  1. I mean what are you suppose to do when the other team circles you on their bench?
  2. I mean that was the only choice when they didn’t score.
  3. You know if this goes to extras we could easily throw a no hitter and lose.
  4. Nah, if we score I 100% send him back out. 125 pitches isn’t what kills you. It is when you throw that over and over. If he would want to go out, let him.
  5. Nah, not the pick six...that one was pretty cringe. It was the last drop in this video. His attempt to catch it seemed pretty lackluster, but the throw sure seemed pretty off as is. If we are being perfectly honest, even the second throw left a lot to be desired. Way too low and Toney had no idea how off that throw was because the other WR ran in front of him.
  6. That throw was solidly behind him, no? What is definitely bad, Andy Reid. I get trying to decide your fate…but 4th and 25? Come on man, that’s just idiotic.
  7. Record: 9-8 Will we make the playoffs? No. Offensive MVP: Aaron Jones Offensive Most Improved Player: Love Offensive Rookie of the Year: Reed. Most Receiving Yards: Watson Most Rushing Yards: Jones. Most TDs total (rushing or receiving): Jones Love's QB line: Rating, Yards, TDs, INTs: 95, 3700, 30, 18 Defensive MVP: Walker Defensive Most Improved Player: Walker. Defensive Rookie of the Year: Van Ness Most Sacks: Smith. Most INTs: Alexander Carlson's FG%: 79% Others : Jordan Love makes the pro bowl. Between injuries and people dropping out, something tells me Love will be making the pro bowl. I think he has a good enough offense to help him put up some number stats and I think he can limit the INTs.
  8. Yah...if Trevor Bauer got blacklisted, Urias is quite unlikely to pitch in the MLB again. Especially considering this isn't even his first time with DV happenings. That being said, sounds like he should worry about staying out of jail first.
  9. 103.3 MPH 4-seamer to watch a sub 90 MPH slider. Brutal
  10. They did it to themselves though. They tried to get greedy and demand too much. They could have been eating the Big 12 up, instead the Big 12 signed the ESPN deal and turned around to wipe them off the planet.
  11. I think it is likely both go or neither go. The Alonso rumor is a bit interesting and may hint the odds they return is higher than one would assume. Their values may be low enough that they may just role the dice and QO them after the year. Burnes is probably more likely to get traded. Adames? Might as well bring him back. He isn't that special, I don't think you are going to trick any team into thinking the contrary. Might as well hope he pulls a 2021 to start the season and trick someone into thinking he is the offensive jewel of the 2024 deadline. 2024 seems like a solid year to trade some guys if the offers are pretty good and keep them if it is meh. Don't go around signing big contracts or trading for guys that aren't controllable. Just see how the younger guys do and see if they can create a strong core to build upon. Maybe do what we did pre-2018 and sign a Villar/Shaw to see if we catch lightning in the bottle.
  12. They may not call it rebuilding, but with Burnes/Woodruff both on the outs here momentarily, they are quite unlikely to be a serious WS contender...heck, they aren't even that now. Counsell probably doesn't want to man a ship that is going to be projected on the outside looking in just to make the postseason...let alone a WS.
  13. Clicks for the forum, that is the argument for Yelich. Only reason for this article.
  14. CC is a perfect manager for the Brewers. However, the mystery around his contract is pretty clear he doesn’t want to manage a rebuild. He has kids and such. Burnes and Woodruff have a year left, if neither returns…he won’t. No one wants a Milwaukee championship outside of fans more than CC…but if it isn’t possible, he has better things to do. It should be interesting to see how that transpired after the season. Something tells me Counsell will leave before Burnes/Woodruff/Off-season ever kicks off. The writing is kind of on the wall already.
  15. I think you are really underestimating how bad the Cardinals have been and how bad their record is. They are on pace for nearly 100 losses. The chance they pass up three teams to win the division is seriously minuscule…there are only like 3 teams in baseball with a worse record. If the Brewers (or Reds for that matter) played .500 baseball the rest of the year, which is probably pretty realistic, the Cardinals would have to go 56-34 to pass them up. 101 win pace the rest of the year. I’m betting that doesn’t happen.
  16. Could I see the Cardinals besting one of those teams? Two of them? Sure The problem is, they would have to outplay 4 teams…two of which are ahead by a very large 8+ game gap. Considering they almost surely aren’t going to notably try to improve their team…I think it is time people stop letting the Cardinals live rent free in their heads 24/7.
  17. I find this incredibly disappointing. When you think baseball, you think of the fields, the grounds crew, and the art of making the baseball fields what they are. All the effort to keep them in top shape for 162+ games through changing seasons. AmFam was specifically constructed in a way to allow enough natural light into a retractable roof stadium to grow natural grass…which I believe was quite a feat when it had been done. They then got the grow lights to make the grass go from decent the great. Taking all that into consideration, it is so disappointing to think they might rip up the field fo put down fake grass. The natural grass was probably one of the lone things that made AmFam not feel like an airplane hanger completely and that it was a bit outdoors. That being said, here is a cool info video about the Rangers field…which is pretty likely what the Brewers would install. Notably, theirs doesn’t have rubber pellets for ‘dirt’. It is a coconut shell ground up. https://insidetheblueprint.com/texas-rangers-new-stadium-features-innovative-synthetic-grass/
  18. He already has a guaranteed contract next year to prove it (he could miss the rest of the year and we are still offering arby…unless his elbow explodes)
  19. I always said the Brewers should have just blown it up if they were going to be lukewarm on competing…that feeling certainly would have been the better option. Though aggressively trying to compete probably would have been worse than what we are doing right now. With all the Adames extension talk I thought they were way better off just trading him over an extension. Thankfully they didn’t extend him…but yikes, sure wish they would have sold high on him. I don’t know…I didn’t hate what they did in the off-season…but I always had a feeling it was going to end up with a middling .500ish record at best.
  20. I wouldn’t be surprised if their contracts were identical year wise. It doesn’t matter either way. They can fire him if it is past 2023 if they wanted to move on.
  21. His comments have always hinted at "I won't be around for a rebuild". Well, this team is embarrassing...not winning it this year and the outlook after this year is really pathetic in the short term. Counsell is gone, for sure. I don't think it is that much of a loss and it honestly won't matter for the foreseeable future as we try to rebuild. Matt Arnold should get fired at the end of the year to leave with him.
  22. You are spoiling the All-Star Break merch release: 'Ask me about my cease and desist letter'.
  23. Used to be a trade sub-forum for stuff like this so the main sub-forum didn't have to be people joining the forum to sell us T-Shirts.
