, and all they asked is that we made a $5 donation to their charities per person. That I could sell even to those who weren't baseball fans. Our tour guide was a lady who worked in the organization, not a person specifically trained to give tours. That was actually really nice. Instead of the scripted stories and explanations, she took the "what do you want to see, and what do you want to know" approach. She had a great personality, asked as many questions about our kids as we asked of her, took us anywhere we wanted to go. Our kids really enjoyed it. We got to go through the press boxes, suites, owners suites, announcers booth, dugouts, field, and even the miniature replicas that are still there that they used to pitch the approval of the new field. Those included a replica of the old Comiskey Park, which was much more "square" than I ever remembered it. I don't know if you could do it as individuals, but if you can get to the area with a small group, give them a call and see if you can get it set up. It was totally worth the $5 charge. Probably not as in depth or historical as the Wrigley tours, but you can't beat the price. The owner's suite had some really unique items framed and hanging up. I'll post a few pictures I took to share.
