  1. I think FG’s are underrated. I've always been a proponent of taking the points when they are there, especially on the road. We are a much better team with a lead than not.
  2. I'm encouraged because I'm seeing improvement in this D every week and they should be even better getting Z back.
  3. Yes. I'm glad King was sick and stayed home...
  4. Easier? Lately we've had nightmares playing those guys so this win was indeed sweet. Our banged up OL kept Bosa in check a lot of the time, AR got the ball out quick and Davante was clutch even after getting the wind knocked out of him. The Steelers appear to be a mess so we have a good chance at being 3-1 after next weekend if we keep playing like this.
  5. Someone on another Packers forum last night said Amos tripped the QB was while he was being held.
  6. I thought all those young guys on the OL played great last night.
  7. IMO the NFL needs targeting just like the NCAA.
  8. I thought it was the right call. Didn’t like the outcome obviously, but when it looked like it may have popped loose, it went right back toward the receiver’s chest. The call could have gone either way. I suspect if they had called in incomplete and SF challenged that would stand too.
  9. It probably wasn't for him.
  10. That officiating crew left something to be desired big time last night.
  11. We could have used those 3 points at the end of the game so I wouldn't need to reach for my pepto...
  12. Laur was a WR? Wow. I guess I don't want him to get hurt running the bases out there.
  13. We needed insurance runs, and having Barrel Man on the bases was probably not conducive to that.
  14. Because Vogey is the slowest player in all of baseball I understand why CC had a pitch runner for Vogey but why Lauer instead of a position player?
  15. Yes, every team goes thru times like this but you sure as heck don't want to be playing poorly at the end of September.
  16. Looking at splits is fine. But, with 9 games left in the season and a couple of wins desperately needed, season long splits might not be the best thing to go on. Yelich hasn’t been hitting anyone for the last few weeks, while Taylor hit 2 HRs today against one of the best RHP in the league. It pains me to turn on Yelich because of what he has done for the team and the community in his time here. I really hope he can find his stroke again, though that probably won’t be this season. It’s no time for sentiment. You have to play the players who you think give you the best chance to score runs and win. Poor Yelich has been struggling for almost 2 seasons. Right now CC should be putting his most productive players out there no matter how big their contract is. I hope I'm wrong but I fear Yelich may never return to his MVP form again.
  17. I am. We will most win this division but what good is that if we are limping into the playoffs playing crappy baseball? Some here say this isn't something to be concerned about. However, the margin between winning and losing is very slim so momentum isn't something we should just dismiss out of hand.
  18. Even tho Yelich is one of the cornerstones we brought in to build the team around he should sit if others are producing. He is hitting like a pitcher and this has been going on since he returned from his broken his kneecap. This isn't your garden variety "slump" here. I don't know if it is between his ears or not but his poor offensive production will be an albatross if we continue to trot him out there come playoff time.
  19. The Chase to 92...
  20. [sarcasm]Cheers to the Milwaukee Brewers, the NL's second wildcard team in 2021.[/sarcasm]
  21. It is absolutely nauseating to get swept by that freaking bunch AT HOME with the division on the line. With the way we are playing even if we win the division we won't go very far. It was a nice season but that just doesn't cut it for me any longer. It feels like we are the Washington Generals of MLB.
  22. I would rather be playing like those stinkin' Cardinals are right now with the playoffs right around the corner than how we are the past week.
