  1. Kind of defeats the purpose of what being season ticket holder is though. A family of 5 could go to four games and get all the perks. The interface they are using to do ticket sales is kind of annoying this year though. It was game changing years ago when they finally let you pick where you were going to sit...not this "surprise, here is your random spot in the field bleachers'. It causes me to go in and out 500 times hoping for a location in the section that is more favorable. As far as availability...field level in the infield and club level are pretty skimpy on options. Not surprising as most season seat holders flock to these areas. No shame, I am going to love sitting away from random people. No person halfway into my seat, dump beer on me, or using the arm rest the entire game.

    Pizza

Buy one of those TV dinners...it tastes pretty close even getting the soggy and chewy texture. What TV dinners are you talking about? I see someone said totinos below but I have had their pizza rolls and it's hard to believe it's not garbage. I loved school cafeteria pizza and can still remember the taste but never found anything like it. This is what I was thinking of. It always gave me that giant sheet pizza from school vibe. Not sure if they still make this style anymore as it has been a loooong time since I had one. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=TdRV3SVo&id=0A4F055A15883AE9661D1090D4C674D9B1090978&thid=OIP.TdRV3SVoSYDW62CdRml1FgHaFR&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fimages.wisegeek.com%2ffrozen-dinner-with-pizza-and-corn.jpg&exph=713&expw=1000&q=frozen+tv+dinner+pizza&simid=608051692827321774&ck=BFBC9B5B0008D68A9B088FABD6684670&selectedIndex=2&FORM=IRPRST&ajaxhist=0 On another note I had Sam's Pizza in Wausau the other day, top notch pizza. Saltine cracker type crust and the toppings (namely the sausage) was stellar...loved the sauce too. Easily the best I have ever had in the area. I should not be surprised though. Any place that looks like it is about to fall down and looks like it is in a dismal part of town always seems to have the best pizza. Wells Brothers in Racine gives the same vibe and has incredible pizza.
  3. The Packers rotate RBs more than most teams due to their usage in the passing game, and Jones' small stature to keep him fresh. It's not the old days of a 25-carry one horse RB show. Dillon will be a huge part of the offense this year. Sure, but you can get a complement RB in the 4th-5th rounds if that is really what one is after. Dillon may be good, but it isn't an efficient use of resources at face value. We will see what his role ends up being. Considering his draft position he better create a two-headed monster in the backfield and not be a complement RB. I am guessing they drafted Love in part due to Rodgers age and possible decline. They also probably drafted Dillon with low expectations of Aaron Jones coming back on a team friendly deal. Unfortunate in retrospect, but I guess I am not complaining Rodgers ended up the MVP and Jones came back cheaper than one would have thought. If we are going to have unexpected problems this isn't a bad one to have.
  4. I am okay with bringing back Aaron Jones because it seems like we got a pretty good deal. Had we paid market price or gotten into a bidding war...no thanks. However, it is frustrating that the top two picks we had last year did very little their first year and even this year both will have minimal impact. Not to say Dillon won't play a bigger role, but a 2nd round RB should be a real good starter...not a 2nd stringer. Of course it is easy to go into the past and look at who they could have drafted. Reality is their second option at each pick might have been an even worse player in the end. Of course at least we did something useful for Rodgers to help keep an elite offense intact.
  5. Ryan Braun should be the bench coach. Braun/Counsell duo.
  6. Imagine have your significant other walking by as you accidently send someone a kissing emoji.
  7. I would assume they are going to crack down on it if someone with a 1-2 ticket account starts buying 4-6 tickets for a bunch of games just to have them sold on stubhub. You could make an insane profit, that would not be a good look for anyone.
  8. UNC isn't a great match up, but UNC isn't a great team. They probably aren't going to win in the paint so they will have to win the perimeter game in my opinion. Baylor is the best #1 team to draw (if they can beat UNC first) in my opinion. They aren't what they were for most of the season. If I was a Badgers fan I would want to face Baylor over just about any #2 seed to be honest. I wouldn't be optimistic Wisconsin could win any game because they just haven't played well. I would say their veteran experience would be huge in March, but the entire season it hasn't benefitted them much...so not sure that will be an advantage they can actually utilize. That being said it is still March and anything can happen. The Badgers have played elite teams all year and while they never really won any of them they have the experience facing those kind of teams. Winning a 9v8 match up isn't that hard and I have a hard time seeing Baylor not getting upset before the Elite 8. I really wouldn't not be that shocked if the Badgers can make a run. I don't think they are a Top 16 team or anywhere near it, but many teams that aren't that good find themselves in the Sweet 16.
  9. Yah, we could play that game with any player. Everyone has near misses and sometimes you get lucky. Of those three doubles, one should have been caught. It makes an interesting article piece, but not totally meaningful. You could make an article on how Shaw is going to be a terrible pick up and point all the times he got lucky last year. That being said I think Shaw will be a fine pick up. He could hit to his 95 OPS+ like he had last year and I won't really be complaining. I think he has a .750+ OPS though. Maybe optimistic, but I like a Shaw rebound.
  10. When does the 20-game ticket holder pre-sale start? The 10-game pre-sale starts 3/18. 3/17 is 20-game holders (and 40 game holders). Full season seat holders are 3/16, but my rep said pretty much all full season seat holders just accepted their new location. Not sure opening day will make it that far unless they hold some back to give out on that pre sale date. I am sure it will be just like postseason tickets and people will buy the max to flip on Stubhub and just not go. I think you can sell tickets on Stubhub, but you must sell the entire pod...so maybe that will cut down on Stubhub flipping as you would be left with no tickets. Shall be interesting to see if they punish people for selling their tickets like they did in 2018 for the postseason.
  11. Jeez, at least look like you want to win. Pretty sad when a group of senior blows an inbounds pass like that...and I am pretty sure they had a timeout to call if they needed to. As lifeless and sleepy the players looked Gard really dropped the ball if he could have called a timeout. I don't care if it is your last timeout, it was pretty obvious the team had zero awareness on what they were doing. Once you turn it over there you have pretty much blown your last decent chance at winning the game. Gard just couldn't get any life out of them at the end of that game and that was pretty sad. Davison and Potter often times look like the only guys who want to win a game.
  12. For anyone curious I contacted my rep and it sounds like he wasn't overly concerned about the availability for opening day tickets for 20-game holders in the pre-sales. Sounds like if you want them and log in when the sale starts you should be able to get something. He also confirmed that there will be opening day tickets kept to be available during the public pre-sale, not many, but some. Kind of the same concept as leaving some tickets to give out at the artic tailgate even though it is already sold out at that point.

