  1. A check swing called a strike and Herrera called out for his foot coming off the base and this is still 3-3. Talk about butterfly effect, AZ fans have to be livid.
  2. If we end up needing bench players in this game the train has come off the tracks in the 9th. Not really an issue to me.
  3. Makes it tough to watch tonight's game and still see the wads in players lips, whether it's directly responsible for his death or not. It has no place in today's game with the amount of televised games and amount of camera close ups. Feel free to kill yourself on your own time, not so much in front of kids. Sad that tobacco takes over part of the story. RIP Tony, one of the best hitters to ever play the game.
  4. Thank you first base ump... Ramirez clearly went around. There's a couple breaks we were due.
  5. Goldschmidt handled the really delayed strike three call better than most.
  6. Deep breaths... Herrera made a bad decision. That's more inexperience than ability. Willy could still end up with a quality start, he's been good enough this year to be allowed a little longer leash before I dive head first off the bandwagon.
  7. Isn't he an infielder by trade, seem to remember a diving stab at 3rd earlier this year that was pretty impressive.
  8. Pitchers with 1-9 records typically seem to give Brewers fits. Probably not statistically true, but seems like bad pitchers and pitchers making their first career starts own us.
  9. I tuned out in the bottom of the 9th & then came back with the top of the 11th in progress. The Mets' announcer said something about Germen getting a strike out before the delay & then after the delay when he struck out Gomez. I read somewhere a couple weeks ago (whenever the Kershaw @ Phi game went to a rain delay) that when an umpire calls for a rain delay that it has to last for a minimum of 30 minutes. Just curious, because of what I read, how long was the delay tonight? About 2 minutes, sent the teams to the dugouts but no tarps rolled out. Don't know if it would actually count as a rain delay. Are you sure the 30 minutes wasn't for lightning?
  10. Sure looked low and outside, but with only one position player on the bench getting tossed prolly not the greatest idea
  11. Bunt down the first base line looked like game over, there was a lot of room there.
