  1. Reds actually may fight their way into the playoffs. Going to be a game back with the tiebreaker.
  2. Santillan comes up with a clutch hold though.
  3. Reds waited way too long to go to the good part of their bullpen
  4. There we go. Think that DP sparks us to a win tonight.
  5. tough play for sure but Turang could have picked that if he read it better.
  6. Or we can just appreciate a hell of a catch. That was an incredible play, it's fine to be impressed.
  7. Feel like Jackson is scuffling a bit, hopefully he can put a good AB together.
  8. Ortiz is so damn good at short. I know he can be frustrating at the plate but man, appreciate what we have out there.
  9. Brewerfan - I was thinking more for the NLCS. Quintana could be a factor too but not sure he’ll be stretched out.
  10. So with Murphy saying Mis won’t start in the playoffs and will come out of the pen, who do we think the fourth starter is? Gasser and Patrick auditioning this week? Maybe piggyback them?
  11. Agreed. Wrap up the division (and hopefully the one seed) and then get guys the at bats.
  12. The Brewers announcing TBA along with Murph’s quote about him being back soon makes me think it’s definitely Gasser. Wouldn’t announce him until he’s on the active roster. Other option could be piggyback him with Patrick Saturday.
  13. Yeah I’d welcome Fedde back next year in a mop up/long inning low leverage role. I’m done with Payamps.
  14. Soriano is weird. If you look at his game log he either gives up a TON or runs or goes 6-8 excellent innings. Not much in between.
  15. Not sure if this was mentioned in the thread, but did anyone else see Contreras firing the ball back at Freddy any time he made a couple of bad pitches in a row?
  16. I'd be shocked if he came up this year. Would be cool if they gave him the backup job next year though and let Contreras DH 40-50 games.
  17. Ortiz is so much better defensively I think they are going to keep him in there. Mona made some nice plays while he was out but you could tell the defense just didn't operate like they wanted it to. I like Durbin, but I wouldn't mind giving some of his starts to Monasterio.
  18. The Mariners are 29-23 since the break. That's good! Meanwhile, the Brewers are 34-18 since the break, which is the best record in the MLB.
  19. Eh, it shouldn’t but it kind of does. If Skenes maintains his numbers and Peralta gets down to a 2.30 ERA and wins 19 games, I could see a lot of votes start to swing his way.
  20. I say yes. We'll know more after this weekend in Pittsburgh though. Cubs have the Nats at home, and the Pirates are hot. series wins over St. Louis, Toronto, Boston, and a sweep of the Dodgers since they left Milwaukee.
  21. If they use it as an opportunity to see if Gasser can be a playoff piece then worse things have happened.
