  1. He had a 1.500 OPS last year at this time. I mean...this is just silly to ponder already. lol
  2. This new parking really is too difficult for them to understand.
  3. Sounds nice in retrospect, but what exactly does this do? Kinda nothing.
  4. Fast forward to his FA and I am guessing baseball inflation would have him at $150mil...minimum. Plus a good $30mil or so through arby. He is going to have one heck of a lengthy resume going into arby. If he was going to sign an extension or get offered one...I think that would have happened by now. After 2024 he will already be set for life. The one knock on him before we got him was the fact he had never proven himself over a full season...well, that isn't a concern after 2023. Only way it really makes sense for either side is if we give him a giant 8+ year deal. I really don't see him signing a deal to awkwardly hit FA at 32-33 years old. That makes all the sense for the Brewers, none for him.
  5. Absolutely not. Someone else can pay him in his 30s.
  6. Brewers are reverting back to the old way of parking for the time being, starting April 3rd. Also, they aren’t trying to make it as easy as possible for you…they want to maximize profits. You can overdramatize it if you will…but it’s really not that complicated of a process to do. If you choose to make your life complicated in the year 2024 with a broken phone…well, I don’t know why you are blaming the Brewers for your choices. The least shocking part of your post was the end where you said you would never go to AmFam anyway. I mean, of course you’d have such a heartfelt opinion about parking at a place you are never going.
  7. Less than half a decade ago, 7 states required a six-figure income to afford a house. That number is now 22 states. The median priced home in America requires a salary of approx. $110k to buy. That gets much worse when those figures assume you can put down 20%. $85k if you are wondering, up $20k since 2020. In these 22 states, you need a six-figure income to afford a typical home, analysis finds (msn.com)
  8. There was a post about her popularity and NIL money if she had the talent she does and looked like some other player. I can't recall who it was, but think Cavender twins. Sad, but true. I don't know....I don't care about Clark and women's basketball either way. It quite frankly is pretty insufferable to watch. Sometimes I think the hoop for women's basketball should be lowered and it might help make the shots/layups easier.
  9. I wouldn’t mind that, if it ended up a good game, but I’d be nervous that would turn into a bit of a joke final. There have been too many of those in recent year.
  10. A nice set of Final Four teams. Goliath, Edey, Bama has been elite for a few years, and NC State is a nice Cinderella from a P5 conference. I’d prefer an Alabama and UConn ‘ship…but obviously that can’t happen. Please no NC State, give me UConn and Purdue.
  11. The rule leaves a bit of a gray area because McNeil was already at the bag for a while…thus, was just standing there. Why that matters is because when Hoskins comes barreling in he uses McNeil as a backstop. The only reason the slide is legal is because Hoskins used the defender to slow himself down and be able to keep contact with the bag. Had McNeil had time to jump, Hoskins is sailing over the bag and it’s going to be called an illegal slide. If the sheer reason you stayed on the bag is because you barreled into the defender, should that really make it legal? The rule is in place to help protect infielders…yet Hoskins is dealing great injury risk to the infielder to make it a ‘legal slide’. It is kinda bending the rule and being legal due to a technicality.
  12. Tough for Marquette to blow being a #2 two seasons in a row…and honestly I thought they were a pretty strong #2 both times. To lose to the #11 on top of it, oof. Shaka and Marquette both ended their long Sweet 16 droughts…but that will hardly feel like a success story going into the offseason.
  13. Yah, probably to his knee…bet he won’t be laughing then.
  14. That was so obviously intentional and he was laughing as he trotted off. And well, he also confirmed it after the game.
  15. It’s a complete douchebag slide that doesn't happen anymore. As such, these players cover second expecting players to not make douchebag slides. It’s incredibly dangerous when a dude decides to do it these days
  16. Or when the pitcher is t exactly throwing it near the plate often. Forcing Hoskins to swing at pitches a foot off the plate isn’t going to be beneficial. Might as well do a straight steal.
  17. Couldn’t go a day without complaining about people complaining about the lineup.
  18. Going before the Brewers give you 162+ tests to your heart, good idea
  19. Record: 76-86 (3rd NL Central) MVP: Yelich (crowded field of good, but not great players) Cy Young: Peralta (who else, honestly?) ROY: Chourio (honestly, who else?) Top Newcomer: Chourio (he counts, yes) All Star(s): Contreras Breakout Player(s): Frelick Disappointment(s): Chourio Bold Prediction(s): Someone signs a long extension during the season. Peralta starts 25+ games
  20. Dang, I should have picked that reward. 😅 Considering it came from Bailly, it was probably directed at those customers.
  21. Not necessarily. Players can definitely not struggle in the minors and then discover those issues when they don't have lesser talent to shield those struggles. Hiura is a bit of an odd case, but he went from destroying LHP in the minors (as expected) to struggling mightily in the majors. Whatever the struggle may or may not be...how that shakes out come the MLB level is a bit of a crapshoot. His performance in the minors isn't necessarily any better of a reflection of his future performance. Weeks was a batting average guru, never happened at the MLB level. Frelick is much the same...he may never hit for a high average. Hiura in A+ and AA in 2018. Hiura MLB Splits (career) Now this is getting a bit off topic, because in the grand scheme, I am not really agreeing with him on the bench against LHP. I would have started him and given him a chance to play against LHP every day.
