  1. Really, Anyone with an open mind can see the Brewers don't have a good pitching stuff and they should not be still in the Playoff race and that It's Counsell Outstanding management of what he has as the only reason they are still are in it.
  2. It's not that although from a fan's view point it can look like that. heres a real good article on what they are trying to do. https://prospects365.com/2019/08/04/new-age-hitting/ It's about doing Damage and they are finding they can do more damage the harder the ball is hit and it's not just Home Runs more Doubles fall in by hitting the ball hard and simply put that's not going away for the simple fact It's working.
  3. Home Runs are up so much that I find if a player is hitting a far number of Home Runs with a good batting average and gets some Stolen Bases. People act like they are the next great thing and they might be in some cases but who knows how many will be. So yes, It could be. You can't rule it out.
  4. Yelich - Is a lock now Moustakas - Should be a Lock Grandal - is likely to be picked for there isn't many better catchers in the league Hader - Clearly a lock Woodruff - Could but can't say it's a lock Davies - Had a hot start to the season but he has had too many bad starts and isn't getting enough strike outs to even have a chance
  5. Throwing a No Hitter is about making the plays without allowing a Hit and what the hitter does don't mather because does the pitcher deserve a no hitter if the bunt would work.

  7. Will they sign Vinny Rottino to back him up?
  8. Fangraphs is pretty good at projections from the view point of no player has a break out ever and the one that did last year that's nothing more then a fluke. They try to put them all in a neat little box where no player will hit more then 40 Home Runs or have 40 Stolen Bases. Where no player hits much better then .300. Although there are many that do every year but for the players that do fit within the box those positions can be some what good in most cases. But overall it's a usefull website if you understand they can be a bit flowed and if you question what don't make sense.
  9. They also clinched a playoff berth at St. Louis. So they got to dance on the field and spray beer all over the locker rooms of both Wrigley Field and Busch Stadium. Yeah, That's Miller beer all over Busch Stadium.
  10. In the history of the the game there has been thousands of so so pitchers that almost pitches perfect games and a rear few that do and after every one of them people over react to them and pick them up in fantasy leagues to only cut them a week later. He's not the first one to do it and he's far from the last one but you know he desolves a little credit so good for him.
  11. No Question. A Rookie Pitcher that needs Tommy John that can Hit 18 Home Runs clearly should be the Rookie of the Year
  12. Truth? Truth will always win the argument because it's the truth. And everyone should know if you have too throw around insults to make your point then your argument is not back by the truth. and going there tells everyone you have lost the argument. So no need to go there.
  13. They are very small Sample size and they most likely offer very little value. However, If the both Hitter and Pitcher have been in the league for 4 or 5 years and there have been 20 to 30 Matchups between them then there is enough sample size there to put some faith into it. But remember you could have a .270 Lifetime hitter that could be have a lifetime 1 for 8 againt a given pitcher and in terms of numbers the next time they matchup it would be in favor of the Hitter because he would be below Average and would be due to get a hit.
  14. We should put this in play when the Cubs come to Town. https://www.mlb.com/cut4/giants-fans-will-get-a-discount-on-parking-at-oakland-coliseum-if-they-yell-go-as/c-269571806
  15. Why target Collin McHugh when you can target the other guy houston don't have room for. Brad Peacock?
  16. The Fine line between a pitcher being undervalue and overvalued is a thin one. A pitcher that can put up a good ERA and WHIP but not a great one that could put up a strike out per inning tend to be undervalued. How ever they can regress and not really get good for the first 4 or 5 years and if that happens then they clearly are overvalued. For Woodruff ? It's too early to say what road he's going to go down.
  17. I'm thrilled with the deal and everyone should be too. Brinson is good but there is a real risk of being a but here and you should be fine giving him for a major star in Yelich. Diaz is a Home Run hitter that can't hit. you can easily replace that anywhere. Harrison might be the same as Diaz but could be better although I wouldn't say he's proven it yet. Yamamoto can't be call anymore then a wild card right now. He may work out for them or he may not. So it's one I can accept.
  18. They've abused them Doesn't help that they can't throw a slider thanks to the slippery baseballs... Or Catch them.
  19. A thought about the league trying to speed up the games. Well Tonight's Game feels like whatever they are doing isn't working.
  20. staffing isn't a problem. I got it from one of the gate chefs that friday night they where over staff and that they had people standing around doing nothing for there was nothing for them to do. concession stands they are fully stuffed too. I here they bring in a bunch of people from St Louis. So basicly they could sell the whole stadium out tomorrow and they have the staff to handle it and the only thing stopping them from doing it is people buying the tickets.
  21. Closing out at Home playing Detroit. That's old. I know someone has to do the American League and National League series to close out the season but it's still odd to see on the schedule.
  22. Yeah, I don't disagree but the thing is that sheets was always talking about he goal was getting the out before the 3rd strike to keep the pitch count down to get deeper in the game. Of course he was pretty good at getting the 3rd strike if it got to the 2nd strike. I'm just saying it is interesting that he is at #1 because he never tried to be a strike out pitcher even though he did get them when he needed them.
  23. And Ben Sheets being #1. Who never clammed to be a strike out pitcher.
  24. Sweet, Knebel saves nelson start with Pina catching to make the tittle of this topic come true.
  25. Why ?????
