  1. ALL of the ads for the sponsors of the Brewers' telecasts need to be upgraded. They repeat them ad nauseum and some of them are from last year.
  2. I won't be there until Saturday and I don't have a phone that is able to video tape anything. I hope it isn't raining and/or cold...
  3. I'll be surprised if he isn't. The only others who could be are either Anderson or Thames and I doubt they will be tabbed and nobody on our roster is anywhere close vote wise.
  4. Brinson was in the dugout at Miller Park yesterday and pinch hit. I think he struck out.
  5. In southwest FL we get all the Marlin games and they are pretty brutal this year. I don't think they are gonna help us much by beating the scrubs.
  6. What I don't understand is we have the same number of losses and 3 more wins yet they show the Cubs only a game and a half behind and not 3. Is that because we have played more games than they have?
  7. Not to be snarky but… Broxton currently has a 7 game hit streak. In his last 10 games he is .333 (9-27) with a .400 OBP, 4 HRs, 11 RBIs. Brinson, meanwhile, has been outhit by Nick Franklin since he has been here. I’m guessing those are two of the reasons. I know we need to give Brinson his chances to figure things out … but we are also a first place team closing out June and need to win games. Broxton (surprise!) still doesn’t have 162 career games under his belt … so as much as we need to give Brinson a chance, we need to do the same with Broxton. Still a possibility that Keon is our CF of the future and not Brinson. I believe Brinson belongs back in the minors for now. He needs to play and he isn't enough with the big club. I suspect he'll go back down once Braun returns.
  8. Did I hear correctly that Braun and Villar are going to be playing with the T-Rats in Appleton this weekend? Yes they are! Great! I will be there on Saturday singing the National Anthem with my old Sweet Adelines chorus -> Fox Valley. I hope they both play!
  9. Did I hear correctly that Braun and Villar are going to be playing with the T-Rats in Appleton this weekend?
  10. Why would the Rangers make this trade when they know if they are patient Stearns will most likely DFA him sooner rather than later? I doubt there are many teams waiting breathlessly for Peralta to be released.
  11. I'll trade you for the 34 Skip & Shannon promos that I have to watch on the Fox Sports Go app. A lot of the commercials on Fox Sports Wisconsin are from last year.
  12. Its always fun when the Cubs lose. Today only the Pirates won.
  13. Taking a series against the Cards after they have been dominating us for too long felt really good!
  14. The Brewers would be foolish not to check out the market for Knebel in a month +. My guess is we won’t get a “blown away” offer that it would take to deal him, but relievers are so up and down. He is our best trade chip right now and the price tag should be extremely high given our position in the division – but the conversations should absolutely take place. But if we are still in first place or close to it in a month's time do we really want to trade Knebel? Good closers don't grow on trees.
  15. Yes, but I was bummed we gave up Haniger and Banda for a mediocre veteran like Parra. Still seems to have worked out overall Parra was one of my hubby's favorite players and we both were disappointed to see him go at that time.
  16. I didn't mind Yuni B. when they got him. We needed someone to (try to) play shortstop and he didn't need to be great at it. He was supposed to be a stop gap and nothing more. The tradeoff was worth it as the 96 wins proved. Hell he even played ok in the post season. My only real problem with the Melvin was when he brought Yuni back the next season. Yes. We kept Weeks around far too long also.
  17. I've been voting too online. I'm about half way done.
  18. The only real disappointing inning last night was when we loaded the bases but could scratch across only one run. They say you never want the first out at home but the first 2?? Thankfully we came thru in the end.
  19. I'm happy for you. Count your blessings. 60 years ago my brother-in-law was born with a hole in his heart. Back then they didn't do heart surgery on infants. He had to wait until he was older. Unfortunately for him he never found a transplant match before he died a couple of years ago. I wonder, had he been born today he might have surgery as an infant and perhaps his heart wouldn't have been giving him problems the last dozen years of his life
  20. Fans don't vote for pitchers so that won't make a difference for Knebel. And Shaw was a Red Sox last year and made some noise to start the season so he has notoriety. Yes, Knebel might make it as a reliever named by the NL manager. I just checked the lastest All-Star vote update from a couple of days ago and not one Brewer is listed in the top 5 or top 15 outfielders. Shaw is not anywhere near there. Nor is Thames. One nice thing is if the voting ended today the NL starters wouldn't resemble the Cubs' starting lineup again this year. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/235916380/national-league-all-star-voting-update/
