  1. I keep thinking Reyes doesn’t really have a shot at the opening day roster, but he just keeps getting hits.... I think Feyereisen is slowly working his way into the bullpen conversation at least. He’s throwing well.
  2. There's starting to be veterans cut like crazy to get teams under the cap. Would be a great offseason to have some cap room, there will be bargains to be had getting all of these guys back on to teams.
  3. The Arcia hate baffles me as well. Seems like everyone has penciled in Urias as the starting SS when he’s proved far less against MLB pitching than Arcia has. There’s zero chance Arcia is released. I’d guess there’s about an 80-90% chance he’s the starting SS to begin the year.
  4. Blake Griffin signing with the Nets. He’s not what he once was, but he helps the Nets, and further complicates the Bucks path to the finals.
  5. Hasn't the David Stearns playbook been good to you as a fan? I sure as heck know it has for me. He's taken resources and used them to provide some of the most thrilling baseball this franchise has seen. It doesn't have to be by the book, your book, my book, or the Cubs/Cardinals books. He finds value and puts rosters together that compete in the NL Central well and the more he does that, the better chances we have of running into one of those World Series many want to badly. Agree with this 100%. The average fan would've just signed whatever 1B and 3B that we could get, whether the value was a net positive or not. That's why Stearns is where he is, he has the ability to find value. Assemble the best team you can with what you have. This era of Brewers baseball has been drastically better than what Brewer fans have endured for decades yet people still complain. I'm excited about this Brewers team, I think they will be drastically more entertaining to watch than last year's team. Yeah, they need some things to go their way to win the division, but that's pro sports. Their possible ceiling is high enough to win the division for sure.
  6. Playing the semifinals and final on the same day is up there with the dumbest things the WIAA ever did. Watching kids gassed in the finals is brutal. It’s the biggest games of their lives and your asking kids to play 70+ minutes of high intensity basketball in a day.
  7. Arcia missed the first practice of spring getting dental work done. If we can’t hit, at least we’ll have a beautiful pearly white smile.
  8. Vogelbach is listed as #20 right now, so guessing Shaw got 21 back.
  9. Contracts aren't guaranteed in football. The Texans will probably have a cap hit, but as far as actual money going to Watt, that ship has sailed. I never realized NFL worked like that. Looking at Spotrac quick, it looks like they have 0 dead money from the deal. His signing bonus was paid out already. Makes a heck of a lot more sense from the Houston standpoint knowing that. They clear $17.5 million off their books with no dead money. In a rebuild and a year with a possibly lower cap, it makes sense. Still a pretty stand up thing to do to allow him to move on, but truly works for both sides I guess.
  10. I don't agree with this at all. Reggie White was 5 years removed from the "apex" of his career and he was 32 years old when he signed with Green Bay. I would consider White's apex to be 1986-88. That would put him at his age 25-27 seasons, and he recorded 18, 21, and 18 sacks. He signed with Green Bay at the age of 32 and his first two years in Green Bay he recorded 13 and 8 sacks. I will totally agree with the more durable argument, although in those days, guys mostly just played through injuries. However, I don't think it's accurate to say he was at the apex of his career.
  11. What are the financial ramifications of the mutual release? Are the Texans still on the hook for his guaranteed money? If so, then any deal that he signs will be for the veteran minimum. Isn't that how it works, where if he's still owed $20 million from Houston, and signed a $1 million dollar deal, then new team pays the $1 million and Houston would still owe $19 million? Maybe with the mutual release they agreed to void his contract, but I didn't think that was allowed.
  12. The only thing I find odd about this discussion is how many people talk about Hiura like he’s 5’6”. He’s not drastically under sized.
  13. Saw a report that the Packers will interview Jim Leonhard for their D coordinator position. If the Badgers are going to lose him, I guess going to the Packers would make the blow a little softer as a WI fan.
  14. I don’t even have the ability to watch games this season unless Youtube TV or some other streaming service picks up FSWI again. We are currently sitting with no true 1B or 3B. Other than that, roses!
  15. This is what you get in response if you submit a question about regional sports networks to youtube tv. I simply asked if they had any idea if the networks would be returning to their lineup in the future: We sincerely appreciate you considering YouTube TV as your online streaming service, and it's sad to hear that the recent removal of the Fox Sports Wisconsin has greatly impacted your overall YouTube TV viewing experience. We want to deliver a channel line-up that meets your needs, however, we don't have any update as to when and if it will become available on YouTube TV in the future. Rest assured we'll share information with our members ahead of time should there be any changes with the service in the future, so you’ll have all the facts. I want to be able to make the most of our interaction and make sure that your thoughts are given appropriate attention. I've passed along your feedback to our teams so they’d have a better understanding of our valued members’ situation and perspective. This was a difficult decision made after many months of negotiations. We tried to offer FOX RSNs as an optional “add-on,” but could not reach an agreement with Sinclair to do so. As a result, we cannot justify the cost Sinclair proposed for all YouTube TV members. We hope we can bring FOX RSNs back to YouTube TV in the future, though we don't have any info to share about whether that’s possible.
  16. Rodgers had 3 chances from the 8, it didn’t go well.
  17. That’s so gross. Solely on the play before halftime Petine should be fired before the end of the day.
  18. I try not to buy into conspiracy but sure looked like NFL wanted Brady in a Super Bowl
  19. That hasn’t been a call all day
  20. That sucks, rather him get the first down instead of 9
  21. Oddly works out. TB going to hand it off twice, probably have to stop one pass. If we tie it TB going to throw for the win. Now, our D maybe an easier stop
  22. Yep, right there’s the difference between 4 and 5.
  23. Holding on Lazard and hands to the face on Turner. They’re letting them play I guess.
  24. Why have we completely abandoned the run???
