  1. I know owners don’t want it for payroll, but man there’s a lot of positives for expanded rosters. Watching a guy like Devin Williams get MLB experience and not having to use a Claudio/Wahl type reliever in a 5 run game is nice. Last year Claudio is eating an inning in that game having thrown the night before, and we have less options tomorrow. Some would say high payroll teams would have an advantage but honestly the Brewers depth and creativity might actually help them balance out the Dodgers ability to give out Betts type deals. I hope rosters can stay slightly bigger moving forward.
  2. You only got 60 games, you gotta get em in. Nice win and great to have a short start and a well rested bullpen. That’s a oddity that the expanded rosters provide. Without the extra arms, key guys in the pen have to eat innings in a 5 run game.
  3. Like Wahl’s pace... keep er movin. Moustakas having a good night for Cincy.
  4. I’ll give Sogard 1 more AB before I’m done with him for the rest of the season.
  5. Threw a lot of pitches, but good to get through that trio.
  6. Bryant with a real good AB against Woody here. Making him throw a lot of pitches
  7. I was in the minority it seemed, but I hated the new unis
  8. Up 4-3 and claim we’re out of pitchers for the 9th. Smooth move! Counsel officially at 1 WAR for the year.
  9. Yep, removed any around the horn throws. Just for this season or is it a pace of play thing? No it’s a COVID change. Less ppl touching the ball.
  10. Garcia mic’d up in RF, they asked him the best stuff he’s faced this spring and he said Rasmussen last AB.
  11. Rasmussen is filthy. Hitting 98 and controlling his off speed well. That’s as good as I’ve seen all spring.
  12. The Murphy/Morrison banter was pretty entertaining.
  13. For the $60 do you get every game, or would you lose the National TV games?
  14. Are media allowed to view any team activities from the stands? Would be nice to get some sort of info of how guys are progressing.
  15. ESPN has a universal DH and that all extra innings will start with a runner on 2B.
  16. Wow seriously? He is not a defensive first shortstop. His top two grades are arm and field. How’s that not defense first?
  17. That’s what I thought too. There has to be a decent amount of 6-10 guys that pan out. Once you get past 10 it’s a crap shoot anyways. It will be real curious to see which teams sign the most of the guys projected 6-7 that just missed being drafted. My guess is this is not good for Milwaukee. We’re obviously more attractive now than in the past but you’d think big market, warm weather teams will come out ahead.
  18. MLB draft has been reduced to 5 rounds and teams can sign unlimited undrafted players for $20,000. To me 5 rounds seems really short.
  19. PFF also very down on the Packers draft. The issue they had with Love is the contacts overlap so much you can’t get the “good QB on a rookie deal” benefit even if Love pans out. They had second and third rounds as major reaches.
  20. I am ok with them trying to turn to a power running game as Rodgers gets older. It carried SF and TEN pretty far. However, I don’t see anything that suggests that this guy wouldn’t have been available in the 5th. The other issue is if your going to be a power running team, then you might want to start with the OL. I don’t believe in paying a RB, recent history shows it’s a terrible idea. Even the Zeke contract looked bad last year, when they got equal production per carry from a rookie. Maybe a guy like Barkley worth a second contact, but he’s a generational talent. If we’re using draft picks on running backs to avoid paying Jones to free up money for Clark and Bak, then I am on board. I have a sinking feeling they still pay Jones, which nullifies any financial benefit of this pick.
  21. I can’t find anything that has him projected higher than 5th round. I really am baffled at this draft. An H back/TE isn’t a position you reach for.
  22. ESPN doesn’t even have a profile for him
