  1. Seems like they settled in a little, the decision to take the ball when they won the toss still has them in a hole. That never makes sense, especially in bad weather.
  2. So much for the weather slowing down the passing game. Wisconsin will never be a real threat until they have one. They run it and defend well enough to sit in the 15-20 range most seasons. They need to evolve a little to be a true top 10 program.
  3. Why can you not advance a muffed punt? Is there a logical reason? Seems like rewarding the receiving team for not being able to catch it. Also, why are there two number 5’s for OSU? Wilson is changing to 18 to return punts because there is another 5 on the return team. They’re on the road, no way they travel enough kids to need double numbers.
  4. Ohio State and Michigan offenses both with great opening drives. Have a feeling only one of them will maintain it. This game is really hard to watch. I hate both teams, I wish they would both lose....
  5. He’s also a well below average bat at 3B. It’s the same as moving Hiura to 1B. It takes away what’s special, and that’s offensive production from a middle infielder.
  6. I really like this trade overall. I am pretty surprised by all the talk of moving Arcia. Seems odd to sell high on a guy like Grisham just to turn around and sell low on Arcia. To me you give Arcia time to up his value with a new hitting coach, and at worst he’s a solid late inning defensive replacement.
  7. He doesn’t really fit the mold the current FO has been going after, which is probably why he was traded in the first place. He’s going to hit in the .260 range, approach 200 K, and 20 E. He’s versatile and has some pop, but this was his only 20 HR season and came in a juiced ball year. I actually like Villar, but he just doesn’t fit what they’re doing.
  8. Offensively I know he was rated as a good pitch framer, but I won't miss his defensive skills overall. Seemed like a good guy and good teammate. Was fun to have him here for a year, and wish him the best with the Sox.
  9. Cheerio pisser When I read this the voice in my head was a strong English accent, and it took about 2 minutes for it to actually click. Cereal not foreign.... Don’t mean to be the Debbie Downer, but I can’t make myself like them. I wanted ball and glove back, but this just feels too retro, if that’s a thing. Maybe they’ll grow on me, if not I’ll promise to only complain about it in every other IGT next year...
  10. The barley ball and state outline logos are pretty hideous. I agree the pinstripe jersey is the best one, but I’m just not a fan overall.
  11. Is this what the Brewers live special announcement is about?
  12. Guess I never thought about it, but that’s a very good point. I can’t name something they hang their hat on. Even the players were an odd assembly of random skill sets.
  13. Maybe I'm putting too much emphasis on losing the Hauser brothers, but I had Marquette pegged as the 4th/5th best team in the Big East. I think Villanova, Seton Hall, and Xavier will finish above them, with Marquette and Georgetown as the battle for 4th. Being able to pull away in the second half made it a pretty nice win I guess, but if Wisconsin is a top 5 team in the Big 10, then it's a game they have to be able to win.
  14. I would think so. They are sure putting on a clinic tonight. Fun game to watch! Ol Mr. Momentum sure changed in a hurry. These last 7 minutes will be interesting.
  15. Defense giving up a lot of yards but good job getting a stop on 4th down. Leonard channeling his inner Pettine
  16. Good to see a big play from special teams and the passing game. Taylor running well as expected. Good first half, now put them away in the 3rd, don't let them hang around. The two drives ending with FG have kept them in the game.
  17. The more the story comes out, it was actually a Cardinals beat writer who started the accusations against Mil for sign stealing. Darvish was just replying to a Twitter post and confirmed he stepped off because of Yelich glance to left/center.
  18. Yu Darvish brought up Christian Yelich glancing out to Brewers bullpen during an AB this year, which caused Darvish to step off when he noticed it. Yelich Twitter response was priceless: “Be better than that, nobody needs help facing you”. I honestly think his glances were probably checking where the defense was aligned. Darvish being a baby and got Twitter owned. https://larrybrownsports.com/baseball/christian-yelich-yu-darvish-brewers-sign-stealing-allegation/523839
  19. Tampa Bay sure figured it out, but I don't think that's a realistic goal. Oddly Tampa has held him under 40 yards rushing and under 60 total yards of offense in both match ups this year. He's torched every other defense in the league.
  20. Only 1 game but this Badgers team looks like they are a year away from being a threat in the Big 10. Looks like a team that will make the tournament as the 5th/6th place team in the conference. Reuvers looked like he took a step forward. King with 6 points and 4 turnovers isn’t enough. I really thought he’d be a scorer in college. He’s just never lived up to it yet. Wahl looks like he needs to red shirt. Not sure how the basketball rules work with him playing tonight, but he struggled physically any time he got in traffic. For the game itself I thought it was really odd for WI to play D that last possession with only a 4 second differential. Even if you get a stop and a rebound you have to go the length of the court in about 3 seconds. Without the NBA ball advancement on a time out you need to foul there.
  21. I’m not sure Bulaga even touched Bosa on that last play.
  22. Speaking of picks... Steelers projected to get 3rd round comp pick for losing Bell. Steelers forfeit said comp pick for signing Moncrief. Steelers get said comp pick back by cutting Moncrief before week 10. Seems like a dumb loophole that teams can get bailed out for a bad signing if they have a crappy year and can cut ties with the signing. They made the choice to sign him, which also takes him off the table for the other 31 teams. Live with it and cough up the pick.
  23. I think Johnson might be broken, but even if he isn't, I am guessing the Cards would like to do something similar to the Niners/Packer/Patriots where they use two running backs and keep them fresh and get them the ball a lot out of the backfield. I totally get it schematically. Just that there isn’t much point giving up draft picks for a rental when you aren’t making the playoffs. Sign someone off the street to fill in for a week or two. Maybe if they extend him it makes some sense, or possibly just want to keep some talent around a rookie QB just to help his development. Just seemed like an odd team to give away picks for rentals.
  24. Facebook message the guys who have accounts. Quick search shows most have an account. Greg Hansell's last Facebook post ironically says he's cleaning his garage and asks if anyone needs any household items, pictures, etc... lol. Respond to the post..
  25. I can not understand why the Cards would give up a pick for Drake, who’s on an expiring deal. They have Johnson signed long term.
