  1. Sounds like a trendy take, but in reality I am not sure that really is how it should be viewed. Even if Giannis wins it, it was one time and the only time he (so far) has made the finals. If the asset rich team makes it 9/10 years, but the Giannis type team does it one year...does it really disprove moving to asset rich teams wins championships? The Bucks barely squirted by a banged up Nets team. Not taking anything away from this run, my point is just that it makes me skeptical teams like this can actually win more often. Until it is done more consistently it more feels like an exception to the rule versus some kind of ground breaking success for the peasant teams. I hope the playing field can level out. I think the Bucks winning would be great for the NBA. I was excited for this finals because you have a Bucks team that isn't loaded with multiple world superstars and a Suns team that is a phenomenally young homegrown team. It feels like two teams that built incredible rosters without having a LeBron/Durant recruit help to make it what it is.
  2. Holiday/Giannis/Middleton all showing up in the same game? What a beautiful sight.
  3. His FTs are so pathetic those kind of rebounds are sadly/thankfully pretty common.
  4. Mitchell would be apart of the trade, 100%. Past that, tough to say. Maybe Mitchell, Feliciano, Turang, Ashby. That’s probably be fairly close. My first though is it would be pretty hard to match up without another really good prospect to go with Mitchell.
  5. you think people watch he game to hear what the mic'd up players have to say? if that is true, I find that to be sad. What else do you watch it for?
  6. Originally I was worried about a game coming down to the wire and Giannis missing a FT. Now I am worried that the game is going to come down to the wire and Giannis is going to need to tinkle.
  7. Sir, Brandon Woodruff didn't even pitch. Freddy Peralta threw 12 pitches, something he would have done between starts anyway. Not sure this has much of anything to do with their appearance at the AS Game.
  8. Urias play: That isn't blocking the plate...the throw took him into the baseline. You may disagree, but that is exactly how that want that called. Realmuto play: This one is a bit more debatable. However my problem with it is the throw doesn't come through. So we all have zero idea where that ball was going to end up. The way he slid makes me believe he was more concerned about stopping the ball from ending up at the backstop and the runner at first going all the way to third. The other problem is the rule has never really faulted catchers that sort of start blocking the plate right as the ball comes in. The rule works exactly as it should. The catcher collision got reduced to basically zero and no one complains. Runner or the coaches don't complain, perfect. Early on they did call plays similar to the Urias one blocking, but all it caused was confusion/drama. The rule was to reduce collisions at home, not try to dissect blocking at the plate in slow motions for 5 minutes. Take that Isan Diaz play for example. That was arguably the right call by the definition of the book, yet everyone cried about it for a week saying it was dumb to call even if right. That Urias play is the exact same way. If that would have been called blocking the plate it would have been equally as dumb.
  9. I think Gallo would look like the gold glover of the century compared to Vogelbach/Hiura. Exaggerating, but I don't think he would be bad at all. I don't think his move off of first was due to poor defense.
  10. Guessing part of the problem is national TV wants to ask click baity type stuff like Bryant possibly being traded. I have seen it in ST and it usually is way better because the aren't trying to ask the "tough questions". It is just like the annoying dugout interviews for national televised games. They ask dumb stuff you'd expect in a post game presser.
  11. The Brewers went to LED lights coming into this year, at least that was the plan.
  12. It isn't all about the literal length of a game. Part of it is how long it feels. Some of the things Manfred has done have definitely helped that. Watching a game can already feel like a drag....but when you are throwing 4 pitches just to walk a guy or you get 3 mound visits in one AB that two minutes feels like an hour. It is like the throws over to first. It may not waste much time, but it sure does annoy people and make them think it is taking forever. Add a few of these mini, but incredibly frustrating delays, and people get pretty annoyed. They aren't going to make a baseball game take 2 hours. However, they can do things to make it feel like the actual three hours it is instead of feeling like an eternity.
  13. Crowder had the highest +/- for the Suns in Game 1 at +19 33 minutes 0-8 FG 0-5 3PT 1-2 FT 9 REB 2 TO ONE POINT That stat makes no sense to me, at all.
  14. 17 offensive rebounds compared to 5 and 5 turnovers compared to 17. That is the game right there. One of those games you are glad you won and hope you never play that poorly again because you probably aren't going to get that lucky again. That being said it leaves me pretty confident they can defend their home court and will have the two remaining shots to win a game in Phoenix.
  15. Come on Giannis, why follow up something good with something so trash?
  16. It's physically exhausting to just watch him sweat. One time he went to the line and was shooting them with Niagara Falls running down his face.
  17. Outside of Game 7s this situation always feels about as defining for a series as possible. Lose and you are down a dismal 3-1 and need an absolute miracle. Win and you have a new series, best of 3.
  18. Not saying it is my opinion, but the mic'd players are usually well liked and a big reason why people even watch the AS Game.
  19. For now they are at the mercy of whatever happens, can't really make any changes. If you tried to get him to do it in 5 seconds right now he would probably miss 3/4. In the offseason I imagine they will try to get him onto a speed in which doesn't create excessive fan counting etc. and he has zero chance of getting a violation. In basketball it seems incredibly important to not do anything that gets the opposing fans into the game and unfortunately Giannis created a little bit of a monster against himself.
  20. Perhaps if he IS willing to be here, it's because that he too likes what he's seen out of Love in practices? I mean, if you think that would really sway him to stay or leave. I mean on the flip side maybe this is only happening because Adams knows from Rodgers that he is coming back. Guessing it is the fact money is money. NFL players love to talk about winning, but lets be honest...they follow the money truck.
  21. Davante Adams probably does not really want to be here if Rodgers is gone or at least not very excited about the idea...but he probably wants tens of millions of dollars more than caring who throws him the ball.
  22. Somehow I would find Stephen A. Smith an even bigger piece of garbage if it was scripted and said it anyway. For all the time he spends speaking out on social issues, it would be pretty gross for him to say that stuff even though he knew it was wrong. That being said I’m not sure that was really the case. Was he baited into the topic by producers knowing he’d say something dumb? Maybe. I don’t think the show is as scripted as people make it out to be. Smith knows being ridiculous is apart of his thing and why he makes money…but past that I am not sure how much he is really told what to say.
  23. Length of the games is a problem, but making pitchers pitch faster etc. to save a few minutes ain't going to cut it. Out side of going to 7 inning games it is what it is, extremely boring to watch. That and automatic strikeout after 5 strikes in an AB...because sorry, long ABs are boring. I fully realize that would never happen. Those 7 inning games don't feel like a drag regardless of what happens. I hate the idea, but honestly I bet I would enjoy it more and watch more games. You could get your home games done at around 9pm instead of past 10pm. Probably would find it a little less boring if it wasn't 10pm and still 30mins plus to go. I am to the point where I am rarely turning the game on TV because it feels pointless when I know I won't even catch the last 2-3 innings anyway.
  24. Is he watching at home cause he got banned from in person attendance? Also had to laugh when the article stated he once got into a shouting match with another players mom, LOL. https://www.yahoo.com/news/lebron-james-went-coach-james-234643444.html
  25. I figure there is a good chance the Brewers will decline the option and not completely close the door. $10mil is a big chunk of money to be dropping on a very average player before FA even starts. They could always circle back after FA heats up and grab him if they want. If we decline his option and then lose out on him are we really going to be that heartbroken? We can find an average corner OFer well into FA if we need one.
