  1. These are the kind of random facts that I demand in life.
  2. Chiefs were thinking punt all the way...that falls on the ST coach. Total brain fart not to play it safe. On Mahomes, I’m not arguing what he can do or his talent. He just hasn’t been that guy terribly often or consistently this year...especially post injury. I don’t think it is really debatable either, much like Rodgers he hasn’t been himself. Having electric WRs and Kelce helps hide that. Like I said he is the best QB left, but he is nowhere near MVP level. I concur with you guys on the PI call. Wasn’t a fan.
  3. Mahomes isn’t what is scary, it is his weapons...mainly Kelce and Hill. Both are match ups nightmares and get into open space a lot. His has not been that special this year, especially post injury. Accuracy has been iffy at times and he hasn’t dealt with pressure incredibly well. It isn’t that hard to hit his receivers when they always have 5+ yards separation. He is probably the best QB remaining, but he isn’t what makes that offense what it is.
  4. I’d rather play the Chiefs. Why? I just don’t think it is a very well rounded team. I feel like Henry could run all over us and the passing game to go with that could really give us problems.
  5. JK Scott worries me, active or not. With the amount of dud games and just plain terrible punts in general it seems he can lose focus as is. Whether the flu is still lingering or starting to be in his rear view mirror he probably will be feeling a bit weak and/or crummy. It’s a game where we cannot afford 30 yard shanks and just plain short punts in general like the last SF game. Always nice to be positive, but I am betting we punt inside or own 30 quite a few times today. A couple booming punts can be a large difference maker in those spots while a 30 yard punt can be devastating.
  6. With how dumb DBs are these days just go for it on 4th down and throw a bomb to the safety. Pretty much assured they will catch it and you can get a 60+ yard punt. I wish that could be in blue, but I can’t even recall the last team a DB intentionally dropped a 4th down pass for better field position.
  7. I don’t think our defense is all that special, but I predict tomorrow it is going to do a rarity in the Rodgers era...carry us. I think there is only one case in the entire Rodgers era the defense was the reason we won, Bears NFCCG game. I think the Packers are going to have a great defensive game plan and are going to execute it. Going back to the first game the defense was actually quite solid, especially in the second half. I think people are underestimating the Packers because of that first meeting score, but I think it is much closer than people think. The 49ers offense isn’t special and can definitely turn in a dud performance. If our offense doesn’t shoot our defense in the foot (short fields/not giving them a break) I am incredibly confident the 49ers will max out at 21-24 points. I think a potential key to the game (outside of the turnover battle) is avoiding drive killing sacks. In a lot of our games our offense is night and day different depending on the kind of sacks we give up. When teams get those early down sacks our offense crumbles quick and never gets going. I am very concerned about the running game, but maybe we just need a more creative offensive gameplan.
  8. I don’t even think it’s about vaping, but rather the illegal THC-laced cartridges that were causing serious health issues for a small number of people. By no means am I claiming vaping is safe, but your average Juul cartridge wasn’t sending kids to the hospital. Just enforce existing laws. I think there were more motives than that. They are also cracking down on flavors too. So obviously they want to curb the “trendy” high school vibe that was going on.
  9. This all came about because of that vaping stuff. It isn’t about cigarettes. Younger people typically don’t smoke ole cigarettes. Cigars have a lukewarm trendy feel to some though.
  10. Every single soul in that dugout knew. There is absolutely no way you don’t. Players had to of been talking about it all the time, there is literally a random dude chilling in the hallway of the dugout with a live feed, and it’s hard to ignore guys making music on a trash can. I didn't think that sarcasm needed to be put it blue but...I was being sarcastic. But, really, Verlander has made a big stink about morality about PED's and domestic abusers, how has that not been brought up in all of this? Someone posted a quote on Twitter where Verlander was actually calling out sign stealing in 2017 before he was traded there. If anyone needs to give back a ring it is him. Verlander called out the sign stealing, got traded there, they continued to cheat, and he said nothing. Funny stuff