    Pizza

I would eat 30 day old school pizza out of a dumpster before I would eat totinos. Totinos is the worst pizza ever.
  14. This tourney is quickly looking like it can turn into a joke real quick....any team can make it far depending how the chips fall. My understanding is once they make the bracket there will be no reseeding, however replacements can be done the first 48 hours. So take Kansas for an example and they are a #4 seed. My understanding is even if something happened in those 48 hours they will get replaced by a team outside the tourney and that team will go straight into their #4 seed position. Or you know, a team like Kansas could have what happened today and the low seed would get an automatic win due to forfeit. It really isn't far fetched for any team to make the Sweet 16 without ever playing a game or playing against opponents with multiple players out due to COVID. In normal conditions could this Badgers team make it to the Elite 8, umm no...not without a miracle. It is just like any other year though. You just need to get a little hot, get good match ups, and probably have a high seed get knocked out so you never have to face them. Except now you can also get lucky via COVID reasons. The Badgers biggest issues right now is the fact they seem solidly on that 8/9 line. If they face a #1 seed, yah, I wouldn't bet on the Badgers. If they could find themselves as a #7 seed they may get lucky and face a Big Ten team that is a #2...a more realistic chance for them to beat a high seed.

  16. Whether he starts the season in the rotation or not there is no way the Brewers aren't giving him another long/extended look in the rotation. They didn't give him that big contract to quickly put him in the bullpen and never give him another shot to prove his worth.
  17. My understanding from how it is laid out is the only game someone can be assured is Opening Day IF it was apart of your plan. Outside of that everything is credited in April to your account...every single ticket holder is straight into these pre-sales...of course that seems to be the way it is worded. I can't imagine people are getting their tickets and then have an opportunity to get a presale before or at the same time as fans choice people who are just trying to get the tickets they paid for. That doesn't make any sense and I highly doubt that is the case. If it is I would be on the phone pretty quickly with my rep to get a refund and never be a SSH again. However, from the sounds of it they will stash some opening day tickets for the normal single game ticket date in late March. Comical they can't assure a SSH opening day after they let the team hold their money for a year, but will sit there saying they will 'prioritize' them.
  18. Funny they told all the fans choice people they had to switch to a set plan to assure opening day and then plop everyone in the same pre-sale time slot not assuring them opening day at all.
  19. I think it essentially means the player has power to hit a ball far, but doesn't do it consistently in games. Why? Well BP is usually 60 MPH meatballs...in game isn't as simple as practice. Most of the time it probably boils down to pitch awareness and being able to square it up.
  20. Yah...please don't do this Brewers. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/mlb-mets-practice-world-series-game-7-celebration-spring-training-203407227.html
  21. Any season seat holders get any information yet on tickets? Sounded like they were finally going to shed some light on things this week...but thus, crickets. Of course I am far down the line of getting information, any full season holders get any specific correspondence yet?
  22. My parents found my first wallet in a box not too long ago. 50 cent piece and my whittling chip from cub scouts still there. Though a few days after my mom was telling me this I sliced my finger real good trying to open a bottle of whiskey with a knife so someone should probably take my whittling chip away. Also for the record, no, I hadn't had a drink before cutting my finger. It was a stupid bottle with wax on the top and the pull tab broke so I had to chip away the wax.
  23. The article is everything I assumed and further confirms my assumption that even when there is a separate app that you can just pay for it won't even make financial sense for most. Why pay $30 or whatever just for the Brewers? Might as well get cable. Only reason cable has it is because old people subsidize it for everyone else. Can you imagine how many people on watch like 10 basic channels and give charter 100+ a month? They can get a package from Charter that includes all that for like $25. Oh well, feel bad for the Brewers.
  24. I love deferred money. Just kick the can down the road until you have a stretch of time where it does matter and it slowly goes away. I am sure there is a percent of the payroll they put a cap on to be dead money like that. As long as you know what you are doing it is a very effective way for our low payroll to survive a bit higher in competing years. The down years with naturally low payrolls can handle the deferred money eventually.
  25. Sir, 10am on a Tuesday is a little early to be a 12 pack and some shots deep.
