He's not pulling anything because he's standing a mile off the plate. Might be to protect his thumb from getting jammed, who knows. Fully believe if he moved back up on the plate he would pull balls with power.
-
AWESOME! Ball in beer cup catch. Fans are getting into the action tonight!
-
Way to open it up Scooter! Give an assist to the fan on the left field line as well. Probably an out if he's not there.
-
Dead Simmons, no catching prospects at AAA that could fill in? Cards system is raved about so much, seems odd they wouldn't have a better option than Kottaras. Although catcher isn't a position that's easy to have depth at.
-
Good lord does Yo nibble when he gets two strikes. Be aggressive and he would pitch deeper into games. Seems like he's always chasing the punch out almost to a fault.
-
When your on a slide like we have been, playing with a lead could be a huge factor.
-
With Kelly on an 85-90 pitch limit, probably going to be a lot of arms used tonight for the Cards. Big first inning in more ways than one. Keep it going Segura!

KRUSH!!!

Cardinals signed George Kottaras. You know he's gonna have a Brewer killing hit at some point this weekend.
-
Luc as professional as it gets at the plate.
-
Double steal. Wow, that's not even a thought with Molina.

Pinstripe pants, ball and glove logo tops

Wow, slow thread for how big this series is. Maybe everyone is afraid of turning the game on.

In my daughters Tball game tonight a runner held on second when there was a grounder hit to short. She was cleaning the dirt off the bag, but she still held. 7 year old girl > Logan

That and 1 pitch outs...
-
They actually going to toss the guy for it?
-
The fan reached over for sure, but to me it looks like Logan would've missed the ball by a foot. Edit: the angle from the infield actually looked like it was headed into the glove.
-
With Yo's option at 13M next year what are the odds the Brewers pick it up? Is 12 wins and a 3.80 ERA worth 13M? That seems to be a typical year for Yo.
-
Pirates playing pretty good ball lately too. Four team race for two spots will make for a fun couple months.
-
Dear Ed Sedar, Please stop doing that. Sincerely, A grumpy fan
-
Bottom of the order and two outs so I'm not against taking a chance, but that wasn't really close.

Casey McGhee helping the Crew out and tying the game in St. Louis.

2014 Draft Pick Discussion, Rounds 1-5
wildcat83 replied to 1992casey's topic in MLB Draft & International Signings
Any one know why Medeiros hasn't pitched yet, or when he is expected to? -
Anyone else think that Maldy should've caught both these games? Let Luc DH both, or DH one 1B one. Either way it gives the knees a little breather. He could've gone 3 straight days without catching without missing the bat in the lineup either game day.

Lawrie on the DL with a broken finger. Kind of wanted to see him play, not too many chances to see the Toronto on TV. Was never a big fan even when he was with the Brewers system, but always curious to see former Crew prospects.
