Just this year or next year too? Honestly not sure he ever gets the control to get guys out multiple times through the order and the arm angle to lefties will be mitigated by teams stacking their lineups with righties. I said in the transactions forum that I'd be willing to include him in a deal. I haven't really seen anything that makes me think anything other than reliever. Wonder if they will try the Andrew Miller Route -

If your thinking Marcum trade value, that will come over winter. Teams always pay/want more during season BA had Lawrie #40 after the 2010 season - Value during the season would be equivalent to Ray/Ortiz or Brinson straight up

Would feel so much better if the A's wanted Clark instead of Phillips - I dont see Phillips being a starter, but a very reliable 4th OF that can play all 3 OF sports - Would rather start 2019 with Brinson/Ray/Santana in the OF

The Marlins would take that deal in less than a heartbeat. Unless the Marlins eat about $100M of that contract, they aren't getting anywhere close to that return. This isn't fantasy baseball fellas. lol Not sure if serious

Since Villar is sucking and striking out a ton (20 K's in 14 July games) OP under .300 - Should we look at someone else leading off? I know Sogard will most likely get the leadoff spot when he returns, but i'd rather not flip between him and Villar and just have one guy there that will play everyday.

Nice thought but with the Rays only 2 games back in the AL EAST, I don't think he'd be on the block. Thinking was they could bring up Honeywell then - Broxton for Cobb - We bring up Brinson -