    Pizza

Has anyone ever had a Real ‘Za? It looks pretty good on the box and almost got them when my grocery store had them on sale.
  12. Not everyone is about being on a winning team. Some guys actually want to go somewhere that will utilize the talents they have and have a chance to play more. Probably would not mind be closer to home too.
  13. I didn’t even know Washington was still a coach these days. He also isn’t as old as I originally thought. But going on 68 he would still be the oldest manager. In a pinch I wouldn’t be surprised to see with them going with someone that has experience, but 60+ year old managers isn’t exactly a trendy thing.
  14. I don’t think that is what they mean by “standing out”.
  15. Not every team is doing it. There is no proof of that and it doesn’t make any sense. Why are there players around MLB that are furious and calling out the Astros if everyone does it? If you don’t care, fine, but don’t try to shrug it off like every team does it...cause they don’t. As far as their home/road splits, I don’t get the argument there. Are people trying to say it didn’t help them or even made them worse? Why would they be so determined to do it then? This helped them out greatly. It’s like playing a video game and peaking over at your buddy’s controller. You may not know where he is trying to pitch it or how it will act...but knowing the pitch coming is huge. Reminds me of split screen madden when you could see the three or four plays your buddy was picking from, but instead you know the specific play.
  16. Well one year is in the books and there was not a single instance where a team got awarded a touchdown and the replay was hard to tell if it was a fumble or not. There was, however, many cases where the refs let it play out and it was indeed a fumble. For whatever reason in history refs called players down at an incredible rate in those scoop and score situations. One thing I do find concerning is that new camera they slap down by the 1st down stick. That angle became pretty important on the game winning throw, but that camera is put down carelessly sometimes and isn't always lined up perfect. It definitely seemed to be off on that controversial 1st down.

    Pizza

At least Dominos uses fresh dough. I am pretty sure Pizza Hut uses frozen pucks these days and it kind of shows. For that reason I definitely think the quality you get at Dominos can greatly vary depending on how well ran the store is ran. Some Dominos are ran badly and it really sheds a bad light on the ones that do good. I have never had Papa Johns or Jet's for that matter. I have typically not heard good things about either. Of course the only Jet's I knew of was in a Chicago 'burb where the people think Chicago pizza is the greatest thing to ever exist. However, I don't think a single Chicago area pie would be anywhere near the Top 10 I have ever had.
  18. I am really just hoping my favorite Astro is not involved in any capacity...Orbit.
  19. Agreed. Trevor Bauer is a moron, and yes, the "buzzer" thing is fake. As said by MLB. This isn't true, they simply found no evidence of it. Which is very far from saying it is fake in an investigation greatly aided by what players were willing to tell them.
  20. The narrative has never and will never be Rodgers not being able to get it done...at least not a widely accepted concept. The blame is usually placed on the team around him crumbling. I can really only think of two times where they lost and Rodgers didn't play good. One was the Cardinals game, but then again he put together an insane drive to cause OT. His defense then blew OT on the first play (I think). The other was the Seahawks game. Which again the defense flat out crumbled and had one of the biggest choke jobs in playoff history. I believe in that game the Packers essentially gave up one giant play in OT and Rodgers again did not get an opportunity. Rodgers still didn't play great in those games, but at crunch time his defense blew it and he never got a chance in OT. I think Rodgers has three losses in the playoffs where his team gave up 40+ and there is one they gave up 37. That is over 50% of his losses. I just don't think he is really comparable to someone like Favre, who at times, was terrible in playoff games and was good at being apart of the plays that lost games.
  21. Every single soul in that dugout knew. There is absolutely no way you don’t. Players had to of been talking about it all the time, there is literally a random dude chilling in the hallway of the dugout with a live feed, and it’s hard to ignore guys making music on a trash can.
  22. It may have some advantage. It’s quiet so you won’t get questioned for trash can banging. I also assume you can do it way more. I would guess they didn’t bang a trash can 24/7 as that would become real obvious something was up. It’s also a faster delivery to the hitter. Quite the plan they had. I’d love for the buzzer things to be confirmed or squashed...but really seems they were. There were rumblings of players wearing electronics even before this all blew up. Astros might not have been the only team going to those extreme lengths.
  23. I think the loophole part of the guys claim is important...it infers illegitimate reasons for taking it. Which doesn’t make total sense to me because getting HGH legally isn’t exactly a Wal Mart isle thing. I don’t get how you can find a “loophole” to take HGH.
  24. So I searched google and a similar theory from 2014 came up on a martial arts forum. I’m guessing Trout has some thyroid condition that is somewhat public knowledge? Here is what the guy said: “Not going to name names, but a friend of mine plays in the Angels organization says the "medication" Mike Trout has taken before for his "thyroid" condition is TRT or some type of HGH. Here are 2 pics of Mike Trout.”
  25. I think it is pretty reasonable to assume he wanted to keep the jersey and the reason he took it off is to put it somewhere safe. Most notably safe from Gatorade showers. Maybe....maybe not. He probably had to go thank the ALCS MVP in the hallway too.
